I also want to mention that we have a very large Apiary out in front of our castle. I know that not everyone has mods, but I love the forestry mod, the bees have been a lot of fun, learning how to get certain strains is what has interested me the most. Here is a picture of our Royal Apiary.

Our Castle on our server has a couple of different farms. One is a massive underground tree farm, it houses Birch, Pine, Maple, and Rubber trees (mod tree). The first set of pics is of our first farm, a greenhouse that was built to keep us going while we built the castle, or to get us started building the castle. The second set of pics is the large underground farm, this keeps our chests full in case of emergencies. We use Jack-O-Laterns in these areas because they are good light and are cheap.

All this is legit and is usesd constantly, especially the rubber trees for industrial craft. The greenhouse is mainly used to feed the animals now, tons of chickens and cows and pigs. There is also a colored sheep farm under ground that houses every color, about 14 sheep for each color.

Okay, I assume you want screenshots. This is Castle Ruefels in the land of Two Rivers on our server. It is all legit, and is also still under heavy construction. We do have some mods that over time have made it a little easier to aquire this much building material, but we had to clear all the land, and gather all the material either way.
If you have any questions or want more pics of detailed stuff just let me know. I have some more pics of buildings from our old server if you are interested.

Okay well a lot of new construction has been underway so I thought I would give you guys some screenshots. Our server is still under construction as a whole, but we now have mods and bukkit combined successfully, so we are getting the best of both worlds.

Everything here is legit. My favorite new project is the Palace expansion, it crosses over one leg of the two rivers, kinda of like a big bridge only it is actually part of the Palace. The other big part is the reactor room, we only have one breeder reactor right now, but we plan to build a few more high powered reactors and sell power to the residents if they so choose. Well here are the pics.

Oh, as for the Jack-O-Laterns, as I said, they are cheap, and I only use them underground for the utility rooms, eventually we will porbably change them out, but for now they work, and being that this is legit, it takes a while to build and is very expensive.

I know that not all parents are amazing from the start, but some don't even try to teach their kid and expect everyone around them to do it for them. (tough luck in today's society). In fact, I've met some teachers whom taught me when I was younger, and they wonder if they are teachers of hundreds of kids or parents of hundreds of kids.

I wasn't trying to blame kids only, I'm going to completely agree with you that it starts at the parents level. Sometimes though being a good parent is extremely difficult due to what is out there, which has really always been true.

Some examples, we didn't let our kids see R rated movies until they were like 15, they played kids games growing up, and they have plenty of chores. They bring home a bad report card and it is adios to the TV, computer, phone you name it it is gone until I see fit to give it back, or they improve to where they should be. You think about talking back to me or the mommy unit and I will knock you into the next world. I'm sure that sounds terrible to most people here, but we did this through their younger years, now they are almost complete adults and things are a lot more lax, but they have proven to their parents that they can handle what we dish out. You can ask them if you want they are on the forums also, not as much but they are here.

Anyway, I'm agreeing with most of what you said, except I wouldn't expose my children to those things that early, but it is my choice, my children.

The thing I always found hard in my 20 years of service is why when an American does something like this we have to get our proverbial panties in a wad, but say our soldiers dead bodies are dragged through the streets in some God forsaken land, or say the enemy decapitates our soldiers and innocent people on camera for the whole world to see, and you want to what, take them to court for doing this to us, I mean what do you want our soldiers to do? The enemies we have faced in the last 3 decades have no moral respect for you or anyone else on this planet, they will do anything to accomplish their ends, but you want to handcuff ours, to make them a kinder gentler killing force. I'm not sure what your reading, but the red baron story is just so neat, but it is one story, how about all the other disrespect of enemies in all the other actions in the world? That crap is a fairy tale, when you are in the middle of it there is no telling what your gonna do, until you've been there please do not attempt to venture a guess, or to dictate to the very souls that fight for you how they should do it.

