Sorry to but in on this but if beets are the issue would a solution be to remove all beets in the village and replace them with something such as potatoes for example? I ask as I am trying to build up a village and if this is a viable option then I will replace any beets in the farms I can.

    Love your alias!!

Haven't seen a reference to the 'Warlock' books for "lo these many years" as they say. Was one of my favorite series, but hated the last one where he and the Robo-horse went away.

I had a ZX81 and even made a cute Pac-Man knockoff that fit in the 1K memory done in Z80 machine code. Still have one I play around with on occasion.

Thanks - the combination of fantasy/sci-fi and humour works for me!

posted a message on warning for laptop users with nvidia graphics cards

    Hi

just a heads up for anyone using a laptop for playing minecraft with nvida graphics drivers (900 series esp).

The latest driver v378.49 dated 01/24/2017 may cause issues - I updated to this today and minecraft would then not load - as soon as you click play on the launcher it gives an error (the launcher log shows a server error). Re-installing either the graphics driver or minecraft does not help.

I had to revert to the previous driver to enable minecraft to load again.

Mending books can be fished up. Any enchantment is possible on a fished book. I don't know if the fished books can have more than one enchantment though.

Yes - fishing can give you books with multiple enchantments , I recently got one with Respiration III, Unbreaking III and Bane Of Arthropods IV - it often seems to be an odd mix of enchantments and of course when you use the book the enchantments only apply to the item type you are enchanting so any others are lost.So the one I go can either be used on a sword or helmet but would lose one on the enchantments. Still not bad for free.....

Zombie villages in caves can sound quite spooky, much lower and slower sounding than regular zombies

Can of worms now officially open! *

Seriously it's your game you can play how you want - if that is how you like to play then fine - no one else can tell you how you should play. Whether it is cheating or not is again your opinion.

I am puzzled why you would do this though as once you make a bed sleeping in it will make the night pass within seconds and once you are asleep in a bed you are safe from mobs even out in the open.

    * there was a previous thread about something similar - and that ran to several pages and some of the opinions for some reason got quite heated, strange but true!

posted a message on Gray/Black Tamed Wolf

Seems to be a common issue - I have wolves/dogs which sometimes turn dark grey nowhere near water and stay that way for a while before turning back. Seems to happen more often in caves/mines or inside buildings so I suspect a shader/lighting issue-but causes no problems.
