    It would still be useful to light up caves just to see a tag on mobs, that's what I used it for anyways. So if you could release the mod as such, I would still use it. =]

    Fires on the overworld caused by Lightning strikes can not be put out by hitting them. You must place a block on them to put them out. Kind of annoying to have your tree farm or house burn down because of this.

    The tops and bottom of wooden doors sometimes have the opposite animations.

    Villagers (especially) and other mobs glitch into floors.

    Paintings and destroyed blocks stick in vertical walls.

    Entities inside mob spawners spin very very fast.

    Will post other bugs as I encounter them...

    Feedback about NOCHYS... Spoilers contained there in, you have been warned!



    I played the map for a few hours now. The scripted death part is quite interesting actually, it's a cool start to the real map. I wasted quite a bit of time just wandering around trying to figure out what to do before entering that area. I survived the TNT explosion only to die at the fangs of a hundred baby spiders, lol. I still wonder what was in the chest...

    Anyways, into the map proper I started exploring a bit in the endstone/cobweb, and like most people I guess I chose the right hand path at first until I ran into that nest of baby spiders and zombiez... Death #2 ala baby spiders again, damn things. I was able to retrieve my items and run the hell out of there barely with a half heart left, but I did lose my bow down that damn hole. So after a bit of thinking... I decided to try some OOG strat... back and to the left I went. Ah that was much easier and I found a way down, after Death #3 to a damn skeleton while being stuck in a web. ARGH!

    I made my way down to the base of the tower, interesting little statue rooms in there, but not sure what they are supposed to represent... but nice touch. I then proceeded to explore around the base a bit... OMG I hate cave spiders... I hate them with a passion, I hate them I hate them I hate them I hate them! So anyways after dying a few times because of the damn little shits I found my way to the landing pad. Ok... so I have a pretty good computer (3.8ghz, 8gb ram, windows 7 x64, 64 bit java, nvidia gtx 580, 4 gigs allocated to MC) and those clocked lights create MEGA LAG. I hope you disable that in the final release of the map, it took me quite a while to disable that with all the damn mobs spawning in there, and creepers blowing stuff up.

    Continuing... I spent a good couple of hours exploring the base and gathering supplies, and dying, and running out of torches and regathering them after exploring... and dying over and over to cave spiders. (Did I mention how much I hate cave spiders yet?) I finally got what I figured was enough stuff together to start exploring below and behind the entry tower.

    So I tried the back and to left again... WRONG. OMG cave spider/zombie madness back through that blue piston door... so I figured like it was up above and just decided not to try and explore that hell hole of a room. Back the other way I went. I made it through the little library area, and down the long stairs. Then encountered ANOTHER room with a million baby spiders, webs and zombies ARGHARGHARGH. I tried to make it into this room for about an hour and a half and finally just gave up, there is just way to many mobs in there to even run and place torches, it's nearly instant death every time.

    I explored around a bit in this underground area thinking that there must be another way to go... but I could not find one. So at this point I have given up on the map, I don't know which way to go... either baby spider+zombie hell #1 or #2... and either way there is just too many mobs to deal with, with the limited supplies at hand. I have lost track of how many times I died now... somewhere between 50 and 100.

    Congratulations Vechs, the map is actually very interesting design wise, but I think you have created an impossible to complete one. At least on my computer and with how fast the mobs spawn. I have watched other people play your maps and noticed that they don't seem to get as many spawns as I do... so I wonder about that, maybe I should make a little video clip? Dunno...

    Anyways, I tested it to the best of my abilities, I'm an not the best CTM player, but I have completed a few of your maps, including Legendary (30 deaths or so).

    Cheers, and looking forward to the more linear maps.

    Vechs, do you do anything special to increase the hostile mob limit beyond 92 or so? I've seen up to 200+ entities in your maps. Without being near any spawners. Is it just the lack of animals which allows this or what?

    Ok so I tried Vinyl Fantasy II, can't say I like it much. Honestly you should think a bit more about difficulty curve, and what could make the map fun to play instead of just absolutely frustrating. Granted I'm not the best player on CTM maps, but the difficulty curve seems a bit steep to me even in the first area.

    Ghast spawners, silverfish encased skellie spawners, falls of death, all in the first area alone? (I saw more of the same while scouting the 2nd area) I understand that the map should be challenging, but that kind of thing makes the map just frustrating and will make players just not want to play it at all, me included.
    I really like the premise of the maps, and I do enjoy CTM maps, and I don't mind dying a bunch of times, but you've gone a bit overboard here I think. Why not add some player detection TNT bombs and lava walls in the same area to make it just about impossible?
    :P

    The first couple of records shouldn't be too difficult to get, so as to draw the player in, and then steadily increase the difficulty in each area. That's just simple game design, might wanna read up on it a bit.

    It's not all negative, your designs are different than other maps I've played, and they are very epic and quite nice looking. Kudos for that, definitely noteworthy and maybe I will try again in your next map.

    Can't say I will finish this map, but I gave it a good try.

    Finished GiftWarped last night, first map I didn't die on at least once and it feels good. The Red Wool was kind of evil O_o, thanks for an entertaining map Vechs, even though it was toooo easy for the first few wools. You however made up for it in the nether, even though the towers were copy/paste, I got lost quite a number of times trying to find my way back to the portal.

    Now, to go back and finish Legendary...

    My 2nd video, it's how to build a cobblestone factory.

    I use this factory in the nether and the end to make resources without having to travel back and forth to the overworld.

    It's fairly easy to build if you have any experience with redstone contraptions. It is rather resource intensive, and was designed to be used after you've established yourself fairly well in your world.

    I hope you find it as useful as I do.
