    I just said that part of the idea was so you DIDN'T have to go to the Nether to make it.

    Thats what everyone said about the lantern.

    And how is it powered?
    If it makes things shift, could it not then act as it does to a redstone torch, but on a far stronger scale?

    How about you make a circuit to the lightstone and put a lever on the other side to make it admit more light.

    We all happy now?

    A redstone torch doesn't need power to function, you just plop it on the ground and it lights (or, well, kind of does) up. Also, lightstones have the brightest light available afaik, so making them brighter would require some internal game modifications.

    It is a suggestion, no need to get so worked up.

    Im not getting worked up... Im explaining the facts, if you want a lightbulb use 'light'stone.[/quote]

    Marble and limestone is a good idea but...

    Cactus armour would be absolutely brilliant, you must learn how to mod Minecraft and add it straight away.

    Red stone doesn't make sense, redstone is for circuits, not light. You mean lightstone.

    Circuits = Electricity. And the idea of the lightbulb was A; to make some sort of light that can be used with redstone and B; to make a permanent type of light without having to go to the nether. You could replace the redstone in there with a torch or something if it makes you feel any better.

    Redstone isnt electricity. Its fictional magic that makes things shift.

    Are you going to keep discussing semantics?

    It is a suggestion, no need to get so worked up.

    Xbox 360 cannot run Minecraft. Especially PS3! Both of them lacks so much RAM! They rather choosed to include better CPU and better Graphic cards...but why did they ignore the RAM?!

    Ok, so systems that can run games like Black Ops and ArmA can't run Minecraft?

    What the hell are you smoking, my good man? Black Ops requires 2 gigs of RAM, Minecraft only needs about 1.

    So what I was thinking was something like a lightbulb that can be powered by redstone. Something like a torch, but brighter (light level of 15), can't be extinguished by water, can't burn out (when Notch adds the ability for torches to burn out) and will keep running so long as they are connected to running electricity. Maybe have it built like this?
    [] :Glass: []
    :Glass: :Flint: :Glass:
    [] :Glass: []
    :Flint: = Redstone

    What do you guys think?

    posted a message on Why do so many people interpret Herobrine as evil?
    I mean, seriously, I've seen this one sig with Herobrine at the bottom with all the creepers and skeletons and ****. In that mod that adds humans, he spawns in your house at night. You guys seem to think that just because he was featured in a pretty well made creepypasta (which was more like interestingpasta but that doesn't have the same ring to it), he is OBV SUPAR EVIL DOODZ.

    I mean, if he really is a digital manifestation of Notch's dead brother, why is he still around? Lets look at a rundown of what happens to dead guys, they either stay dead and do nothing (Atheism), go to Heaven (Christianity), go to whatever other afterlife your strange religion has or maybe reincarnate as something. Because Minecraft is (supposedly) set in medieval times, let's say that it uses a Christian method of beliefs. Herobrine was an evil person when he was alive but he died and he couldn't get accepted into Heaven, so he stalks the earth, begging eternal forgiveness from the denizens of Minecraft.

    Think about it.

    I think it makes sense.

    Did you guys find your computers buried under the ground for 15 years or something? How can you possibly lag so much playing Alpha on "Fast" and "Tiny"? I ran Alpha incredibly smoothly on "Fancy" and "Far", 70-100 FPS at all times, but yeah, I'm still getting heaps of lag, it's actually incredibly annoying.

    posted a message on Wineries, grapes and wine.
    Care to explain?

    Most certainly, I've just come across an idea to add wine to Minecraft, now I have a number of reasons why I think it would be a good idea, here is the list;

    -Adding more consumables to the game, the game could do with a bit more consumables, the list it currently has is a bit small.

    -Giving extra rooms a purpose, whenever I go into a multiplayer server, so many rooms there are just for decoration.

    -Adding a bit of a roleplaying aspect, wouldn't it be grand to have a couple of friends clad in tuxedos, all sitting in a nicely lit, stone room, listening to a record, discussing fine arts and drinking wine?

    -Giving more uses to blocks/items/etc, just read and you'll see where I'm going with this.

    Now that is over, onto the first steps of actually making the wine.

    The press and growing the grapes, and putting the grapes in the press

    So, to grow the grapes, I think they should be grown like wheat is, you till the grass until you find some grape seeds, then you plant them. Simple. When they're mature, harvest them, and what do you know, grapes. I don't have a picture for it, but they should be grown on a fence or a vine or something. Growing conditions (eg wet dirt, light) can stay the same as wheat.

    The wine-press

    (excuse the poor photo manipulation, but details can wait)

    So this is where the master plan comes into action, when you make the wine press, that is the foundation for making the wine. When you make the wine press, it gets into your inventory like a block, when you lay down the block, it's the standard 1x1x1 block like always (except it looks like a wine press). When you right click the wine press, you'll open a crafting menu that looks like this;

    I haven't included in the picture, but what I think is you add the grapes (and the topping) and press a button inside the crafting menu somewhere (with a picture of a foot inside it or something), and when the button is pressed, the arrow fills up with white (like a furnace) and when it is done, you get x amount of wine. I am thinking that the wine process should go as follows;

    You can put as many grapes and toppings in as you like, and when the foot is pressed, you must wait until the arrow is filled and the litres of wine is extracted to make more.

    You can only extract the wine with a wine bottle, which is crafted like this;

    A single wine bottle will take 4 amounts of wine out of the press, the ratio is 1:1, so 4 grapes is 4 amounts of wine, so you'll only need 1 bottle to take it all out.

    You can pour the bottle into a glass (which I don't have a picture for). A glass is good for one use. You keep the glass when you're consumed the wine (likewise with the bottle). You can drink the wine straight out of the bottle if you aren't sharing with anyone. Drinking out of the bottle, you will only drink 1 amount at a time. You COULD just drink all the amounts at once, but that'll have more effects.

    Different kinds of wine

    Like I showed you with the 2x1 crafting table, the bottom one is used for the grapes, the top one is used for toppings, here are the wines that I've thought of.

    Regular Wine

    -Heals for 3 hearts.
    -Drinking more than 3 amounts will get you drunk.

    Apple Wine

    -Heals for all 10 hearts.
    -Drinking more than 3 amounts will get you drunk.

    Rock Wine

    -Heals for 5 hearts.
    -Cannot get drunk.

    Explosive Wine

    -Heals for 3 hearts.
    -Any mob that the player hits with his bare hands will explode.
    -The above effect will last until the player dies.

    Light Wine

    -Heals for 3 hearts.
    -The player will illuminate with a light level of 15 until he dies.

    Obsidian Wine

    -Creepers will no longer explode, leaving them defenceless.

    I think that the wine bottle should glow different colours to signify what wine is in it, like a bucket, it should also be visibly clear how many amounts are in the bottle, so you can see at a glance how much wine is in it, 1/4 is 1 amount, 1/2 is 2 amounts, etc, etc.

    So guys, tell me what you think.
