Grum is in every screenshot, usually hidden somewhere. He was more...forward in this one.

I feel very similarly. Hands-on learners struggle with committing reading to memory, and the reverse is true for reader learners. Nice to have multiple approaches, I think.

There was no clear answer about controls, but speculation is that a new controller will be made for it. This is hearsay at the moment, no confirmation. Will elaborate if I find out more.

Beam integration, not Minecraft integration. Wrote it that way on purpose.
Beam integration allows interactivity in a number of games, Minecraft included. In Hypixel's case, the functionality was also included in their game servers, to allow players to use it more easily when playing there. -

That would be true if the argument wasn't still coming up. A cursory search of anything related to "games are bad" show the viewpoint is still very much alive and kicking.
That being said, it's more than just a claim of video games and their allegedly harmful effects (no different than comic books used to be seen, or as a poster above pointed out, actual books): it's that, like the aforementioned entertainment, they can be a viable tool for future careers, both directly and indirectly.
It might seem obvious to us, but there are far more people than not who still believe video games are a passing fad with no redeeming value. Much like film and comics, that has proven untrue. I'm a fairly minor example of that, but I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing without an unquenchable passion for the medium.
What amuses me is the thought of what will be the next entertainment scapegoat in the future. VR? Some other currently inconceivable medium? It's interesting to watch this sort of thing unfold, from a cultural standpoint. Dismissing it as nostalgic self-worship defeats the purpose of examining its value in the bigger picture.

This ignores whether the AI wants to do your chores. If developed correctly, it may very well have both the capability and desire to ignore anything it finds undesirable.

It wasn't released though, the movie isn't slated for release anywhere until 2019. Not much else is known about it for the moment.

Nothing ridiculous about not excluding potential customers. From a strictly business perspective, defying a demographic for the sake of making a statement is a great way to lose a lot of money.

Given your avatar at the moment, this must seem really ironic in hindsight.

It's a known issue, and being addressed.

As with anything I post in the news, I welcome suggestions from anyone. If you find something you would like to see up there (or alternately, a particular type of content you would prefer to see more or less of), feel free to let me know.

It might be more accurate to say "Mojang has a right to decide how people use their intellectual property, and can sue and/or prosecute, at their discretion, if a person or group are not in line with their wishes." That is, it's ultimately up to them whether any legal action is taken.

Sound advice, this.

If you know of servers that violate the EULA, report them to Mojang directly, so they can handle it.
0
That's the thing: the EULA is Mojang's prerogative to enforce, or not enforce, as they see fit. If we're speaking from a purely legal perspective, only they can do that. Our forum does not, and cannot, enforce that. Similarly, vigilante activities (blacklisting, call-outs, etc) are, regardless of the target, in violation of forum policy.

Hi there!
Your question should already be answered in my previous post. In short, we cannot reasonably determine, nor realistically enforce, the EULA outside of the forum itself. Our only jurisdiction is the forum, and it is where we keep our focus. Whether an advertising server is or isn't in violation isn't for us to decide, but for Mojang. If you feel a server in particular violates the EULA, you can (and should) report it to Mojang directly, and allow them to handle it.
0
Blarg, link fail on my part! Should be fixed now.
5
The short version about EULA enforcement is, "We cannot reasonably enforce it."
The longer version: Enforcing the EULA is, ultimately, Mojang's prerogative. It is their intellectual property to do what they like with, and part of that is deciding when, or if, they will enforce it. If you would like to report servers in violation, I would encourage you to drop a line here, and Mojang will address it as they will.
We are, above all else, a forum. By nature, forums encourage community discussion and interaction, and part of that is discussion about servers. Everyone can have their say about servers here, and that is fine to discuss, within reason (obvious exceptions exist, with name-calling, flaming, etc).
This thread still exists for the same reason threads about servers elsewhere still exist: it is open discussion, and we're all about that. However, what we cannot reasonably do is carry our rules outside of the forum itself, since it lies out of our control. What a server actually does, in practice, is not for us to decide. Again, if you feel you have found a server that breaks Mojang's rules, please report it here.
