So this happened to be at the top of the forum threads, I don't usually ask for things, but it seems legit. A friend suggested I try Minecraft & I was able to buy pocket edition using a pre-purchased iTunes gift card, but I'd like to be able to play on PC without bothering my friends.
I'm 19 and never owned a credit card. I'm currently studying full-time at university on a scholarship. I don't earn much money (Study allowance is paid fortnightly) and living with my grandparents. I currently share a Minecraft account with a friend. As far as I know, pre-purchased Mojang vouchers aren't available here in Australia and I don't know of any institutions that will give a credit card to someone who is unemployed so I'd really appreciate it if you'd consider my application.
It's really cool that you're doing this for people, thanks for considering me,

tried a secured credit card? You pay like $75 or something and they give you a card with like a $750 limit.
It's what I had to do way back when....
Yes, but be patient because 1.6 was a hell of an update so updates are taking longer than usual because a lot of stuff has changed. I will post here when it's updated.
Oh I completely understand, that's why I was wondering what was happening with it. I don't even know how to go about modding 1.6 as they changed it to make it more steamlined or something like that? or so it would be easier to mod?
Word of advice; if you're looking for a new host to perhaps cut you a deal, the worst thing you can do is start ranting at them
The guy gave you a suggestion, doesn't mean that's how it should be done, or that he requires you to do it that way, it's just a suggestion. So take a chill pill.
Sorry, I'm just extremely flustered, I'm tired of dealing with this stuff, and quite frankly that suggestion doesn't make a lot of sense especially not considering the size of the server as a whole and the fact that there are over 65,000 files in total.
I've suffered a lot of downtime, and lost a fair number of players because of it. I'm trying to grow a server, not run one for a few buddies.
If that is true, my suggestion would to worldedit locally, and keep it in dropbox. This way you can save money and keep the map in-sync and let everyone do sections at a time.
.... what?? the map size is somewhere on the order of 8GB.... it isn't going to be easy to make changes and keep it on drop box furthermore how is that going to work if im making changes locally, and my builders are working on the server? they would never be able to access my changes.
I just don't get how that would work...... Plus now you're doing what everyone else seems to want to and tell me how I should be operating my server so I can run it the way you want, on your services.....
Seems like if you can't cater to my needs as a server owner, then I probably shouldn't bother putting my server there, and I have skilled builders who need to use worldedit, not worrying about putting the server up and down to constantly update the map.
We have upgraded everything and now have multicraft, id like to re add you om skype so we can sort a deal out for you, i promise.we are not the company you first new and have upgraded a lot in the past 2 months.
You mean I'd be able to change my password without breaking the ENTIRE system?
Sorry man, you screwed me once, I'm not made of money and I'm not about to go back to a host who has screwed me once already.....not only that, screwed me pretty bad and caused the loss of much data.

Sorry man, I can barely afford the $20 I pay per month. 2GB would generally be fine, but when my builders start using worldedit, 3GB is barely enough to keep the server from timing out from memory over-use.
I have until next month to find a host. and I'm not about to WASTE anymore money. So I'm going to be doing research, and making sure the next host I go to isn't going to be the same sh*tshow i've been dealing with.
How do these companies expect to be big hosts when they can't handle servers run by someone looking to make a popular server? I'm not doing this for pure recreation, I'm looking to succeed here, I'm looking to be running a server that has a fairly high population by the end of the year.....if it makes it that far.
Well at this point I'm starting to get real tired of dealing with amateurs and companies run by teenagers to host my server.
I've got a server that runs 50+ plugins, and I've been running them for some time now, generally they run fine, I've had up to 10 people playing and being busy, with these plugins running on a 3GB server, and not suffering any problems.
Right now I'm paying $20 for a 3GB server, and I'd like to find something that doesn't cost a cent more, but as I said I'm getting real tired of dealing with people who don't seem to know what they are doing and companies stuffing tons of servers onto one machine.
I'm also tired of coming back and seeing my server offline for no reason other than "read timed out" and my players are getting pretty upset at them constantly being disconnected.
Is there someone out there that can host such a server? I would love to be able to walk away from my computer for more than 5 mins and not have to worry about whether or not my server is going to be online when I get back.
if you've imported any custom adventer type maps in multiverse, and they use command blocks, there is a good chance that's how it got changed.
I tried to bring in a zombie survival map, but it's heavy use of command blocks changed all the gamerules and it took me a little while to figure out what was going on.
Anyone know how the hell to disable the debug profiler/pie chart in the F3 menu? Optifine won't turn it off and a post in the optifine thread mentions it has something to do with liteloader and it requiring the profiler.
At any rate I'd REALLY like that pie chart gone, its taking up a lot of real estate when im running windowed.
When you press F3 you get this horrible pie graph showing performance status. It seems ever since 1.5.1 I haven't been able to turn this friggin thing off.
Shift+F3 does NOT make it go away, that just displays the lagometer.

I don't have money so I can't pay, so I was hoping someone could generously make a banner for our server.
If you can please let me know.
