posted a message on Feint Dragon roar in Overworld
    Quote from The_Zapster

I like this idea, as a new player would wonder what the roar was and try to find where it came from, and also just a nice little mystery element.

Also, I think after the final roar of the Enderdragon, (after exiting through the portal back into the Overworld,) the wither's gong sound should follow it.

that is a great idea maybe we can then start a topic about a wither roar hahahah

but jokings aside the wither roar is a very nice idea and makes you think "it isn't over?"

I suggest a high-tech war robot. Some superior prototype that came from a military facility.
It would look cool with the wither armor on. Like a force field.

(Oh, this looks very wither-like to me: http://danielmartins...-Robot-65126900)

I really love your idea, and by the way I was out and unable to wish you all a happy holiday sorry :(

posted a message on Rain Forest...
please give more detalis and only one suggestion per topic if you suggest a new biome you have to make a separate thread for the new mobs, and just a little hint: like PoisonDagger said, do NOT make a thread on birds.

    Quote from thelordpyroman

Isn't a rainforest very similar to a jungle? Also, I believe not a lot of people enjoy rain, so it could get annoying overtime.

But I might change my mind if you give more details.

I personally hate rain and would even make me not want to explore a rain forest just because of that

posted a message on Feint Dragon roar in Overworld
    Quote from GearshiftingFox

    I support this idea.
Although I don't really like the limit on it.
I think it should happen rarely, but with a guaranteed roar at these moments:
    • First midnight.
    • Iron tools.
    • All eyes in end portal.
Also, it should happen more frequently around strongholds and high places.
(And they should stop completely if the dragon is dead.)

Yeah you are right, although this is just a crazy idea of mine but what if you heard it one last time when you return from the end just after killing the dragon? that would be a little spooky

This is really vague, and unless you expand on them (add stats, a little description, and where do they spawn) the mods will lock this preety soon

posted a message on Forgotten Beasts (Randomly generated bosses)
    Quote from baddaspig

Support, but it probably shouldn't be fully randomized the way you described, because a lot of them will end up as something stupid, or an insanely OP dragon that looks like a penis, or something weird like that. There could be some guidelines, like a reptile only gets certain specified modifiers, and a golem gets different ones, maybe biome-specific stuff too so that you don't get the fire blob in a snow biome.

lol all fear the mighty penis dragon, you sir made my day hahahahahha

on topic this is an awesome idea and I would like to see it one day support!

    Quote from CoziestHat

It would be a shame to have loads of empty bookcases surrounding your Enchanting Table, and you would have to write several books just to make it look nice.

I agree with him/her and this is one of those redundant suggestions

posted a message on Should villagers be able to do what we can do defend the selfs and build.
    Quote from SteadyArc

Above posts have summed up your flaws for the most part. I had something in mind similar to this; but it is not the least irrational as your idea. I was thinking something sensible as in making it an option to have ADVANCED villagers whom can: extend their territories, trade amongst each other, fight off hostile enemies, hunt animals in a nearby radius. I don't know if this is easily done or even the slightest possible, but it would be a real sufficient improvement in the game.

To sum it up briefly; I would enjoy seeing the villagers being tweaked a bit to have more features (Maybe even build a relationship with them and allow them to help you with certain tasks). They don't necessarily have to have everything I mentioned but they are just some proposals I threw up in the air to simply...ponder over.

    ~SteadyArc

it would be nice for them to help you with certain tasks, like you give a villager a hoe and he will take care of your farm, and deposit its contents on a nearby chest and replant it (maybe this isn't even possible to code but who knows) or simple stuff like that.

you really need to expand your topic and quickly if a mod sees this he or she will lock it right away

    Quote from Crecs

I will ask the team what we can do about the clock, as it is obviously not finished. We will probably use yours and credit you for it.

Anyway, I'd like to announce that the final cut of the first update to this pack, now branded the Nuclear Winter Update, is going to come out over holiday break, and until then, I will be showing screenshots of new textures being made. That way we can have some constructive criticism really early on (which is a good thing). We also may release tiny Tester Releases which will have all the beta textures shown before the big update is released. For now, here are some flowers to gaze at. Textures are pending, based on how literal the flowers end up being.

    Allium

    Oxeye Daisy

    Azure Bluet

    actual in-game footage

By the way if no one has found it yet, there is a texture for something that wasn't intended to be released yet in the most recent download, but I won't bother removing it now, just know that it will be changed.

    Absolutely love the new textures!
    keep up the good work
