    Well given the fact that its almost an entirely NEW team working on source material that was handed to them in rough condition.. with input and guidance from one of the previous devs, they really don't have much time to test themselves.

    Unless of course, you want the mod to never surface. Putting it in Beta and having people test it/report on it can be much more helpful and insightful than trying to go it alone. And it can possibly help them finding solutions of what exactly is the problem. Like if several people are crashing at every single dimension portal, they know something with dimension generation is askew. It just makes more sense.

    Your cynicism is neither warranted nor desired. Off with you.

    Edit: Derp. Didn't read all the way. Try making a spawner in the nether and see if the wither skeletons from the spawner in the nether drop them (unless you've done that already). Otherwise it beats the heck out of me.

    Ahh! Okay, that makes sense! So basically you can just make a giant trap for monsters with it.. huh.. never thought about that. Maybe I'll just make the roof really dark and have this chimney up to it, make a bunch of seared glass and laugh maniacally when I see a monster fall into it.

    So was looking at Dev Changelog and saw this: - The Smeltery only attacks mobs if it contains fluid

    Have I been missing something where my Smeltery acts like a Tesla coil or something?!

    I'm running with .871 for now and it works fine. Note I only have DivineRPG, Biomes O Plenty and NEI in my DRPG test build.

    Testing now and going to Dungeons of Arcana! Will let you know what I find!

    Edit: First thing I found - portal spawned on ceiling of Arcana - I'm in creative right now, so nothing a block break couldn't solve but if playing on survival, could be a problem

    Edit 2: Certain weapons seem to have no damage values attached to them (Augite blade for example), again, probably something you already know, but figured I would mention it just in case.

    So I have a question for you guys: I've started adding the still outstanding TC 3 items into TC 4 - the portable hole specifically. I came to a realization however: the portable hole has been in since the days of TC 2 and is my (and some other peoples) favourite item. However with the new wand system it really ought to be a wand focus instead of a separate item. It will need vis to use and making it a focus makes a lot of sense.

    Honestly, I'm torn. What is your opinion?


    One thing that could be done is infusing a wand with properties of the portable hole (seperate item that does nothing by itself, but needs to be combined with a wand). Then, lets say you shift+click with that wand, it creates the portable hole. If you really wanted to get fancy, make it even a seperate key binding, but at that point you may start delving into conflict territory.

    Well that was nice of that fellow to send you some of the code! I'm sure it's grating/frustrating when you have everyone go "FIX DIS NAO" or "I WUNT UPDATE" and literally have no further contribution than that. I'm going to start trying (read: attempt) to get into some of the coding so I can at least do something for you folks that take all this time to make something great for the community!

    Oh Azanor you tease! I saw the update and thought for a fleeting moment that perhaps there was something released for 1.6.2.. only to have have my hopes, dreams, puppies, kittens and rainbows dashed upon and set on fire and left in the taint to become corrupt and now their only purpose is the sole destruction of the world. And soul destruction. That too. Lol

    But on the real, can't wait for your next update, been dying without Thaumcraft in my Minecraft (quite literally at times...)! Been watching all the teasers drooling in excitement!

    Hey mDiyo, thank you for such a wonderful mod, there are so many unique features it just blows me away. And don't get me started on your drawbridges, these things are simply *incredible.*

    However, I am having difficulties with the drying racks not turning the items into jerkey. I've tried every possible thing item. This is also on my dedicated server (forgive me if it doesn't currently work in SMP, I haven't seen anything saying otherwise yet). The mods I have downloaded are:


    Biomes O' Plenty (latest update)
    NEI (latest non-dev update)
    Aether II (latest update)
    MoCreatures (latest update)
    Natura (latest update)
    Tconstruct 1.4.5.1
    IC2 (latest update)
    Archimedes Ships (latest update)
    Crossbow Mod 2 (latest update)


    And of course, Forge version .871 (latest as of this morning).

    I tried deleting the config to no avail, and just stayed in the same chunk as the items (after placing brand new drying racks/items).

    Thanks again for all you've done. Its incredible the amount of effort you've put into this mod. This is a mod I consider necessary for my server, and would not be caught dead without!

    Thanks again for you folks updating this. Its a shame you picked it up in not too great of condition and with a lot of baggage attached.

    One question though... since technically Xolova started this thread, do you have the ability to edit it? Or are you going to have to start a an entire new thread with future releases?

    Actually another question while I'm thinking about it, I know there is some debate somewhere in this gigantic mess, but are you able to continue with the mod without Xolova claiming its his IP or whatever? Will that be something you guys may have to accommodate? Or has he given his blessing?

    Yeah, in about the ten months I've been following this mod (from early December last year) it seemed like Xolova liked to jump the gun and tell everyone "Mod releasing in a day." Almost right after Hologuard said it would be awhile. Don't think he quite understood the amount of work/personal life balance of the devs...

    I'm glad you guys picked up on the mod, just please don't give any ETAs that you can't meet. The DRPG community has been dealing with those since I've started following it, probably longer. Take your time, make announcements of its release when you've released it.
