Here's a little info on destroying abandoned buildings/areas. You can do whatever you want with unclaimed places. However, say you burn something down or blow it up, it's going to look a bit crappy. So, if you destroy something, make it a bit more "cleaner" or something along those lines. No floating blocks or stuff like that.

At this homestead, Daniel learned how to read (his parents often traded books, and he often got a look at them between trades) and write. Daniel was forced to gather what few belongings he had -- a compass, book, and a few hunks of beef -- and run away. As he made it over the nearby hills, Daniel could see his home burning. Daniel tried for days to find his parents, but couldn't return home, as the mutants were settled in its charred wreckage. Daniel never did find his family, but wandered the Wastes anyway, scrounging for food and work. He did find some odd jobs along his journey, and his proficiency with wiring, and his skill with weapons of all sort, earned him the nickname "Tooly" among his friends along with some supplies and food. He also wears a black vest in which he keeps key items, and long pants and a turtleneck to help, again, with the cold. Daniel's most distinctive feature is the glimmer in his eyes, which show a subtle cleverness and intellect.
How does your character act? Daniel generally acts friendly, but the Wastes have made him a bit cynical and prone to fast judgements. However, if he likes someone, he is fiercely loyal to them.
Character's occupation: Daniel doesn't have a solid job, but sometimes finds work in wiring and electricity, along with protective detail.
Does your character have an education? (Read or write): Yes, Daniel can read and write proficiently.

Describe an example of your character in great suffering and pain (RP, and Long): A shot rang out. Daniel wildly ducked, despite the fact that there was no cover nearby to hide behind. Cursing, he clutched his chest. He didn't feel any pain, but when he looked down he saw a trickle of blood flowing out of a small hole below his ribs. Daniel's eyes widened, and a strained gurgle erupted from the back of his throat. Pressure. Pressure! Pulling a bandage (his last, it would seem) out of his vest, Daniel began to press on the wound. Now he felt pain. The shock was wearing off. Daniel groaned and fell to his knees, only to hear another shot fire. He dove downward and heard a sharp ping! as a rock nearby exploded into a cloud of dust. Scrabbling to his knees, and then to his feet (despite the pain and the shot still ringing in his ears), Daniel began to run. Pain was flowing through him like a river, sapping life from him. He'd gotten 10 yards away when he heard another shot and collapsed. Daniel realized with horror that he wouldn't be able to get away, and winced at the thought of the shooter coming over to finish the job. With a shudder, Daniel closed his eyes to accept the inevitable.

Pavel left him with a small sack of silver coins as well as his cloak, which had Pavel’s crest on it. Later that year, Danilo finally found enough money to pay for safe passage across the sea and to England. Once at a port in a seaside English town, Danilo Went to the local inn and began to tell stories. There were some Russian sailors there, who appreciated the man’s tales and paid him handsomely for telling them. The next day, Danilo spent his well-earned silver on hard ale, and woke up the next day in the woods, bruised and battered, with most of his coin gone and no memory of what had happened. Danilo, bitter at his own irresponsibility, began to regain his humor as he travelled about, finding work in smithing as well as storytelling. He travelled throughout England, never settling down, and eventually learned English. Danilo, now at the age of 25, was in a small wooded village smelting horseshoes when he heard a yell outside. Not wanting any trouble, the young Ukrainian picked up a brittle iron sword his boss had made, and went outside. He saw a group of men assaulting the local tavern-keeper, and rushed over to give aid to the latter. The men overpowered him and he narrowly avoided a plated gauntlet to the face. Despite this, he found himself worse off when, as trying to escape, he discovered a dagger in his breast. Adding zombies just makes it more fun, more of a challenge. I nearly yelled 'Huzzah!' when I saw this server, because it looks like everything I want. Could want. This server is perfect! (Also, I hate servers with griefing and trolling. I'm pretty lenient with theft, but I won't do it if it isn't allowed.)
Are you a kind player to your team-mates? I always try to be fair to my teammates (sharing food and loot, etc.) Also, I take people in if they need help and invite them to join me if they're honest, hard-working, and good at either mining, fighting, or foraging. However, if someone crosses me, I'll hunt them down and do whatever I can to make their life a living...Well, you get the point.
Why do you think your Character can survive the harsh cold zombie filled land? My character will survive the zombie-infested ice age because, though he has no formal training, he is great at hunting, foraging, and above all, sneaking. This makes him great at going it alone, when he needs to, and fight zombies and people, and above all, survive.
A little background of your character?
First of all, my character's name is Daniel Redridge. His father was a blacksmith before he was killed in a town rebellion. His mother, Becca Sanguine, was a huntress that supplied meat for the local butcher. As the angry townspeople were moving in on their house, his mother picked him up and they ran to the surrounding hills. The town in shambles, Daniel and his mother realized that they could never go back. Daniel was taught how to hunt and survive in the wilderness by his mother, and he milked the earth for it's rich metals to craft weapons and armor, just as his father did. When his mother died of fever in the summer, Daniel decided it was time to leave his lonely life behind. He put on his fur boots and hood, and began his quest to traverse the world and help those in need, in order to bring honor to his family name.
I installed this mod for 1.0, but the terrain generation is still normal. Did I simply install it wrong, or is it a bug that's happened to more people?
I personally think it would be cool for a server to have a cold theme, with wintery skins and textures. Although I don't think any mods like it exist, it would be awesome if, on this theoretical server, hypothermia kills off players, and players have to fight for fire or torches to stay alive.
Just a thought, though. And this is my first topic, so I hope this was done correctly, and isn't too short (although it probably is), and doesn't attract that much criticism.

