Yeah, I haven't tried proxies myself, but I couldn't see them helping too much... I've contacted the Server OP and he's stumped too, so I'm clueless...

posted a message on Can't connect to a specific server...
So, I decided I would start playing Minecraft again after a year and a half hiatus. Unfortunately, I'm not able to get on to the server I frequently go on. I'm able to go on other servers, but I'm not playing for the sake of playing, I'm playing to play with my friends, so "Just play on another server." isn't going to cut it. I've tried re-configuring my ports (Even though that wouldn't do anything seeing as I can access other servers) I've tried deleting my .minecraft server and downloading the game again but nothing seems to work. I've had this issue before and in the past, the issue would have been fixed; but nothing seems to work, am I missing something?
Is anyone else having the same issue? It would be greatly appreciated to get some help resolving this issue.

It won't work, you need your actual IP, not your router IP, you can find it on sites such as whatismyip :biggrin.gif:

posted a message on Why the Call of Duty franchise is a terrible franchise
    Quote from jbritt

First, anyone that bitches about realism in a video game should be systematically hunted down and killed. If you want ****ing realism, go enlist. CoD is realistic to the extent that a video game can be realistic and still be enjoyable by a large audience.

If you can't follow the Modern Warfare storyline, you're a ****ing moron.

For the people that are bitching about each CoD being similar to the last, what would you have them do? There's only so much you can do with a FPS in a certain time frame. That being said, why should they change anything? It's an immensely popular franchise. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Yes, the Black Ops spawning is awful, but as easy as it is to get spawn-killed, it's just as easy to get spawn-kills. Good players learn to adapt and play within the system. If you don't want to get spawn killed be aware of where you are in game in relation to your teammates and the opposing team.

These games were primarily made for the multiplayer experience. As such, the campaigns are relatively short.

    Did I miss anything?

In fact, you missed a ton, bud! :biggrin.gif:
I explained, I don't care about the realism
Anyways, just to clarify, I'm not one of those video games should be realistic guys, I just think if a game is SUPPOSED to be realistic, it should...

Well, that's the thing though, aren't games supposed to be different? I can tell your not that smart when it comes to gaming... The point is quality, not quantity. Lastly, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". CoD:MW2 And CoD:BO have to be one of the most broken games I have ever played, the amount of glitches in those games are terrible.

posted a message on One thing that should be changed about MineCon
    Disclaimer
All right, I know for sure I'm speaking for many people when I post this, even though it might not be the most original idea, I at least I hope I reinforce this upcoming idea.

So, we are all pumped for the release of minecon and minecraft, right? I know I am. Anyways, MineCon is in Las Vegas this year, great location... Just not for the majority of it's players... Travel, Hotels, Food and other living expenses, PLUS tickets... Expensive. I mean, I know plenty of people who would go, they just can't. So what if mojang used Blizzard's idea for BlizzCon, and brought the Convention to the people who can't come, and stream it live? I mean, ticket sales would probably sky rocket, seeing as most people would be able to go then! But of course, there is a flaw. I know, setting up a stream might sound crazy this late, but if not for this year, why not NEXT year at least? That way the people who don't have access to the convention, can!

This may be kinda short, but I hope it helped reinforce a point...

-Sincerely, A dedicated fan who has played since Indev.
