posted a message on Just a Simple Teleporter
I have looked around to find a simple teleporter mod but to no avail, so I thought I'd make a request. All it would do is add a block to the game that when right clicked brings up a GUI that lets you change the frequency. Only two teleporters can have the same frequency, and once two are set to the same frequency all the player has to do is right-click the block and it would send them to the top of the corresponding teleporter. Maybe when you set a frequency it could change the color of the block or something to show which is which in case you have a lineup of them, and the recipe could use enderpearls or something. I can make textures and models if needed, I just can't code (I'm learning though, but its hard work without my own internet).

Could I include this in a modpack? You didn't seem to specify so I just wanted to make sure it was okay with you before I did.

Are you going to update this to 1.8? It looks really neat and I really want to try it but it looks like you haven't updated it for a while...

Oops! I didn't realize that you'd already answered this.

posted a message on A More Interesting Nether
So I had an idea a few years back about making the nether a more dynamic and beneficial addition to survival, but do not possess the resources nor knowledge to bring it to fruition, so I figured maybe some of the brilliant minds here on the forum could lend their talents and make this a reality. Currently, stepping into the nether is like stepping into a desert. Its bland, boring, and in my opinion, rather tasteless (that's not an affront to the creators, just an observation). It just keeps going on and on, full of the same old things in different places. Now I know what you're thinking, and no, I don't want someone to just add new biomes, or trees or dungeons; no, I want someone to make it like you've just spawned into a new world.

The diamond tools of the overworld would be too weak to break the dense stones of the underworld, and all nether materials cannot be broken with the player's fist, causing you to need to bring a diamond axe (which would function in the nether about the same as a your fist would in the overworld against nether wood materials) to cut down a tree, and make new starter tools for the nether. The nether wood tools would be stronger than the diamond tools of the overworld, and the nether ore items such as the nether equivalents of iron and gold would scale respectively. With the new nether wood tools in hand you could begin mining and gathering the ores and stone of the nether, effectively adding pretty much a second tier of tools and armor to the game.

Just to clarify, I wouldn't want to change the way the nether generates (no sky, just land on both sides, etc) but instead add biomes and naturally generated structures that just make it seem more complete.

Now I know this sounds overpowered and game breaking for the overworld, but by the time I reach the nether usually I have a base filled with excess items and a player with full diamond armor and a complete diamond toolset, which means that, as far as I'm concerned, I'm done with the overworld until I can fight a Wither, which is something I usually do in the nether anyway and really only results in a pretty way to use said aforementioned excess items in the form an under-powered glowing brag-trophy. If you're still concerned about the mod breaking the game with all the unbalanced nether stuff, maybe the nether stuff would become weaker in the overworld or something (to me that seems like it would defeat the point, but hey, I'd just be happy with more things in the nether). I can make entity models and entity and block textures through the combined usage of techne and PaintDotNet as support if needed, but will only be able to keep checking back in every now and then because I don't currently have internet (I'm in the process of moving and getting situated).

Let me know what you think, make suggestions, and help build on this idea if you'd like, because honestly its just an underdeveloped concept right now.

posted a message on Custom NPCs
I love this mod! Its been one of my favorites for a long time now, and it just keeps getting better every update. I don't know if you accept suggestions, or if you do, where to make them, but since I couldn't find a specific location to do so, I am going to post it here if that's alright. I read your planned features list and came across the Innkeeper, where you said that you would be adding unique doors which you'd have to pay to gain interaction with, and I wondered, why not add a new tool that players could use to link anything with a possible interaction, like a chest or hopper, to an npc? That way you wouldn't have to add your own doors, and it would expand the possibilities for what you could do with the npcs (you could theoretically set it up so players could rent a chest or pay an npc to activate a hopper with a hidden switch by linking the switch itself to the npc). Once again I apologize if this is posted in the wrong place or if you don't accept suggestions, as I couldn't find a location specifically for them. Thank you for the mod and all your hard work, it really is amazing!
