    Nomadic Survival would be an alternative mode where you would need to keep moving in order to survive. Similar to how the "hardcore" mode will be implemented in the future or difficulties.

    How it works- Before you generate a world, you would be given several options. Let's say hardcore was already implemented so there would be 3 options. Normal, Hardcore, and Nomad.

    Features of Nomad- Hunger, thirst, features of "hardcore", and a changing environment which would force you to not settle. Those features I will go into detail.

    In order to stop you from settling into a place and be safe forever, Hunger and thirst are the base of the features to keep you going. Let's say you are in your starting chunk. Day after day conditions in that Biome/Chunk change, if you stay in there long enough crops will not grow or grow far slower, animals begin "dying" and won't spawn in that chunk anymore.

    To make it more difficult, difficulties have been change. There is no difficulty, but in that area the difficulty will keep increasing and by that mobs will keep getting stronger and stronger, with more of them as each night passes. Eventually they would be at a strength where a zombie could possibly take half your health out with a single hit, and their tolerance for light changes. Mobs could possibly even begin spawning in dim light, if you don't leave maybe they will spawn under the shadow of trees. Or even in your own home. and to stop you from hiding in a hole, they could spawn close to you, maybe a creeper will appear inside that 1x1x2 hole with you. Besides you would starve out eventually.

    Perhaps something else to make it more cruel, trees could begin decaying, the wood begins to fade in color and cracks form, showing you they are about to vanish. Leaves would also vanish without dropping saplings. If you were to somehow survive in a place long enough, you would run out of wood to make tools with. Besides that, wouldn't crops stop growing some time before then so you would starve? Yes and any supplies you had saved would eventually dwindle away.

    Once you leave that area (which would be large, maybe 100x100-200x200 blocks big?) you would be at a safe place you could stop at and live peacefully without all of those negative effects. Thats until it happens again and you have to keep moving.

    Once you die your statistics would be shown and you could save them. Things like how many days you lasted, how many of ____ you killed, how much food you had eaten, etc.

    It's a flawed design as I am bad at coming up with a decent design, but if this was introduced would you play it? While I enjoy the default Minecraft I love challenges and I know plenty of people do too.

    I've been playing Minecraft for a while. Ever since I started playing it, anytime I use the downloadable exe. After say, 10 minutes? It simply closes randomly and my progress isn't saved. I am able to play the browser version fine. The reason why I want to play the client is because I am wanting to use certain mods, which I cannot do through the browser. Anyone experienced this/ know how to fix?

    Something Notch added, they can appear on the surface rarely now. Also, you can do it by hitting "Print Screen" in the top right corner of your Keyboard. There is a way to do it in game but I have no clue which one it is.

    Looks very nice, does add a lot of depth in the game. Perhaps not all grass blocks should have the tall grass, but harvesting from a tall grass yields a larger chance for seeds?

    The only thing I see which will not be in the update is lanterns. The only things I don't know is the pumpkins, watch, and the scarier depths. All else is confirmed.

    That Creeper block is what I assume is the Ghast. Notch said on his twitter a few days ago that it is 4 blocks high. The block looks like a face, and is 4 or so blocks high. He has probably made a head piece, and will probably eventually make a body for it before Halloween.

    posted a message on I commited the greatest Sin of all!
    If you received a Slime Ball, make a funeral for it. Make a chest, dig a 2 block deep hole, add in chest with slime, bury and leave a memorial plaque. I have done it for every slime I killed :sad.gif:

    Hand out advertisements for Minecraft. Also I would hope for a type of flying mob, like a large aggressive bird/demon/bat. Perhaps dragons will fly when they are added. I can hope.

    I'll bump this. Is there anyone who can this of an improvement to my system I would use? I have thought of adding an objective type of thing for the Mobs, excluding the killing. Perhaps when CTF is added, or the idea of getting a "Mob Spawner Stone" which when added to an Inactive Mob spawner, it can spawn Mobs at that spawner for a number of times before it becomes inactive again. 20 Mobs?

    Will be interesting to see how this turns out. One thing I would enjoy through is if somebody created the Fallout 3 world in Minecraft. If somebody ever does that, a Fallout themed pack would be amazing.
