Good News, read the errors on github that there's an extra file now, installed it and now NEI doesn't crash, controls show up in (mostly) in the keybinding area but some items are missing like how to show the GUI... then I could test to see if the cheat mode works...
As stated 2 and 3 posts above... I never seen one on the site for core, the assumption is that the core and lib have merged as it worked fine with the other 2 mods available on the site...
was NEI reacquired as a standalone or is it still a helper file for the JEI mod like for 1.10.2?
UPDATE: if I disable all the JEI mods (JEI, JEIBees, and JEIIntegration) the game doesn't crash but gives me an error page saying NEI needs JEI to run...
UPDATE 2: updated the Lib to latest, still crashed
I have noticed the 1.12 and the ones you do have are probably not complete, am I right? I don't know if it's a TiC issue or JEI but not everything is listed and the icons are not showing, for instance the Ardite Shovel. Other things like the Part Chest is not even there and I had to look it up in a previous version of minecraft, even doing a search for it in 1.12 didn't work...

Nope, issue still remains...
BTW, The Part Chest recipe didn't work and created another Pattern Chest...
I hope the flight portion comes out soon and is announced here to the other page cause daflight mod is annoying me, I don't mind the sudden stopping but it's too sensitive and fast to be used for anything but flying long distances...

Go to "Tools" then select "Downloads"
you should then be able to right-click and select "open folder"
if you still cannot find it, select "Tools" then "Options" and find the drop-down menu that says "Downloads" and change the folder. (I usually download to the desktop then move the file...)
I tried the v48, crashed... v54 still works to a point... my only real issue is not the GUI, it's that the keybindings are not listed in the Controls...

Yeah they closed it, someone else reported it before me but I added logs and such

NEI is only on Latest for 1.12... I have already reported the issue on the tracker page, they know about it...

to be honest, I use Zyin's HUD now for the overlay (I used to turn it off for the better NEI one) but it doesn't have the chunk one...
