Okay guys, my friends and I are hosting a server for 2Fort and we're currently working on it to make it playable. We're also adding minor details to the server to make it look like the original 2Fort.
There are a few texture packs but this one looks best for 2Fort- http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/115061-16x-mc125-coterie-craft-v26-t-884-updated-4142012-redstone-lamps-sandstone-cobble-and-moar/
Guys, don't expect the server to be up 24/7. So, it will be on whenever it will be. Mainly on weekends. I'm trying to revive this project, so here is the IP: 68.227.210.123

My friend can host a server if you want. If you have a Skype, it would be much easier to communicate with each other to build this.

posted a message on What Should Be Added?
In the recent patches and updates, Notch added the hunger meter to add some difficulty to the gameplay of Minecraft. But personally, I see a lot of people not having not much difficulty with this new edition to Minecraft. Since Minecraft is mostly about survival, there should be more things added to Minecraft that can make things a bit more difficult and more realistic. There should be a thirst and sleep meter along with the hunger meter to survive in Minecraft.
Thirst is a somewhat simple concept. You will slowly lose health as you have a very low thirst meter like the hunger meter. To replenish the thirst meter, you would need to drink water. Drinking a bucket of water is actually a way to replenish this bar if you are far from a water source. You should be able to also drink directly from a water source like a body of water or you will automatically replenish this thirst meter in the rain. This forces the player to think more about survival as people are always able to build mob grinders to obtain food from mobs like pigs and chickens. Things that you will able to drink from are bottles of water, buckets of water, cauldrons of water, rain itself, and a body of water like the ocean or a waterfall.
The sleep meter is a meter that requires the player to use the bed oftenly. People usually only use the bed just to get through the night so they do not have to deal with the hostile mobs that spawn in the dark. These mobs are just an annoyance to builders and a threat to warriors. On an empty sleep meter, you would be unable to sprint due to the lack of energy and sleep. In the real world, I doubt that a person can actually sprint properly if they were very sleepy. To replenish this meter, you would need to use the bed every time at night.
The icon for the thirst meter would consist of ten, blue water droplets much like the hunger meter which consists of ten chicken legs. The icon for the sleep meter would consist of ten, white Z's. Both of these meters would deplete at a faster rate when sprinting just like the hunger bar would decrease more quickly with the use of sprinting. To counteract these annoying effects of these new concepts, there would be some items or potions that would help. But I will leave that to an open idea to other people who would be able to supply ideas for items to stop these annoyances. This is all just my opinion on what should be added into the game to add more difficulty into it. I am sorry if I have wasted your time or have not provided any real work. This is just my opinion and I will be glad if anyone thinks that something should be added into the game.

Lol yeah, i couldnt get it to world edit in correctly so it is as low as i could get it to go without ruining it. The minecart track takes you to red base, and blue base is to the left.

I know, I installed TooManyItems and Single Player Commands for other purposes but I usually got diamond armor and swords with bows to make sure the mobs don't even get close to me.

Thanks man, it means a lot to me.

I was just confused when the map was actually a floating chunk of land, not part of the map itself. So I saw monsters spawning under the map.

I'm going to be adding details and probably using a different texturepack that would fit the theme of TF2. The map feels empty without a lot of people or detailed items like chests for crates etc.

Haven't been able to do anything in a while. Minecraft is having some problems. Also my 1 and 2 year old niece and nephew are at my house, so things are going very slow with the Autumn.

Take your time, you don't need to rush. We just want good quality I guess.

Major props, hope santa comes to Minecraft. Notch should add holiday things, like firecrackers for chinese new year, santa for christmas, leprechauns for Saint Patrick's day, bunnies for Easter, etc.

You should use another texture pack made to look like TF2, there should be one around here!

There are some, but unfortunately, they're outdated and are not frequently updated to the updates made to Minecraft.