I've read all of these rules multiple times.

Although this is the first server I've been on that is completely dedicated to the Prison Experience, I've served as a prison guard on multiple servers and know how to deal with griefers, armed prisoners, and escapees with ease and patience.
6) What is your general location? (USA, Europe, Asia, etc.) I am located in Asia.
7) Why are you the best choice for guard?
I'm the best choice for guard because, though I enjoy *occasionally* breaking prison rules, and fighting with other prisoners, I also have a sense of responsibility and justice, so when someone does something wrong, like killing a defenseless player for no reason, I try to help the latter but try not to be overly harsh to the former, which is helped by the fact that I don't hold grudges. I mentioned earlier that I have served as a guard on other servers. In addition to that, I have been a moderator on a few, and people seem to relax a little and get more agreeable when I'm one of the people watching over them.
1) Why do you wish to be a guard?
I would like to be a guard because, right now, the guard system is extremely lacking in skill and manpower. Guards are only on every few hours, and even then they usually do nothing to enforce rules other than sometimes taking away swords. I don't like this for many reasons, including the fact that it allows players to do anything they want, and --I know this from experience-- prey on new players, which doesn't help the server's popularity.
2) How long have you been playing the server? (Minimum of 3 days)
I've been playing on the server for two weeks as of today.
3) Do you understand that abusing your powers as guard will lead to you being stripped of your status and maybe even banned?
I understand this rule and completely agree with it.
4) Why are you a good choice for guard?
I'm a good choice for guard duty because I have been a guard on many servers, and enjoy helping players and chastising them for breaking the rules (I don't take a perverse pleasure in it, though, and I'm always fair). Also, I enjoy just walking around the prison, even if nothing exciting is happening.
5) What are some things that you can help fix during your time as guard?
During my time as a guard, I will try to be more forceful with the rules, such as the no-swords rule, and, since I'm in Japan, I will be online and patrolling when most other guards will be asleep and/or offline.
6) What do you think about the current guards? Do you think they should act differently in certain situations?
I think that the guards are too soft on people, to be quite frank. When someone's weapon is taken away, they can easily get a new one and continue with whatever they're doing. Also, I've seen that when someone harms a guard, the guard usually runs away or doesn't retaliate until it's too late. When I am a guard, I'll make sure that everyone gets what they deserve (Once again, I won't be incredibly harsh on people. I don't want to sound like a psycho or anything...unless it's Noakii we're talking about, of course).

I've been playing on the server for two weeks as of today.
3) Do you understand that abusing your powers as guard will lead to you being stripped of your status and maybe even banned?
I understand this rule and completely agree with it.
4) Why are you a good choice for guard?
I'm a good choice for guard duty because I have been a guard on many servers, and enjoy helping players and chastising them for breaking the rules (I don't take a perverse pleasure in it, though, and I'm always fair). Also, I enjoy just walking around the prison, even if nothing exciting is happening.
5) What are some things that you can help fix during your time as guard?
During my time as a guard, I will try to be more forceful with the rules, such as the no-swords rule, and, since I'm in Japan, I will be online and patrolling when most other guards will be asleep and/or offline.
6) What do you think about the current guards? Do you think they should act differently in certain situations?
I think that the guards are too soft on people, to be quite frank. When someone's weapon is taken away, they can easily get a new one and continue with whatever they're doing. Also, I've seen that when someone harms a guard, the guard usually runs away or doesn't retaliate until it's too late. When I am a guard, I'll make sure that everyone gets what they deserve (Once again, I won't be incredibly harsh on people. I don't want to sound like a psycho or anything...unless it's Noakii we're talking about, of course).
