So, you're saying that having 37 different food already isn't enough ??
Apple, Baked potato, Beetroot, Berrys, Beetroot soup, Bread, Cake, Carrot, Chorus Fruit, Cooked Chicken, Cooked Cod, Cooked Mutton, Cooked Porkchop, Cooked Rabbit, Cooked Salmon, Cookies, Dried Kelp, Golden Apples, Enchanted Golden Apple, Golden Carrots, Melon Slices, Mushroom Stew, Poisonous Potato, Pufferfish, Pumpkin Pie, Rabbit Stew, Raw Beef, Raw Cod, Raw Mutton, Raw Porkchop, Raw Rabbit, Raw Salmon, Rotten Flesh, Spider Eye, Steak, Suspicious Stew & Tropical Fish
....Actually I agree there should be more - as well as different ways of collecting.. for example you only get apples at random from oak trees, but I say we should be able to see the fruit (oranges, Banannas, Apples, Pears) in trees & be able to 'pick' them (right click on the leaf block)
Not sure about the basket though.. we've already got Barrels (cheaper alternative to Shulker boxes)
There is never enough. Minecraft should be a game without limits and this is very few compared to what its true potential could be.
If you are looking for a good mod site, then Minecraft CurseForge should be your go-to. Sites like 9Minecraft and Planet Minecraft tend to re-post mods created by the original owners, so do not trust them as the files may contain viruses.
I hate the new textures. It messes with mod makers who are used to the original vanilla textures and base their modded items on those looks. Not only that, but the textures look horrendous. Two things I hate: new texture updates and items & mobs that are not 16x16. That is why Minecraft 1.12.2 will always be the best edition out of all of them.

There are two mods that are helpful:
ToroHealth Damage Indicators (The mod in the screenshot): https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/torohealth-damage-indicators
Damage Indicators Mod (Another really cool one you see in a lot of videos): https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/damage-indicators-mod

Yes. Minecraft needs more variety with food. If you have very few options, then it would make the game boring.
