posted a message on [1.3.2] Hunting Traps Mod v0.2.1 [SSP & SMP](Spikes, Traps, Cages, Camouflage Grass and MORE)
This mod looks really cool. I have an idea if you want to hear it. It is similar to the boulder trap idea, you could place a log or "wrecking ball (stone)" then place another block up and to the side, for example,
    [][][][][][]p
    o[][][][][][]
    [][][][][][][]
    [][][][][][][]
    o = "wrecking ball"
    p = pivot block
ok now to make sense of it. you could join the ball to the pivot useing rope (or something else like wire to hold heavier objects) then when a redstone current is applied to the pivot block the object conected by the rope will swing similar to a pendulum knocking entities to the side untill the the ball stops swing and remains center. Removing the restone current would reset the ball to starting position. The heavier the block the harder it hits, eg a log would do less damage then a stone block.
I was thinking a way this could be done is when the rope is connected it could change the block into an entity therefore allowing more movment. also equaisons for speed modifiers could be mass of object times 1.1 for every block it travels in a downward direction for accelleration and mass times 1.2 for every block traveled in a upward direction for deaccelleration so it slowly slows down.

Thats all i can think of for now, if i can think of more ideas ill post them.

so... the modloader issue.. does that mean we cant play with smart moving until risugami corrects the fault?

no. go to the link i posted above and download the fixed modloader.class file. Install it like you would modloader but after it and it should work. if you used mcpatch download the ziped version or zip it your self.

Anyone happen to know how to fix the issue with the crawl under one block = suffocation damage issue?

I'm not sure... it doesn't in mine. What version are you using? Standalone or modloader? And is everything updated to the latest versions?

posted a message on Adding Non-player written books to add an Air of history and mystery
    i love this idea +1.
A few ideas for books could include history's of certain "unique" structures that hint to secret passages, hidden tressure and boobytraps.
Ok the unique structures and such would have to be designed first, but it would add an element of adventure and discovery to the game without needing to make the "missions" yourself. And i agree with them not being complete, it would make it a little harder to traverse the hidden passages and traps. Hell for stories, stuctures and all thing alike the mojang team could ask the community to design/write them and they add in the ones they think are most suitable.

posted a message on Book Stand/Bookshelf for Book&Quill
I have been wanting something similar for ages as well and when the new mincraft 1.3.1 got here i thought my prayers had been answerd with the new books and quills only to find the only vinilla way to store them was chests. Book stands would be great but only being able to get the books back by destroying the stand could get annoying. Instead it could act like the personal chests from ic2, as in once someone accesses it they are the only one who can change the inventory of the stand. Also being able to store books in book shelves would be a great plus. It could have a gui with a 3x3 grid to store books but anyone can get them out (for pickup quests and such). But you don't get the books out the conventional way, clicking on them opens the book but with an extra button to remove the book from the shelf (similar to the books in oblivion (for those that have played it)). Also while on the subject of books, i think that books should be more detrimental to enchanting, as in the enchantments could be phrases and such in books that you find in dungeons. This makes it more worthwhile searching for dungeons and if you know the phrase you can write it in a book then use it to enchant. The power of the enchantments could still be regulated by having to have bookshelves near the enchantment table like it currently does.
The enchantment table would need an extra slot for placing the book into, and the actual apearence of the table would be the same minus the book ontop enless you leave a book in it.

ok i can see that ppl still havent read the posts on the previous couple of pages.... hhhhhh...
It is a modloader error.... nothing else. the cause is the modloader.class. any mod that uses modloader.ontick will cause the above error. to fix this error download the fixed modloader.class from http://www.minecraft...eybind-mod-v09/ and copy it over the modloader.class thats with modloader (bare in mind the fixed modloader.class is a bit down the page). after that smartmoving should work. and for the ppl who are playing mp, you should be able to do all the smartmoving actions like crawl without the mp mod but the sever still registers that you are standing so it wont let you crawl through a 1 block space, otherwise it shold work fine.

