posted a message on My Minecraft Pixel Art
Hello! On my private server I have done pixel art of minecraft items as well as a giant Nyan Cat. I spent a while on them. To achieve darker colors, I placed the colored wool into the wall at certain depths. Note that I used commands to gather the wool and I used World Edit to make the wall.

    Nyan Cat:

Nyan cat, an apple, a creeper, TNT, and a crack from the breaking animation:

The two records, fishing rod, a pig face, flint and steel, an arrow, Steve's face, and a golden pickaxe. ( the companion cube, yellow face, and the diamond sword are not mine)

If anyone has any suggestions for me to make, let me know. :Sheep: :Pig:

To make a server for them to connect to, you can download the official server software here and run it. In the properties file, add the local I.P. address (found by typing "ipconfig" in command prompt- its the IPv4 address) run the software, and your students can connect by typing that number in the box for multiplayer. There are videos on YouTube showing how to make them. Its very easy. To put the map in the server, drag it in and rename it to "world".

Is it always the grass texture, whether you are doing this on dirt, stone, wool, wood, etc?

I'm not sure. I think multiple textures are shown. I don't think it has to do with the terrain its on. There could be different ones. I've noticed the grass one before though. I might test it out some more. :Sheep:

I can replicate this by standing on the block and spamming left+right click... I can see the flashes, never noticed them before. Interesting find.

Yeah. If you spam them, the wire can turn into a big orange or red square sometimes. Tha also happens when breaking them in a line. :Sheep:

I always see this but don't make a big deal out of it. It is usually with repeaters giving off the pumpkin particles.

Notch fixed this in 1.6 i think. The redstone bug isn't that big of a deal, i'm just putting it out there. :smile.gif:

Hello! I've noticed this for a while, but never got around to posting about it. When breaking multiple redstone wires in a line (hitting while walking)on rare occasions textures of blocks appear in the wire when it breaks. I took a video, slowed it down, and found an image of the side texture of a grass block:

Has anyone else seen or noticed this?

To find the .minecraft folder, what I do is open minecraft and on the main menu, go tomods and texture packs and open the folder. you should be able to navigate to the .minecraft folder from there. Thengo tothe saves folder and drag them in. It's pretty simple. :Sheep:

I would try this: Fn + F2 (works with all the other F# keys too)
On my laptop, none of them worked. I couldn't get 3rd person, screenshots or anything. So I tryed it with the Fn key and it worked.
    :iapprove:

    EDIT:
From what I know, these are what the F# keys do in minecraft:
F1- Removes HUD (Heads up display) and your arm/tool.
F2- Screenshot ( open up the .minecraft folder and look for the screenshots folder for your pictures)
F3- Debug mode (shows numbers above mobs)
    F4- Nothing ( i think)
F5- 3rd Person mode (see yourself)
    F6- Nothing ( i think)
    F7- Nothing ( i think)
F8- Gliding camera ( realistic camera; slides when you move the mouse)
    F9- Nothing ( i think)
    F10- Nothing ( i think)
    F11- Fullscreen mode
    F12- Nothing ( i think)