That said, that is not the smartest thing they could've done, I'm not saying what they did is okay either. What I'm saying is I can see how and why they would do it very easily, and it is a military matter, not a civilian matter period. If you would like to get involved in it then you should join and become a lawyer, then you can decide how terrible these guys are.

I don't remember who said it but someone here said we shouldn't hate our enemies? I mean what the hell kind of la la land do you people live in? I'm aware that we should love our enemies, but when they carry AK's I will love them when they are dead thank you, and I'm just not gonna do it kindly, not in anyone's nature to do so either. Babble all you want about how you are peace loving, but when you face the end of someone else s rifle barrel you just might change your mind, because believe it or not, not everyone in the world is like you, there are actually bad people who will blow you up because you are different, nothing else.

This is all just my humble opinion built on years of experience, despite the way you feel about it, I would go out and fight all over again for any of you who are citizens of the US, just so you can continue to say things you want to say or think need to be said.

One last thing, this sort of thing has been happening forever, just that now we have this lovely media that brings it all home, so now the people we protect do not want us to protect them the way we always have, they want to add rules to the way it is done, rules that the enemy will not or does not follow.

This is my favorite all time little known science fact:

Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO) is a colorless and odorless chemical compound, also referred to by some as Dihydrogen Oxide, Hydrogen Hydroxide, Hydronium Hydroxide, or simply Hydric acid. Its basis is the highly reactive hydroxyl radical, a species shown to mutate DNA, denature proteins, disrupt cell membranes, and chemically alter critical neurotransmitters. The atomic components of DHMO are found in a number of caustic, explosive and poisonous compounds such as Sulfuric Acid, Nitroglycerine and Ethyl Alcohol.

Although the U.S. Government and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) do not classify Dihydrogen Monoxide as a toxic or carcinogenic substance (as it does with better known chemicals such as hydrochloric acid and benzene), DHMO is a constituent of many known toxic substances, diseases and disease-causing agents, environmental hazards and can even be lethal to humans in quantities as small as a thimbleful.

Research conducted by award-winning U.S. scientist Nathan Zohner concluded that roughly 86 percent of the population supports a ban on dihydrogen monoxide. Although his results are preliminary, Zohner believes people need to pay closer attention to the information presented to them regarding Dihydrogen Monoxide. He adds that if more people knew the truth about DHMO then studies like the one he conducted would not be necessary.

A similar study conducted by U.S. researchers Patrick K. McCluskey and Matthew Kulick also found that nearly 90 percent of the citizens participating in their study were willing to sign a petition to support an outright ban on the use of Dihydrogen Monoxide in the United States.

Each year, Dihydrogen Monoxide is a known causative component in many thousands of deaths and is a major contributor to millions upon millions of dollars in damage to property and the environment. Some of the known perils of Dihydrogen Monoxide are:


Death due to accidental inhalation of DHMO, even in small quantities.
Prolonged exposure to solid DHMO causes severe tissue damage.
Excessive ingestion produces a number of unpleasant though not typically life-threatening side-effects.
DHMO is a major component of acid rain.
Gaseous DHMO can cause severe burns.
Contributes to soil erosion.
Leads to corrosion and oxidation of many metals.
Contamination of electrical systems often causes short-circuits.
Exposure decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes.
Found in biopsies of pre-cancerous tumors and lesions.
Given to vicious dogs involved in recent deadly attacks.
Often associated with killer cyclones in the U.S. Midwest and elsewhere, and in hurricanes including deadly storms in Florida, New Orleans and other areas of the southeastern U.S.
Thermal variations in DHMO are a suspected contributor to the El Nino weather effect.

A recent stunning revelation is that in every single instance of violence in our country's schools, including infamous shootings in high schools in Denver and Arkansas, Dihydrogen Monoxide was involved. In fact, DHMO is often very available to students of all ages within the assumed safe confines of school buildings. None of the school administrators with which we spoke could say for certain how much of the substance is in use within their very hallways.