Ok in mount and blade when you attack or block the weapon is moved in the direction you are turning. so if this is your screen (_) and you block while turning left you would block to the left like this (!_) and if you block while turning right you would block to the right like this(_!)
    !=vertical sword position
If you blocked while moving you mouse up you would block with you sword at the top of the screen, if you blocked while moving your mouse down you would block with you sword at the bottom of the screen like this (_). _=sword position.
if you attck while turning to the left you would draw your weapon to the left (similar to blocking) and swing it to the right. if you attack while turning to the right you would draw you weapon to the right and swing to the left. if you move you mouse down while attacking you would draw your weapon back and uppercut the opponent. if you move your mouse up while you attack you would draw you weapon up and then strike down.
also something would need to be added to judge the length of the weapon and add collision boxs to it or something so you can hit multiple enemys with one strike. If a weapon swing speed was added then you could loose speed when hitting an enemy therefor doing less damage to the next. if your opponent blocks. it would take off more speed then a successful hit thus doing even less damage to the next in line. also the longer you swing your sword before hitting something the faster you swing, so (like in reality) if you time it so the end of your swing is when it collides with your opponent it would cause more damage. Possibly when attacking you could hold the drawback so you can time your strikes better, but if you hold it to long the strength and speed of the swing starts deminishing.
Thats all i can think of for now.

I have read lots of great ideas in this post.
    a few of mine are,
maybe change the block so it is a counter as well, a well timed block would reverse the attack.
along with the windup there could be dodging, ie double tapping left, right or back will alow you to dodge in that direction.
as for a "focus" button, maybe a button to engage combat, then after its pressed the attack mechanics could behave similer to mount and blade, as in if you are turning to the left when you attack you will draw the weapon to the left and slash to the right. If you aim up when you attack you would draw you weapon up then strike down. The same could be done with blocking but you hold your weapon to the side you turn.
And possibly add a "speed" modifier to attacking, for example if you did a downward strike while standing still it would do less damage then if you jumped from a hieght and did the same downward strike. It could also go as complex as if your target is running (moving) away it would do less damage then if they are standing still and if they are moving towards you it does more.
Thats all i got for now.

hello all those people who beg u know sea has his own life to he dosen't have to update it cuz ur beging .plus i believe he is in collidge at the moment so he has less time on his .hands to work on pokemobs, and he is probably not exepting eny coders to make this proces go faster .so what i say calm down stop beging, and shut your mouth its the best way for u begers for 1.8.1 pokemon update .begers to do so this goes by faster play a vidio game or something .it seems like ur life is tied around pokemobs for ever, and for internity if that wer to hapen ud have to mary it wich is imposible. i like pokemobs when i first found it i wanted to download it so i did. i want 1.8 but im willing to wait but others are not.

Mate, could you please leave the commenting to the idea's. We already have enough people on here b****ing about the 1.8.1ers. If it was really such a big thing why not send sea a message asking to post on the main page that there is not going to be a 1.8.1 update, oh wait that requires a brain to think of that, wait one sec... i don't have a brain and i thought of it, so whats your excuse? Yes out of the 700 odd pages in this forum 100 odd pages would have people asking for 1.8.1. But then there would be about twice as many pages with people b****ing about them. Yes i agree that they don't need to fill the forum up with "Whens 1.8.1 coming out" but it doesn't need to be filled with b****ing about it either. So please people stop your b****ing and stop asking for 1.8.1 and we will all be a bit happier.

I still think that there should be a pokemon "world". Maybe the portal could be built out of iron or something, and to use it you put a button on the inside, step in press the button and you get teleported to the pokemon world. When you first enter the pokemon world it could become one of so many pre-made "regions". That way you wouldn't need to edit the existing world generator. Possibly you could even build multiple portals, so you could finish one region and go onto the next. If the community was in on creating the "regions" there could be an almost infinite story line, leading to hours of pokemobs fun. The original regions should be only so much of it, because you need to have variety. The original regions are a bit boring, especially if you have played them as much as me. Maybe the pokeball recipes could be redone to be a bit more pokelaw friendly and a bit easier on resources. eg.
    blank/red apricorn/blank
    iron ingot/button/iron ingot
    blank/white apricorn/blank
and that gives you 2 raw pokeballs which you cook in the furnace. The great ball could be,
    red dye/blue apricorn/red dye
    iron ingot/button/iron ingot
    blank/white apricorn/blank
and later on if net balls and such are added the recipe for the net ball at least could be,
    string/blue apricorn/string
    iron ingot/button/iron ingot
    string/white apricorn/string
Also you could mount certain pokemon that are big enough to ride on. and if its a bird pokemon when it learns fly you can well fly of course and surf on water pokemon. Surf when activated could make it so water is solid to that pokemon, so its not jumping its surfing, also surf and fly cut and all other hms could only be activated when you are riding the pokemon. That way you can't accidentally activate the move. Also maybe in order for you to be able to use a pc you must first designate a "ranch" area, so when you catch a pokemon and its sent to the pc it goes to the ranch area. Other wise when you start a new world you can still access the pokemon deposited in you previous world which kind of beats the "gotta catch 'em all" point of the game. Well that's all I've got for now.

