The game keeps freezing for a few seconds and it'll occasionally lag. The only thing that seems to kinda fix it is having a really, really low render distance but my PC should definitely be able to handle more than freaking 5 chunks...
Also, no other game lags for me really, so I doubt it's a virus.
That is where you're wrong Badprenup, the most fun element of Minecraft is micromanaging things like farms and grinders, so having to maintain another bar should be just as fun.
Did you just say he's wrong for having a different opinion on what is considered fun? It's a subjective opinion, it's not a fact whether anything is fun or not.
With that said, his point is that most people wont really care for it, and I agree with that.
I think they were an awesome concept, but executed poorly. The horses from the Mo Creatures mod control well, the ones from vanilla do not. If there was maybe a way to make them run at a slower pace (like by holding down a key to make them walk or trot), that'd make a big difference.
I did read the posts, I think and maybe aren't exactly solid responses. The optifine thing is irrelevant its simply a way to improve the games graphics performance, and if you have had the prerelease and taking a look at the FPS you would know that they did just that. So it would seem that their being denied use of optifine didn't matter since its was made for Minecraft the just took it, like you said though I just believe what I want and I believe the evidence.
A side note, just because they tell us who originally made it isn't any kind of justification. For example if I said that I made the light bulb you would call me out on it knowing that it wasn't because its common knowledge. Their just using crediting the real developer as camoflauge in the end players believe that Mojang made it because its in vanilla.
Um, have you ever used Optifine? It helps performance because it gives you a ton of options in the settings. Options that 1.8 doesn't have at all. =/ Just because 1.8 added a couple more options to the game that help performance, which I'm pretty sure Optifine doesn't even have, that doesn't mean they took it straight from the mod.
Honestly, you're just reading what you want to read and justifying it poorly.
Well I guess that my project is ending. I am not going to spend time on something just to have it shut down and taken from me. I understand that legally they are allowed to do this but morally it doesn't sit well with me. If they want some ones project then they can pay them for their time as if they were part of the team. Can't blame them for having this kind of business plan though I mean its like step 1 make a creative and original sandbox game the is easily modded, step 2 take they player created mods as our own content, step 3 flip them the bird. Seems like a bullet proof plan.... good bye Minecraft hope others catch on.
Um, I don't think you've fully read the posts. :l They asked the guys who made Optifine if they can add the mod to their game, and they refused. So it's not in the game. They work with the modders if they want a mod added to the game. Like literally almost every post here is telling you they'd ask first.
But apparently you'll only read what you wanted to read. Go ahead and leave for absolutely no good reason when people are telling you the opposite of what you chose to believe.
we made this game big - not mojang, it was the community who spend there time to write mods - vanilla minecraft is just boring and no one will make a "minecon" for it. mojang get enough money from game sales, fan stuff and other promo - notch reach what a lot of ppl want - but he cant just be glad.
the other point - why do parents think, that they didnt have to watch after there children, that they dont steal there creditcards - and - have the right to flame someone at the end? its just stupid.
What in the world are you going on about right now? Those points make absolutely no sense as to why there should be a cape mod. The second paragraph in particular makes me wonder if you're somehow accidentally posting in the wrong thread. :l
Their hopping is really ugly now. And they could have at least kept the hopping away if you got close.
Basically, now they might as well be pigs. The only reason to hunt them now is for their food.
I don't know about how they hop around as I haven't been playing the snapshots, but I'm glad they no longer follow you. I really want pet rabbits that'll move around their future home, rather than sitting still in one spot like the cats and dogs. It's so boring having pets that just sit there like objects.
Honestly I really wish there was an item that allows pets to just run around the area freely. >_> I don't know hwy that isn't a thing.
Today something really wierd happened on my singleplayer server. I \was being a hunter, and I hovered my mouse over a bunny and it said "entity.KillerBunny.exe", Is this a joke or has something happened?
If you don't mind me asking, what in the world do you mean by "I was being a hunter"? Is that part of a mod or something? I'm curious.
Minecraft is a pay once and play forever game. You do not need to pay to update the game. Can you please tell me more about your upgrade/update confusion? Like, where does it pop up and stuff. Thanks
Pretty sure he's referring to the Mojang account. It becomes 'premium' when you buy the game.
Go fishing... Computer game isn't the best way how to spend time with your dad...
Um, what exactly is wrong with playing games with your family exactly...? Honestly, I can't stand it when people actually act as if video games are a lesser form of entertainment among other things. You'd might as well say board games are a terrible way to spend time with your family as well with that kind of thinking.

I really want to make a Youtube channel dedicated to making music videos for games (I've researched quite a bit on how to avoid the copyright infringement craziness as well as found some great CC songs I can use). This might sound silly, but I think I want my first video to be an action/adventure (more or less adventure with action scenes) style Minecraft video. I would also like to center it on one world and perhaps turn that world into a series of videos.
What modpacks (or individual mods) would you guys recommend for that? Because I'd like to stick to one world for this and progress over-time with a long series of videos, I need mods that also add a lot of in-depth gameplay (like ThuamCraft with it's research system for example).
And to be clear, I'm not interested in making machinma. I want to incorporate gameplay and cutscenes (for games that have cutscenes at least) in my videos with minimal added effects. I'll have to do a lot of prep recording to get enough good scenes for the types of songs I want to use (which are pretty fast paced), but it should be worth it in the end. c:

My specs:
nvidia 660 gtx ti
8 GB of ram
Intel Core i5 Processor (4 cores) 3.20 GHZ
500 GB hard drive
My JVM Arguments:
-Xmx4g -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+CMSIncrementalMode -XX:-UseAdaptiveSizePolicy -Xmn4g
I changed xmx and xmn because that allocates more RAM, right? Maybe I did it wrong somehow...?

Um, there's absolutely no such thing as 'beating' Minecraft. The game never ends. The ender dragon is more for fluff than anything else.
