No. It's a sandbox game. As long as you don't interfere with other people's enjoyment of the game, there is no reason to think that doing that would be cheating.

You have the means to possibly solve your issue.
If you know how to fix a problem you have, but don't do it, don't complain. That's my mindset.

I've just got to say, this has got to be the most amazing texture pack I've ever seen, along with the most original. My hat goes off to you, my friend, but sadly, Minecrat crashes whenever I try to run it, my computer must not be quite up to snuff
My brain hurts. Why does anyone care if another person plays on peaceful? Does it have an effect on you? No. Why have a static difficulty system? Some people play on hard, some people play on peaceful, as long as they have fun, I could not care less how they play. And for people that are saying that switching to peaceful to get out of a tight spot is cheating, same thing as above, if someone wants to do that, why does it bother you? It has no effect on you what so ever.
I was gonna make a big sarcastic post, but screw it.
People aren't mad because there were no huge changes in the switch, they're mad because, yet again, Notch has waited until the last second and broke the hell out of the game. Yes, some of you haven't come across any issues, but a lot of us are experiencing random lag and java exception errors.
I know, "It's only beta." But guess what, we didn't have these issues before. Progressing in updates is supposed to result in less bugs, not adding in game-breaking bugs. We're disappointed in the fact that a game we enjoy is being rendered unplayable. That the servers many of us are paying to have hosted are stressing under the new code.
And my god, I can't believe how fast most of you people are to scream "troll" at anyone who is upset with the development process.
As for saying how most developers don't allow players in until completion: Had Minecraft remained in closed testing until late beta or release, it would never be anywhere near as successful as it is. The main draw to Minecraft for most people is seeing what's to come. But when all that comes is more bugs, we're disappointed. So, stop asking people to not be disappointed or to not voice their disappointment.
Also: Notch is thirty-****ing something years old. He doesn't need a hundred thousand 14 year olds to defend him, and he's not gonna be your friend because you called someone who said he wasn't god a troll.

LOVE this texture pack, one big problem though; When in cave systems, Iron is rather hard to spot, If it wasn't for that, I would use this pack all the time. Otherwise, It's amazing.
I make my inventory button "E" and ever since the 1.2.5 update, it goes back to "I" everytime I load up the game, and it's getting pretty annoying. Please fix it Notch? D:
