Lol, I dont care that he's responding to me, its the way he's resonding to me, Categorizing me as "arrogant" is pretty childish. I mean look at your response, you object to what i have to say, but you didnt sit there typing a whole paragraph trying to act all high and mighty. Honestly i would of never resonded to either of them if it wasnt for how they came at me.
I made a measly 4 posts that werent even 2 sentences long, then they try and flame me typing all this nonesense about how i should be thankful and what not, as if thinking that its taking so long is so bad. I guess it doesnt matter what i type since apparently thinking 1.3 is taking to long is frowned upon in this establishment.
A 'measly four posts that weren't even two sentences' were all you needed to give out your opinion >_> Guess what: We're allowed to judge you for your opinion, sweety ^3^ So deal with it.
Don't complain about someone's posts being 'too long' either, when they post good stuff. Am I allowed to ***** about you just saying something completely unneeded, contrived and f**king stupid like 'Jeb's taking a vacation, sigh . . . . lol I guess you're able to when you have 25 million customers waiting' [Paraphrasing somewhat]. Give a proper reason for your complaints or concede all rights to bitching about anything, please :3
I don't know why I should try and say anything to defend Mojang's decision since there's nothing to defend. Spending an extra two/three weeks to make the game better is honestly the best thing you could hope for. Or have 1.3 NAOW BECAUSE I WANT IT NAOW then have a bug fix update a week later only for people to complain 'BUT WHY NOT JUST WAIT TO RELEASE 1.3 NAOW ;~;'. Nope. They're doing a perfectly normal respectable, reasonable thing. Nothing is wrong with it.
Maybe I should have said at the start of the post that if you're not going to sugar-coat your words, neither will I. Well I guess I got my point across anyway ^^ I don't see the point in having a civil conversation with an uncivil person. I'm not a role-model for anything thus I have no issues with being rude to people who are uncivil.
TL;DR: Don't complain until you know how to debate or even KNOW what you're on about please, sweety pie ^3^
I think you have a somewhat odd view on what Snaphots are. They're simply a view at where Mojang is currently in terms of coding, so people can beta-test the future update.
They're weekly because that's a solid time-frame for Mojang to get lots of community input about things.
The updates come when major things they want done are done and when there aren't any incredibly major bugs or anything. Besides, the 'set requirement' for 1.3 isn't done yet. They want to release 1.3 when the ssp-smp merge is completed and stabilized, and god knows how long that will take.
If you're being judgmental of others based entirely on what you take them at face value, you will never be a mature person. Being mature is not about knowledge or strength or abilities, it's about how you handle those things and how you project yourself and act towards others.
And no, you're not a nice person if you're considering others to be 'below' you. At least, I would never call you 'nice' in a million years if you kept that attitude. If you literally call other people 'lesser', then how much 'higher' than them are you? A rat can call a tiger stupid, but the tiger will still eat the rat, so to say.
I've recently gotten out of the phase of thinking of others as stupid or lesser, because I realized that I wasn't special. I realized that I was always a person that nobody wanted to approach because I never wanted people to, and because I was always quiet and withdrawn. I realized that various factors of my life mean s**t all considering that you don't give out your life story to do anything in life. And of course I realized that people aren't just 'mindless drones working for the man', but they're like me, living for their life.
So yeah, basically in short you sound like an uneducated, immature, horrible person. Of course, that's what i've gained from what you've given us information-wise. I have no clue how you act IRL. It just doesn't feel like you let people 'explain' themselves to you. Not that they should, though . . . >_>
Ahahaha wow this is the prime example of why you should always be prepared for the worst when dealing with unstable test builds of a future update intended for beta-testing and bug-spotting.
FOR ALL THOSE IDIOTS COMPLAINING ABOUT LAG GET A BETTER COMPUTER JAB CAN NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!
Yes he can actually.
Most of the lag is caused by how horribly the game is coded. Which is technically a fault of the developers, although I can easily see why they never optimized it.