I will one up all of you, I own MMCI, I build custom pc's and server systems, I'm not a younger person as someone said before, lol. I have been playing with comps since 1978. I'm gonna tell you your best bet all around is 700-750 watt, I'm leaning toward the 750 because it gives you a lot more wiggle room for later.

This is what I'm running in a similar system except I have more HDs, COOLER MASTER GX Series RS750-ACAAE3-US 750W ATX12V v2.31 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply.

You will never, I say never waste money on a solid power supply because it is more power then you need, one day you will want the extra power, it is really about economics, what your pocket book can handle. I will agree with some here, do not skimp on the PS, I can show you some PC's that have actually caught on fire because of cheap $20 PSs. The other thing, brand is just your opinion, some are a little better than others, but there is not much difference between two PSs that are rated the same that cost about the same. I'm saying, if you like antec, OCZ, Cooler Master, none of that matters, just get the one that fits your needs.

Almost all of what your saying is true, but if you have a shadow caused by say obsidian above the wart, the wart will not stay if will pop up. I'm going to guess this is a bug also, but never had actual confirmation, just know that light does not affect the growth rate or anything like that, but if it is at it's lowest point, the wart will pop up, give it a try.

I have a feeling you are a novice lifter, trying to pass as experienced. Don't throw your information at people if you don't actually know what you're talking about. 3-4 different machines? As in what, legs chest and arms? or three different leg machines on one day. If 10 burns, you should most definitely not decrease the weight, 10 is around the maximum you should do for one set unless its a warm up.

If you are trying to get ripped, it is a totally different regimen, you need less weight with a lot of reps per set. This will define your muscles, you also need to work your diet hard, the diet is going to do more for you than the actual work out. You will be starving, because you don't really want more than 1500 cal. a day if you can help it.

That's actually a very common misconception, low weight high reps has nothing to do with you becoming more tone. The only thing it really does is add stamina to your overall fitness, which can be important, especially if you normally do high weight and ~ 6 reps. You will get the same level of muscle tone from either style of working out, but low reps has the added bonus of actually making you stronger, while at high reps/low weight you will stay at the same weight until you push yourself.

Other than that I agree with most of what you say. Cut out simple carbs, add in complex carbs (steel cut oats is a great example) increase the protein intake (if nothing else but to recover faster, a good protein shake will lower the rest time you need). Cardio is actually just as important for getting "tone" as lifting as most lifters problem is not that they have no muscle, but that they have a layer of fat covering the muscle, even if you don't seem fat. This could be where the high reps idea took footing, because high reps adds a little cardio to your workout that many lifters just ignore.

Like he said above me, 3 days a week would be a good starting number for a beginner, and the chest/shoulders, back/arms, legs is a good combo. Since you're in gym class I'm assuming you have 5 days to work, with one of them likely being strictly for cardio? You can split the shoulders from back then and focus on that as one day. Break up some of the back workouts and move them to your shoulder workout as well so it would be chest, shoulders, back/arms, legs, and cardio.

If you really are serious about lifting, you may want to invest in some supplements. Whey and casein are great, and both are important as far as protein supplements go. You could take whey before/after a workout and casein before bed/with breakfast. The main difference is it only takes whey ~ 1 hour to digest and hit the bloodstream, important for right after a workout. Casein gelatinizes in the stomach and takes 4-6 hours to digest and enter the blood stream. Great for fueling you early in the day, or while you are sleeping.

Other supplements like creatine do work, but are less necessary. Creatine will give you short, immediate gains, but nothing beyond the first 2-3 weeks and you will still need to keep taking it for the benefit. I can't speak on pre-workouts like jack3d, as I've never tried them. One of my buddies uses them and likes them, so do your own research if you are interested.


All in all though, you just need to stick with it. Keep at it and you will see improvements even if you don't think you are achieving anything. The biggest thing is not to be discouraged by others in the class. I remember when I was in high school and I saw people benching 135, and I could only do 95, I was embarrassed to even try to lift. Now 135 isn't even a warm up and I start at 225 and work up from there. Its a matter of persistence. Listen to your instructors, they likely know a good deal about what they are talking about. Never focus on one muscle group to much (I.E. biceps and nothing else) I've gotta run so I'm going to cut this off here, but I'll check back later. Good luck!

