I've seen topics upon topics of free software, textures, models, etc. That everybody has tried here. I'm sure that pretty soon if you don't bookmark the link it becomes pretty difficult to find that program you like but was too busy (or lazy) at the moment to bookmark or download. So I would like to make a list of all the FREE SOFTWARE AND SITES useful for making MC videos. It can be audio it can be video compositing, model making, textures, whatever! But remember it has to be 100% FREE. So if you find something you think everybody here can use please post below and I would be delighted to post it up here on the first post! This is free software for the making of Minecraft Videos. So anybody who is interested in making a video can look in this list and maybe find something that can help them. Enjoy.
Please note as the list gets bigger it will be modified so remember what you see today doesn't mean it will be there tomorrow!
The links have been colored according to their classification so they can be easily identified!
If there is a program/site that has two or more classifications it will be posted under the Utilities section.
Programs are not guaranteed to work on your operating system although most of them should.
Mac compatible programs will be marked with a

Linux compatible programs will be marked with a

However check the program you are interested in anyway. Who knows? It might be Mac or Linux compatible by now!
If you see a program that is Mac or Linux compatible in this list please let me know.
Trials will not be accepted in this list. If you find one please notify me.
If it's not too much trouble. Please don't forget to vote in the poll above and click on the little green arrow button under my post!
This list is updated at least once a month.

Can have as many different textures as you want. The texture and mesh can be exported at any resolution. Saves 3ds for Sketchup import. Hint. Always use the smooth command in Sketchup, and then omit back faces when you import into MW.
6. Genetica Viewer
Don't let the viewer name discourage you, this "viewer" creates all kinds of textures based on templates (has about 200 or something). The tiles it creates are seemless, and can be saved in several resolutions that are appropriate for MS.

Unlike most planetarium software, Celestia doesn't confine you to the surface of the Earth. You can travel throughout the solar system, to any of over 100,000 stars, or even beyond the galaxy. All movement in Celestia is seamless; the exponential zoom feature lets you explore space across a huge range of scales, from galaxy clusters down to spacecraft only a few meters across. A 'point-and-goto' interface makes it simple to navigate through the universe to the object you want to visit. Celestia is expandable. Transcoding on a Mac is a serious pain, especially since MS only supports very limited codecs and only the AVI container format. As of this post (Feb 22, 2010.), the only video format that MS is supposed to handle for adding video to prims is MP42 in an AVI container. This is what it generates when it renders it's own video.
There seems to be a bug in handling this on Mac platforms though because adding video to a prim doesn't always work. Download this tool to fix it. Instructions below:
The download instructions ask you to download mpeg2enc.intel and a tar file containing mplayer and mencoder. They fail to tell you to unzip the archive and select the unarchived binaries during the installation phase, so the steps are:
1) Download ffmgepX (IMG file) and mount it, drag it to the Applications folder.
2) Download the mpeg2enc.intel file.
3) Download the gzipped tarfile of mplayer and mencoder and unarchive it.
4) Run ffmpegX from the Applications folder and when it asks for the installation location of these files, use the finder browser to locate each file separately, even though it says to locate the tar file for both mencoder and mplayer.
