    posted a message on [SOLVED][FORGE]Player capabilities not working

    public class KeyInputHandler {

    @SubscribeEvent
    public void onKeyInput(InputEvent.KeyInputEvent event) {
    if(KeyBindings.fly.isPressed()){
    System.out.println("FLY TOGGLED");
    player.capabilities.allowFlying = true;
    player.fallDistance = 0F;
    }
    }
    }

    this is what i have. somehow i need to either declare EntityPlayer player; or refer straight to EntityPlayer.capabilities.

    i had

    public class KeyInputHandler {
    EntityPlayer player;
    @SubscribeEvent
    public void onKeyInput(InputEvent.KeyInputEvent event) {
    if(KeyBindings.fly.isPressed()){
    System.out.println("FLY TOGGLED");
    player.capabilities.allowFlying = true;
    player.fallDistance = 0F;
    }
    }
    }

    but it doesnt seem to be working that way.

    i cant do this

    public class KeyInputHandler {
    @SubscribeEvent
    public void onKeyInput(InputEvent.KeyInputEvent event, EntityPlayer player) {
    if(KeyBindings.fly.isPressed()){
    System.out.println("FLY TOGGLED");
    player.capabilities.allowFlying = true;
    player.fallDistance = 0F;
    }
    }
    }

    because you can only have one parameter in a @SubscribeEvent

    i separated them to their own classes, still nothing :/

    FlyMod.java

    package com.theerr0rproductions.fly8;

    import net.minecraftforge.fml.common.FMLCommonHandler;
    import net.minecraftforge.fml.common.Mod;
    import net.minecraftforge.fml.common.Mod.EventHandler;
    import net.minecraftforge.fml.common.event.FMLInitializationEvent;
    import net.minecraftforge.fml.common.event.FMLPreInitializationEvent;
    import net.minecraftforge.fml.common.eventhandler.SubscribeEvent;
    import net.minecraftforge.fml.common.gameevent.PlayerEvent;

    @Mod(modid = FlyMod.MODID, version = FlyMod.VERSION)
    public class FlyMod{
    public static final String MODID = "flymod";
    public static final String VERSION = "0.8";

    @EventHandler
    public void preInit(FMLPreInitializationEvent event) {
    FMLCommonHandler.instance().bus().register(new loggedInEvent());
    System.out.println("Event Handler Initialized");
    FMLCommonHandler.instance().bus().register(new KeyInputHandler());
    KeyBindings.init();
    }

    @EventHandler
    public void init(FMLInitializationEvent event)
    {
    System.out.println("TESTING TESTINGTESTING TESTINGTESTING TESTINGTESTING TESTING");
    }

    public class loggedInEvent{

    }

    @SubscribeEvent
    public void onPlayerLogin(PlayerEvent.PlayerLoggedInEvent event) {
    //NOT WORKING GREERERERERE
    System.out.println("LOGGED INLOGGED INLOGGED INLOGGED INLOGGED INLOGGED INLOGGED INLOGGED INLOGGED INLOGGED INLOGGED INLOGGED INLOGGED IN");
    }
    }

    KeyBindings.java

    public static KeyBinding fly;

    public static void init() {
    fly = new KeyBinding("Fly Toggle", Keyboard.KEY_F, "key.categories.movement");

    ClientRegistry.registerKeyBinding(fly);
    }

    }

    KeyInputHandler.java

    package com.theerr0rproductions.fly8;

    import net.minecraft.client.Minecraft;
    import net.minecraft.entity.player.EntityPlayer;
    import net.minecraftforge.fml.common.eventhandler.SubscribeEvent;
    import net.minecraftforge.fml.common.gameevent.InputEvent;

    public class KeyInputHandler {
    EntityPlayer player;
    @SubscribeEvent
    public void onKeyInput(InputEvent.KeyInputEvent event) {
    if(KeyBindings.fly.isPressed())
    System.out.println("FLY TOGGLED");
    if(!Minecraft.getMinecraft().theWorld.isRemote)
    {
    if(player.capabilities.allowFlying = false){
    player.capabilities.allowFlying = true;
    }else{
    player.capabilities.allowFlying = false;
    }
    player.fallDistance = 0F;
    }

    }
    }