No, gap is ok. I wouldn't use diamond at all if it were only two-three times as durable as iron. There are loads of iron everywhere below ~y60 while diamond is pretty rare and while branch mining solves the problem, it still takes quite much time to get higher amounts of diamonds. 251 uses is okay, it's four stacks of blocks. Just take four iron picks and your inventory will be full before last one breaks (well, if you carry other vital items like sword, bow, food, torches...). You'll use up 12 iron and get stack or two.

Join a random server and meet new people. Do something you've never done before in game. I usually take a break for a few weeks so the game seems refreshing when I get back.

I think a nice way to fill the gap would be to somehow introduce steel into the mix. It'd be made out of iron, so iron wouldn't become obsolete, and it would provide a stepping stone between iron and diamond.

I'd say only copper could be added where iron sits now, at 251 uses, iron jacks up to 650 uses, and copper can also be used as a secondary redstone that doesn't connect to redstone. That way, you can have two circuits right next to one another without them marrying. It would condense a lot of current redstone patterns that way, and provide an additional tier in tools.

Copper is the only one I would get behind, any others would be too much for the generation (let's face it, iron is EVERYWHERE, it doesn't need 3 other pals crowding up the generation code) and still have use other than for tools, so it doesn't get phased out.

So, only copper, any others would be over-doing it. I do agree the 1250+ gap between tool uses should be narrower, it would allow diamonds to not be as inflated in value, which could help some multiplayer servers quite a bit.

EDIT: OR! They could give gold a use other than just being fast, but then goes the only possible in-game currency.

1. Yes, bullying is a joke. Its highly over exaggerated and its taken seriously because apparently children born into this era dont know how to deal with some brat who takes pleasure from making people feel weak from insults that shouldnt affect people.

2. Yes, the point of school is to learn. Obviously you lack social skills if you cant deal with a " bully " without commiting suicide.

3. You can ask to get your seat moved if you have a good reason, such as the fact you cant concentrate with the brat in your ear. Or you are being " bullied "

I feel that I must respond to this with a story.

Back in my senior year in high school we had all just recently transferred to a new school building. The new building was at least three times bigger than the old one. Because of this the district decided to expand its borders. This included an area that was infested with gang activity. This, naturally, brought the gang activity inside the school. There were more fights the first three months of that year than the five years prior. Somehow the school administration, either through desperate denial or plain stupidity, decided that the fights were the result of bullying; so they brought in this guest speaker for a mandatory assembly.

This guy spent the entire time attempting to make the bullies feel guilty. His whole speech was about the horrors of bullying and how awful it makes people feel. He even went as far as to ask for kids from the audience to tell about their harrowing experiences with bullying. One kid, who I will forever think of as Llama Boy (because that was the name that the bullies gave him and it is more memorable than his actual name, plus it was the first time I had ever seen him), came up and gave a tearful speech about how he was near suicide because of the teasing he received about him owning llamas. As we were leaving the gym that poor kid was beating so badly they had to take him to the hospital.

Now, anyone who has even skimmed a psychology book will know why that happened. Bullies do what they do because they feel bad about themselves. They put others down to raise themselves up, they most likely do this because it is what their parents do to them. If you focus your entire presentation on making the bullies feel bad then the only thing that CAN happen is more bullying.

Instead of focusing on the bullies how about we focus on the bullied? How about we teach them how to deal with it. I was bullied mercilessly as a child up until my freshman year. IT wasn't until them that I figured out, with the help of a psychology class that I took for college credit, what I have stated above. Once I learned that, bullies became sad rather then scary. If we teach kids how to deal with bullies we would have a lot less suicide and a lot less school shootings. Bullies are everywhere, not just in school and if you are not prepared to deal with them then life will never get better.
