    Great mod, and one I don't play without now.

    May I suggest battle rifles, such as the M14 or M1 Garand? Specifically something semiautomatic that hits a little harder than an assault rifle and uses a larger round. The SVD is a great example but from what I've seen American guns are lacking in this department, and I like the ACOG too much to go Russian.

    EDIT: Sorry, I should've done a bit more homework: the Mk 11 falls into this category nicely. I still wish to request some sort of M1/M1A though.

    Back to business. I recently redownloaded Modloader and can confirm that it doesn't work: Minecraft freezes at the Mojang page for me.

    Yes, I deleted META-INF.
    Yes, I'm using Modloader for 1.0.
    Yes, I'm using a fresh jar.
    No, there are NO old mods/configs/anything.
    No, I cannot copypasta a log. I did not get an error, it just froze. No error, no modloader.txt.
    No, I'm not using a Mac.
    Yes, I've done this before. Hell, I've done this before for 1.0. For some reason somewhere along the line a new download will not work.

    Behold, FACTS!

    1. I would like to know where that fancy chart came from. I can photoshop quite a bit of crap myself.

    2. The only fossils found of any spinosaurus are fragments of skull and random vertebrae. The methods used to estimate size in ANY of the published descriptions are at best educated guesses based on the length ratios of other animals. The latest and greatest estimates a much shorter spinosaurus, but with greater mass.

    Basically just alt-click your background; click properties. Click settings, then advanced. Go to "Troubleshoot," then crank your hardware acceleration down.

    It worked for me.

    I'm afraid I don't understand half of what you're trying to say.
    1. I think you mean "pterosaur," not "pterodactyl." Pterosaurs are a scientific order of extinct reptiles, where as pterodactyls are a specific genus of said order.

    2. If there is a "species name" then there is a corresponding organism. The scientific community doesn't bother naming nonexistent organisms. As a matter of fact, you have described said species, then denied its existence. I believe you've mixed up your vocabulary; see object 1.

    3. While I do not doubt that attempting to ride any species would be nearly impossible, there were many larger species, as stated in a post above. Once again, this misunderstanding may be linked to your possible misuse of pterodactyl. However, at this point I am extremely confused as to what exactly you mean; see object 2.

    As a side note, bats are NOT related to pterosaurs, but are in fact mammals. Their ability to fly is a nifty thing called convergent evolution.

    Minecraft.jar is located in the bin folder of the .minecraft folder.
    For the resources, extract the contents and merge it with the resources folder, again in the .minecraft folder.

    *EDIT* Unless you're installing modloader and co. you shouldn't be messing with the .jar file at all. Place the mod_fossil.zip file in the mods folder, within the .minecraft folder. If the mods folder doesn't exist then make one.

    Very good point.

    When using ID Resolver to fix Block ID issues, be sure to manually change the block IDs in the proper configs. I don't understand the issue entirely, but ID Resolver leaves a few untied ends, which only appear after trying to craft/place blocks with conflicting IDs. This lets you run Minecraft, but if you try to place a crafted block with an ID issue the game freezes.

    Nevermind, it was a Block ID error and a stupid mistake on my part. Using ID Resolver does not fix all problems, it seems; manually changing the config files fixed it perfectly. Sorry about that.

    I've found an interesting incompatibility, and I'm hoping someone can help. When using the fossil mod in conjunction with Fancypack my game freezes whenever I try to place a table. Only tables, too; I can place other objects like walls and chairs. Is there any way to fix this, or must I choose between mods?

    Oh, to specify, I mean the Fossil/Archeology mod.

    This is an absolutely amazing mod, but I'm having an issue with it.

    Using this and Fancypack if I try to place a table from the aforementioned mod my game freezes, then black-screens. This only happens with tables, everything else seems to work fine, and your mod is unharmed.

    Any ideas?
