Hey! I haven't mapped in a long while. (Some folks might remember me but I doubt it) I never got around to finishing my map as the hard drive on my computer crashed and I lost everything, but I'm looking to get back into the swing of things.
I would be interested in making an area for the map (Maybe Gray?). I am curious what version of minecraft this map would be made and how the loot will be balanced. Would each person make their own loot for their area or would someone design all the loot for the entire map? I know one of the problems with other collab maps is that loot was very unbalanced so someone had to go back and replace all the loot. Anyways I am very interested in this project and I'm excited to see what becomes of it.
Hi there guys, with my old laptop i do this. Any thoughts?
(Purple Wool - Arctic Vortex) Stil WIP WIP WIP
I really like the colours of the blocks you chose. Also, I'm not sure if this is intentional but the light and dark spots really add to the vortex feel
My keyboard broke so I had to type this up using on screen keyboard, which took me approximately 1000000000000000 hours so I'd really appreciate it if you gave it a look!
You've been placed in an eternal coma and in order to escape you must conquer all 16 of your biggest fears. Through each area you must prove your worth by capturing that realm's wool. Will you reach the awakening or will you find yourself trapped for eternity?

Fun Fact:
My keyboard has stopped working so I typed this whole thing up using on screen keyboard. *Sigh*
I'm going to work on Discordancy for a couple of hours. The block variation for the giant cavern has been completed, but it really needs erosion. After that we just need to make the island with the castle and the dungeon underneath.
It's mostly good, but the block variation is excessive in the first 3 screenshots. The first too are OK, but the third one actually hurts my eyes. Stone Bricks and Stone Slabs generally don't work well unless it's in a pattern.
@Draco_Rogue
This looks so nice! What wool is it?
@Sylf_
1. Ya I'm not sure why I said that, I went back and looked at it and it's quite clear that was on purpose.
2. That colour pallete is so nice! Can't wait for your map! Only thing I can suggest is add more ambient lighting.
I have been working on the Green Banner area of my map (even though there is plenty of work for the other areas too).
And I am going for a large area with many fortresses, citadels, castles, towers, etc. for the player to explore and find tons of loot guarded by mobs.
Here's my first attempt. The reward is a Diamond Sword with (if I remember correctly) Fire Aspect IV, Sharpness III, Smite III, Unbreaking III.
The area is in the nether, so the area will have some dangerous natural spawns as well. The background is flat sandstone because I am making these structures in my Tech Lab world and then copying and pasting them into the CTM map world save.
Anyways, here's an initial head on screenshot!
Note: I have NOT added the spawners or chests into the area so some of the decoration isn't 100% complete and I might have two of these across the area with different high-tier loot at the very top. The difficulty will be high at this point in the map.
A Closer Look:
Looks nice, but like Fang said, it's a little stumpy

If you wanted to say, add it to the LP section on the thread I'd be totally fine with that.

Just use the setbiome filter in mcedit while selecting the region you want to change