That would only prove that we have sunk to their level. To truly combat spammers and trolls, we need intelligent posters who can engage and neutralize the threat they pose.

And by engage and neutralize, I mean use creepers and pokemon until they cannot move a muscle. A bit brutish, but still effective.

Maybe a way you could stop your "trolls" is kindly ask sea if he could post on the main page that there is going to be no update till 1.9 or later.
Because honestly not every one has as much time as you do to look through EVERY page on here to see if its mentioned.
And why bother even commenting on it, by acknowledging it you empower them. That and isn't this forum for idea's and saying great mod?
Not b****ing about how many people want 1.8.1, maybe just maybe people want it cause this mod is freaking awesome... See my reasoning?
From what I've seen on here no one cares about peoples ideas. Just the lines that say "1.8.1" some where in them. This should be a friendly
debate on what features should and shouldn't be included. And by saying stuff about the 1.8.1ers you are proving to the rest of the world
how childish and immature you really are.
Well that's enough hatin for today.
An idea for the moves (that is when there done) do basically what they did in the game and have set animations, maybe even scrap the current combat system (game wide)
and start from scratch. I know it's a LOT of work but if anyone could do it the pokemobs team could. I'm a bit disappointed about 1.8.1 but life go's on i guess. Oh well, great job guy's keep up the good work.

ahh the hunger bar is ok, everyone gets hungry (sarcastic voice) even people (sarcastic voice end) but i have to agree with you about the mobs, since when has there even been a creeper in pokemon (i would have ended creeper with a mon like creepermon but that would be digimon, since everthing ends in mon GO KABUTERIMON XD my fav)

Maybe instead of removing the original monsters. add some code to them so when they are attacked or go to attack they transform into a gastly, haunter, gangar or even a dito or anyother pokemon that transforms (naturally of course, not one that can learn the tm). ok now some of you pokefans out there are probably thinking "neither gastly, haunter or gangar know transform" i know this but in the pokemon series they can transform at will, because well there ghost pokemon.

I also think (regarding the poll) that pokemon should be directly controlled, that way its a bit more like the series, so you can actually dodge attacks etc.
A way you could do this, when you send out the pokemon your player becomes invincible. then you use one of the 4 attacks with left mouse button, the second with the right mouse button and the 3rd and 4th moves the same way but while holding shift or something like that.
or when you go into a battle you the enemy and both your pokemon could teleport to an arena based on what block you are standing on.

Another idea, possibly there could be a special pikachu that when caught doesn't go into its pokeball. So its like ash's pikachu, his texture could even have ash's hat on (so you can tell it apart). that and it shouldn't evolve... ever.... ok i think that's it.

Great mod. Can't wait for the 1.8.1 update, keep up the great work.

posted a message on 1.9 Ideas
I have a thought. Since the combat system is changing, maybe the weapons (the current ones) could have an upgrade and a few new things added.
Maybe you could sharpen sticks with flint for a starter weapon. Then when you find iron and refine it (iron ingots) you can craft them into sword blanks.
2 iron ingots one above the other.
Then you could take 3 sticks (and possibly iron rods?) and place them in the middle craft columns, then if you put an iron ingot in either top corner you could craft a hilt.
The hilt could be customizable further by adding other precious stones and minerals around it for a custom look.
Then you could take that to an anvil which could be used to craft tools bye adding the respective hilt/handle with its blank and that gives you a dull version of the item.
This is basically a weak version of the item, and you can sharpen it on a grinding wheel to get a sharp version. Then if you "break" the sharp item it turns into the dull one again.
But you could go one step further and diamond coat the sharp item to increase its strength dramatically.
And if you break a dull sword you get a hilt back, and with the other tools when you break them there could be a 5 or 10 percent chance of the handle breaking.
And you get the head back which you could craft into a tool again with the anvil.

I know its a pretty major overhaul, but you guys are pretty talented and i recon yous could do it.

Another thing, maybe an electric furnace? But since it needs practically no fuel make it out of diamonds or something really hard to come bye.
Or even a station block/rail that when un-powered "catches" minecarts, and when power "launches" them.

Well thats pretty much all i can think of at the moment, great game so far guys. I think this game alone is going to be big, but the extreme mod-ability of it is amazing.
