I think that's called "Normal Difficulty".

Oh man, I wish our server ran this...I'd love to tag and cage a "sheeper" to annoy a couple of players.

    Quote from miniac01

Recently, I've been wondering if Minecraft will ever die down. I have been noticing there is a small drop in downloads a day.

Market saturation. It's been out long enough now that most everyone who wanted a legal copy has bought one. There will still be some amount of new players who are just introduced, children who get old enough to have their own account, replacement accounts for various reasons, but the sales of a product invariably slow down after a time because of saturation.

    Oh, and PS...
NOT a surprise, that Minecraft sale has slowed down. People wont buy it anymore, because it's ruined. When Minecraft first appeared, it got like 10 million sales, in a short time. Now, about a year have been, and we have now 11,5 million sales. Why? You know why.
Or X360 version. Why it got 4 million sales in a month, and then it stopped? Because that they noticed 4J is WAY too lazy to update it, and published it as a BETA, instead of the FULL version, and 1 update takes about 4 months.

By now, most of the baseline of folks who want the game have already acquired it. Some children are getting old enough to ask for a copy, some folks are just discovering it finally and will buy it, some folks who wanted it all along are going to end up having the money now or having access to a credit card to buy it, but overall anything that doesn't have ongoing costs will reach a saturation point and sales slow.

Morrowind has the more complex skilling system like Oblivion. I personally feel it held up rather well, but I'm not a graphics snob, either...to me a well put together game with good music has a fair bit of leeway on graphics. Morrowind FPS Optimizer does a superb job of coaxing it to play nicely with modern resolutions, too.

    Where does that line belong?

Throw us a little bone here, willya? It shouldn't be the hardest thing to add, unless there's an issue with the texture not wrapping properly, as I noticed with a modified netherbrick texture a couple of versions ago.

I've seen 2-3. One outside in the desert, another on a river acting as a boundary between swamp and extreme hills edge. I want to say another somewhere but I'm blanking on where.

That's not a true MOTD, that's merely Rei's functionality. However, if you look on the Rei's thread, there's a small MOTD mod that you can install to provide the functionality for enabling radar. For single player/LAN worlds, you want to use the client version.

posted a message on Bats in old maps?
The longer you're in an area, the more bats seem to spawn. Server that was started with 1.0 has had no trouble getting bats in both newly generated terrain and older but still dark caves in chunks near spawn.

Anyone know if there are plans to make enitity mapping working in minecraft Lan servers?

    Quote from DonBallew

supposedly there is a motd mod you can install to make it where you can turn it on, but i dont understand it so havnt tried it

Rei makes the motd mod as well, and it's updated along with the map. There will be a zip file under a subheader on the main post; you simply put the files from the client version of the motd mod into your client jar file then paste the right variables for what you wish to enable into a motd file which sits in your main Minecraft folder, similar to how the server version worked.

Don't make it harder than it truly is. It's one of the simplest installs if you don't overthink it. Do make sure if you use Optifine that you install everything in the proper order, however!

Edited: Very nice work getting a version up this quickly, Rei! Thank you for being so responsive.
