alexisiop’s Guard Application

1) Username: My username is alexisiop, but please, call me Alexis or Alex.

2) Your age: I turned 12 years old on September 25th and am in the 7th grade. Please don’t underestimate me because of my age. While I may not have been so mature when I first joined, I certainly have grown more mature over the months that I’ve been playing Convicted.

3) How long have you been playing the server? I’ve been playing for roughly 10 months now, having joined near the beginning of the year.

4) Have you read the Server, Prison, and Guard Rules? Yes, of course. I’ve read them many times over the time I’ve been on Convicted, and I sometimes wander to the Rules room to read them when I’m bored.

5) Any experience with the prison genre? Yes. I’m free on 3 servers, Locked Away, Craftera, and of course, Convicted, so I have a lot of experience in many different types of prison environments. I also have briefly ventured to other prison servers, such as OPL, DDTS, and Killion.

6) What is your time zone? My timezone is Pacific Standard Time (-8).

7) Why are you the best choice for guard? There are many reasons why I would be a good guard, here they are.

The first reason that to me seems like the most important one is my experience with guarding. I have been a guard once before, and I know a lot of things in regards to it. I know my way around the guard balconies, and have experience with the commands, /jail player temp #m, /kit potion, /kit guard. I also have experience with the warden’s office, but let’s not talk about that...

I have read the rules and know them by heart, even if I can’t come up with them on the spot, I know what to do in a situation and how to do it. I can be a nice guard, but that doesn’t mean that I give in to begs to be released from jail or arguments about jail times. About the latter, I’ve seen, experienced, and handled several of them, sometimes showing people specific sections in the rules room to make sure they don’t cause a ruckus about the same subject again.

My PvP skills are decent, and I have practiced them by 1v1ing several other members of the community and playing on the Overcast Network PvP servers, as well as a little bit of Kit PvP. I feel like I am well-equipped, even though I will not be using very good gear as a trainee. I have saved up around 3 stacks of opples, as well as many Sharpness 3 and 4 swords, and a few Sharpness 5’s, a 6, and a 7. I have several enchanted bows and materials to make potions of strength and swiftness if I need any (for instance, people troll-fisting and running will not be able to match my speed with a Potion of Swiftness II). I am also a Donor, therefore I will have access to the mines and Siberia Quest if need be.

I’m also quite active, being on right when I get home from school at around 3:30 PM, and only stopping for a quick match of League or homework that only takes an hour or so. I can usually be on for around 3-4 hours on weekdays except Wednesdays, when my schedule is a little packed due to me having a class for 2 hours. On weekends, I can occasionally be on nearly the whole day (9 or 10 AM to 11 PM, excluding eating and other things I need to attend to, for instance my brothers asking me for something). I can also be on on Wednesday mornings from around 8 AM to 9:30 AM due to school starting later - the law will not cease to be enforced while I’m around.

I’m pretty easily accessible, because if I’m not on Minecraft, then I’m either on League of Legends (where you can chat me a message if you need to contact me quick; my username is the same for everywhere) or TeamSpeak (poke me). Even if I’m away, this way I’ll see your message when I come back. You can also PM me on Minecraft Forums (this website you’re currently on), and I’ll see it via email notification.

I’m also friends with fusionnoodle, which is added swag points. She did not tell me to write this. I’ve gotten many other friends on this server as well, including Fire who I owe my gratitude for 2 stacks of opples as well as assorted swords. I love you all! <3

8) Do you understand that nagging Wardens in-game to read your app will result in immediate decline? Yes, and I would never nag anyone, not even a regular guard, or trainee. While I may notify my friends that I have reapplied for guard, I never insist that they read it or respond to it.

9) What is your current prison rank? Do you understand that we will require a screenshot of this when/if you retire from guard? I am currently a Free, and have been since I retired about 3 months ago. Here is the screenshot for proof:




Chilled and angry at the prank, you toss the paper aside and run out of the house and into the dark. You go to sleep and vaguely remember that you still don’t have any candy.

You wake up the next morning and the application is there, waiting, on your bedside table…

4) Why are you a good choice for guard? I don't take sides over people and I don't hold grudges this means I do bad stuff to innocent people (i.e. kill). I know how things work e.g. Jail times and why people must be jailed and that I need to take swords off of people. I am trustworthy and kind so I will offer all help I can to people, I chat with proper grammar so people will understand me, thanks for your time.
