((hey all, sorry for inactivity as of late-was dealing with some personal issues. And, simply because i'm way to tired to go through all the last few posts, anybody want to give me a recap? And by anybody i mean a mod.))
Christian followed close behind Diz, placing his new items in his pockets, as they headed off to their next class. Christian had often enjoyed math in the past, there was a certain pattern to it that made it enjoyable. A certain sameness that he found appealing.
They continued walking through the corridors and hallways, Christian being quite lost and content to let Diz lead the way, until they reached a room that had to be the math room. Christian followed Diz into the room and took a seat next to him.
Christian had been entirely lost as Diz and Farron spoke about things that he could only assume were just completely beyond his comprehension. He was pleasantly drifting off into a little world of fantasy when Farron finished in a huff and turned his attentions on Christian. Christian thought that Farron had called him "Gambler", but he couldn't think why. Christian eyed the things that Farron had set before him with growing intrigue. Farron hadn't said what the dice do, indeed he said he didn't know, but they did look so shiney. The coin he was interested in as soon as he heard about it. "Hmm, alright Farron. You've piqued my interest. Tell me what I have to do for you to get these items."
((lol leave it to the new folks to start crying about dying when activity slackens))
Christian cringed away from Farron pulling himself under the apparitions arm. He moved away from Farron to stand next to Diz.
"What exactly do any of things things do?" He asked, trying to ascertain what kind of merchant this dead fellow was. He also asked to give him an excuse to get away from him. There was something off-putting about being next to somebody who proclaimed themselves as dead.
Christian walked into the room after Diz, wrinkling his nose as he breathed in a waft of dust. Looking at all the old busts and books, he considered the options for what a room like this could have been-of course it was from a time long gone by the looks of things, so modern constraints wouldn't be especially helpful in this regard. "Do you think this could have been some kind of study? I mean, the books and everything, the busts. It could be some important persons place to do their work." He spun in a slow circle taking everything in, "Then again...it could be some kind of trophy room, I mean look at all this random looking stuff just put on display." He walked towards one of the counters and picked up a random object off of it. It was a small, roundish stone. It was a curious stone in that its color was somewhere between a glacier and a moonbeam. It remained somewhat cold in his hand, no matter how long he held it. Christian held it up for Diz to see, "Hey, this seems like it could be interesting."
Christian looked over the room from outside, his eyes running over the stone walls worn from years of existence. He focused on the touch of the air on his skin and the presence of the room. "I don't feel anything in particular...age mostly. There's a certain...I don't know how to describe it-appeal? I feel drawn to it for a reason I can't quite put my finger on." He ran his fingers over the door frame and shrugged. "Old or not, it's in pretty good shape. They must take care of this place." He thought about Diz's question about exploring; Diz thought that they shouldn't, but Christian couldn't think of why-it seemed entertaining enough. "Eh, what th' hell. Let's go explore."
Christian gathered up what things he had brought with him, accumulating to about nothing, and wandered out of the classroom. In the general hustle and bustle of students exiting the room he noticed that Kylar and Diz were both wandering away and, seeing that he didn't really know anybody else, chose to follow Diz. Christian had a bit of trouble keeping after Diz because he was moving so quickly and without any apparent destination in mind.
After a bit of randomly following Diz, and loosing him once or twice, Christian discovered that he was quite lost. Not at all concerned by this, he decided that he should stop acting like a stalker and announce his presence,
"Hey Diz, where are you going?" Genius, farmer, genius. He thought to himself.
Christian sheepishly walked into class late, due to scheduling conflicts of the controller, passing a stricken looking fellow as he left the room, and took the most inconspicuous seat he could find. He somehow had picked up the material somewhere and sat at his desk trying to pay attention to what was going on. He saw his roommate, that Diz fellow, sitting somewhere else looking rather bored and Kylar looking rather crestfallen somewhere else. He turned back to the lecture and tried paying attention to the devices that were being mentioned. He was rather glad about the reading assignment, he'd already read the book before and would do well with going back over it.
((Sorry for shorter than usual post, finals got me braindead))
Christian watched as others stood up and turned to Diz, "Well, it's not like i'd go out of my way to get into a fight. But I wouldn't back down from one. Well if all were going to do is ask then awesome." He then motioned towards the leaving people and said, "That was the bell for the first class wasn't it? Don't you think we should be heading out?"
Christian moves on to his next bit of food while mulling over what Kylar had said for a bit. The idea had merit. Getting higher tier armbands so that they could access higher tier things seemed like a great idea. But then again there was also the bit he said about them getting them off of the higher tier student themselves. Frankly he didn't mind getting into a few fights, as long as it didn't effect him too much.
"So we are taking the armbands from other students then? Isn't that considered stealing? Won't we get reprimanded for that?"
Christian sits down at the table casting a curious eye on the person who had greeted him as his roommate-the one shoveing food into his mouth at a comical rate. Reminds me of Scooby Doo he thought with a smile. He grabs the first food that he sees that is within arms reach and starts to methodically eat it all. He remembers his manners first of course,
"Hello roomie, my name is Christian. And hello again Kylar." Then he registers what his roommate had said, "Wait, did you say red armbands? Aren't those the color of the fifth year students? Why would we need those?"
Christian wakes up to the sound of nails over a chalkboard and realizes he probably overslept. He stretches and changes into his uniform before exiting his room to find out if anybody exists inside the sun dorm yet, or if he is going to have to wander around to find people to interact with. He walks down to the common room but doesn't see anybody there. He shrugs and heads towards the lobby where again he finds nobody of importance. Feeling slightly silly just standing out in the open nowhere he starts looking for a place to sit when all of a sudden he feels a tug from his arm band. Not knowing what else to do he starts following the tug and before too long he ends up in the common room and sees some people talking. He sees that Kylar is there with them and walks up slightly awkwardly hoping to enter into the conversation. He sits down next to them and waits for a break in the conversation to speak.
((wrapping up conversation...with...myself...? meh))
Christian took his collective crap, which he realized didn't amount to all that much, and proceeded to head off to his room. He found his room with less trouble than he thought he would and started to organize his things. Which meant throwing some sheets on his bed and putting some stuff in his drawers. After his necessary business was taken care of he decided to do something he hadn't had time to do since he left his house all those long weeks ago. He laid down and took a nap.
Christian followed Kylar inside and looked around a bit. While they were standing around the Sun Dorm President ((who is currently unnamed at the moment, so I shall use my magical mod powers to invent and control one for the time being)) came over to the duo,
"You two students are new correct? Don't answer that, of course you are new. Wandering around like puppies off leashes. I suppose you both want to know how the rooming system works yes? Don't give me that look, it's what all of you newbies want to know. Here's the simple of it. It's up to you!" He waved them away and turned back to where he had come from.
"Now have fun doing roomy things and i'll go back to my very important dorm president things. Run along' He left the standing there and Christian felt slightly dazed from the whirlwind of words he was just exposed to.
