I think if look at sk89q's links (WE) you'll find contents of chests and SPC/WE aren't going to happen. I can copy and paste the chests themselves but even those often have the hinge position moved.
You might be able to //replace ### (half step) 9 (still water) or 8 (flowing water).
I think it a good idea to look at //limit as well.

Sweet baby Jesus I'm a freaking genius! It worked! i simply moved my books over to the nether, then copied my DIM-1 folder and moved it to the world that i needed the books in. Sure enough they are there! The worlds are the same seed so there will be no generation errors. I'm so happy! Thank god I'm good at finding loop holes. Now time to move over the rest of my chests. Tomanyitems might be a faster way but, oh well. i'll just move everything to the nether and move them over that way

hey guys, i'm sure this has been asked before, but i haven't seen an answer to it yet. Is there a way that you can copy over the inventory of chests when pasting a schematic from one world to a new one? I moved my town from my old world to a re-create and would very much want to avoid having to rewrite my entire town history (10ish 5 page books), as well as filling the chests back up manually. Finite water screwed up my world when i forgot to update my mods before loading a world. all the water in my world was turned to half steps...

If you had read back on the forums you would have seen countless times were they have explicitly stated that other mods that allow you to give yourself blocks like To many items WILL NOT WORK. that would cause a severe balancing issue making mining and material gathering useless and unneeded. My guess is that they want you to work for your ships. this isn't a stupid free build mod. This is going to be a battle field, and i'm going to live forever, or die trying.

you could try adding a stealth core which makes your ship not show up on radar and you carn't see the ship
I'm 99.9% sure they already something like that planned. Personally I don't think it should cloak your ship from line of sight. Just sensors and radar. more realistic that way.

When they release the mod it's sure to have some bugs. Just fallow the Forum and watch for when they release it. And before someone asks, they don't have a time frame on that. Frost has stuff going on with his work. yes he's a programer.
However, simulation is still going to be tied to processing power, so there's going to be some minimum requirements, especially with heavily trafficked servers (though we can probably rearrange which servers handle which systems to move the weaker ones out into the boonies.)
What if the size of the world was dependent on the power of the server. If it's a low end server that can't support many people have it be a small moon as well as move it out to the edges of space. This will cause less traffic to the smaller servers. possibly.
This mod will be very awesome when first release is out. Frostbyte can throw out all the imaginary calendar dates and troll responses he wants. I know he gets it done, it'll be done. And when it is released, he will look back and say "Damn went through a lot of **** to get here" And the appreciation shown towards him will be reward enough...that or 200$ from the adfly sales

Btw, trying to get people to use to the new calendar system the Argra will force us to adopt when they invade Earth 48 years from now. I'm hoping this gesture will help to put us in their favor.
White listing your server would be a very good idea. That way you don't have to set up automated defenses at the stargate, spawn point, and space. you can move your defenses to the stargate and spend more materials on upgrading orbital defenses. The down side would be the lack of new players joining you.
I personally like the idea of space junk floating around space. You could capture it and put it in orbit around your planet and mount guns to it, use it as a missile to bombard a planet, hallow it out and hide ships in it or use it as a hidden outpost. It would save you a lot of materials. launching a platform into space would be more expensive probably.

ships can be issues a serial number by planet authorities. The serial number is broadcasted from a block that can be placed on a ship. This way Authorities can allow ships though the defense network it they are issued a trading permit, or can target them if they aren't issued a number or have been marked as pirates or enemies. My guess is that this block would function similar to the way a written book does. Sensors would read the block and cross check it against the database of accepted IDs. if it isn't a match it will be targeted and destroyed/crippled.
Last thing, will you be able to get your robots to patrol along a designated path? It would be very helpful in making areas more secure. It will also make the world seam more lively having NPCs wandering around.
I think it would be cool if someone were to make a "colony ship" as a spawn point. Here's the reference if you are interested.

I like these, especially the colony ship. The point of all the upgrades to the game engine is to let players think big, just like this.

So no wool ships? Makes sense, wool isn't a very air tight material obviously, but then i can't make a stealth fighter made of light blue wool so that it blends in with the sky... sad face.
