Where is your traffic coming from? I've noticed that on both PMC and Curse you are getting thousands of downloads a day... Yet, I can find no source what so ever for the traffic?
You're doing good work, it just seems very strange your back can blow-past *every* pack on both sites so quickly when I can't even find where the exposure is coming from?
It's just odd, that since November you've managed to get to about 2,500 downloads a day?

I am using MCpatcher, By without I meant with MCpatcher.
Anyway, This is a great texture and I hope youll get more items and block out!
Oh, if you do have MCPatcher and Optifine working together you should just get a FPS boost from optifine.
I'm hoping to finish /blocks/ somewhat soon because there isnt all that much left in there, then I'll be focusing on /items/ (and possibly start mobs too at that time).

There's no difference with or without Optifine other than both ways are wrong, but you should be using MCPatcher.

The above may sound worse, but it's actually no different with the sounds you're wanting to share, they are just as much owned by their respected companies as the entire game(s) themselves. You have no rights to redistro them unless the company expresses that you can, period.
The reality is most places probably won't kill your download off for just a sound pack, assuming it isn't copyrighted music. Typically game sound effect packs get away with it. But technically it is a still a violation of the rules (even here on MCForums). Chances are you won't find any decent place to post a sound pack of stolen sounds without the risk of it being taken down. For example, if you posted your sound pack here, and someone reported you, I as a mod would have no other choice but to remove it regardless that you really intended no harm.

Careful with this; artists shouldn't be working on other people's work without the original authors permission, even if it's just for your server. The artist would still be redistributing work that was not originally his. It would be no different than stealing someone's textures and posting them here on MCForums or PMC. :/

Yes, MCPatcher is required. Optifine will not work. If you can't use MCPatcher you'll have to use SixtyGig Light. But you should do everything in your power to avoid that.
Dec 29, 2013That PSD I made (and another one I made specifically for standard CTM) has been a lifesaver for me, I can save whole batches of random files at once without breaking them up manually 1 by 1. It's a shame you can't use it in GIMP, GIMP is pretty good about converting most of the PSD file format into something GIMP can use.Posted in: Resource Pack Discussion

I draw all 9 of my textures on a single image, and have a splice took that breaks it up into 9 files, so when I use "Save For Web" is saves it as 9 random tiles numbered 0-8. The same method can be used for any images, of any sizes. I have one that also outputs standard CTM files as well.
I *think* the splices convert over in GIMP too so you should be able to open my 3x3 splicer. Here's the splice maker for photoshop, simply drag a 3x3 "grid" of 64x64 textures into it and it'll cut it into 9 files when you use Save For Web.
Not exactly what you want, but it might get you on the right track to figure out how to make your own.

I hope these new changes don't totally change the seed like we saw between 1.7 -> 1.8 -> 1.9PR -> 1.0.
While the changes we used to see from the introduction of survival to 1.7.2 were fine, you can't expect us admins to keep up with all these full-on biome/seed changes. This is getting stupid.
If these new changes only change/tweak the existing terrain, fine. If they *totally* change seeds again like we saw between 1.7 -> 1.8 and even 1.8 -> 1.9PR where nothing major changed but the whole map was different, I will be furious.
You. Need. To. Stop. F**king. With. The. Terrain. PLEASE Add more terrain options, but stop screwing with the defaults. I have no problem with adding some flowers, or minor tweaks, like tall grass and pumpkins. But us server admins seriously need some stability.
Add all the other generators you want (IE Flatmap) but PLEASE finalize the default generator and STOP touching it.. or at the very least, leave the old generators intact so we don't have funky borders on old seeds.