The game was never actually optimized at all, it was just code layered on code layered on code. There's still an issue of junk code sitting there doing nothing except using resources.
And the game works from a small part of your computer, and the client does a big amount of work. This strain makes lag, basically. I guess that's a good way to explain it. Thus one of the needs for the ssp-smp merge to let the server handle big tough calculations and stuff and let the client do the rest.
Although of course the 'quality' of your computer does play into it. I won't argue against that. But you're wrong in saying that Jeb can't at least reduce lag by a fair bit.
I believe that the merit of trading in Minecraft would more be about, as said, trading excess/infinite materials for rarer, non-renewable ones. I think that chances are, most blocks/items will be buyable via trading, but the prices will obviously vary, so it's sorta . . . yeah, a slightly odd process of using lots of lesser things to get some bigger things.
Oh and this means that you can live exclusively above ground and still get ores and such.
Also, my god if this means that you can finally get bones/string on Peaceful . . . >_< I'VE WAITED SO LONG ;_;
The survival of a species relies on males and females producing offspring.
Where does homosexuality fit into that?
That's my main argument.
It is obviously some mutation of what is expected. I guess you could say this offshoot could be considered "normal" if the occurrence is high enough.
You could even put bisexuality in a separate category, because it does entail the possibility of reproduction.
In the case of black swans [At the very least], the babies will be protected by male-male couples. And not many people will want to try and attack the kids if there's two male swans guarding the kids. Especially when the males aren't taking care of the mother, the father is.
So in some cases at least, the homosexual couples protect the offspring of the straight people, thus keeping a species alive. And keep in mind that if you think of a situation where there are two sons, both have 'the gay gene' [I hate saying that, but for arguments sake] but only one is gay and the other is not. The straight one has kids, and the kids have this 'gay gene'. And the father takes care of the mother and the gay one and his partner take care of the kids until the mother and father are able to.
So yeah . . . homosexuality can help save a species, ironically. Of course, this doesn't really HAPPEN in humans since there aren't actual predators out there to kill the babies. But the 'passing on the gay gene' still happens, so to say.
TL;DR: I hate to be mean, but you're wrong. Homosexuality is 'natural' since it occurs in nature and it can help keep a species alive. So it fits into it all in that way ^-^
Well don't I just feel like a ****ing outcast for barely even remembering the previous terrain generation . . . . *sigh*
I have fond memories of my first worlds in Minecraft, even though my memories bad.
I remember my first creeper encounter.
I remember my first mining expedition.
I remember my first Nether visit.
I remember making a cabin in a snowy plains made just out of dark wood logs.
The old terrain was pretty, sure, but I never got emotionally attached to it. I can agree that the current terrain generation feels rather 'flat' since mountains don't really spawn anymore, although to be fair mountains were a big inconvenience to me since I only build on flat areas, and mountains just existed to block my line of sight, to be honest.
I will say that for pure visuals, the old terrain generation was very good, but for practicality I prefer the new one. And the Large Biomes world type option is just so amazing <3 F yeah, beaches looking better than they ever have!
Maybe it's because my memory is very bad and selective so I only remember specifically what I build and important things I did . . . I just don't really feel incredible nostalgia for how the terrain was in 1.7.3 and back . . . not to say it was bad, I just don't think it's anything worth crying over.
I really do feel that a lot of people should just use McNostalgia and just be happy playing on the old updates.
We won't really be able to know if it's gonna happen or not until it actually happens in which case you don't really have time to do anything other than go die >->
And it still annoys me that nobody understands that the whole Mayan Calendar thing is exactly the same as, hypothetically if the Mayans still existed, then saying 'Their calendar ends on December 31st! THAT MUST BE THE END OF THE WORLD! D:'.

The ssp-smp merge is completely Mojang. Microsoft probably doesn't care about Minecraft aside from it being a good source of money.
Microsoft wouldn't be able to influence Mojang working on the PC version at all, they would only have rights over the Xbox version.
TL;DR: Tin-foil hat thread ^^
