Personally I don't see how anyone would need 138k items a hour. I know tnt is used by alot of people, but if a tnt project requires THAT much gunpowder, it'll probably crash your computer anyways!
Well, In order to make the biggest mob trap, you'll need to make it produce more than 30k items a hour. Thats the largest mob trap I've seen, but someone may have broke that record by now.
I don't really see how to effectively make a huge mob trap like this and still run it. The sheer size would be over-whelming, the number of signs would lag the sever, and it would take multiple players scattered around the map to enable it to run at full speed.
Plus the fact that you're trying to do this legit will keep alot of people away, plus you'll have to deal with those low-life greifers, which can easily ruin this whole project.
I wish you luck with this project, I may check around later on to see if you're still doing this, but I don't really see this being done.
The picture is either a shrub or the pokemon meowth, by my guessing.
The 2nd addition was probably the new lighting, though it could be somthing else thats carefully hidden, notch is a evil genius troll, for all we know there might not be a 2nd thing!
Eh it seems good but I think the technical uses of Redstone is more efficient. BUT if you make a Hanging Redstone Lantern or chandelier I will jump on board.
I agree it's uncommon to find lava lakes at the surface, but its not very suprising.
I for one discovered one a little ways from my base, directly below a little bit of sand, its provided me with a source of lava for all my projects for a while now.
Idk what I'll do if it runs out, I may have to go to *shudders* the Nether....
Well, I'm currently a massive, self sustaining underground base, complete with every farm inmaginable, vaults, and eventually a minecart roller coaster.
Maybe even a little bit of pixel art if I feel like clearing out enough room.
All of this is legit of course, plus I also have plans for a Floating city, which I plan on starting very soon.
notch is a geniusm don't down-play him because 1.8 is taking a while. Heck, if he released it full of bugs and unfinished people would be raging about it, but when he trys to take the time to iron it out, people complain about that.
some people are un-satisfiable, if your not satisfied with how Mojang is making minecraft, which in my opinion good, considering everything they've done, Then go out and make your own video game, lets see how far you would get!

You could also make a tutorial on how to make circular buildings.
