Guys, this mod is officially dead. I have been pm'ing the modder for some time, and he has officially stated the death of this mod. If someone wants to pick this mod up, it is still on GitHub.

i kinda assumed it was dead a while back.

    Quote from Glenn»

Hey, sorry that you had to go through the trouble of searching for a piece of documentation that I had forgotten to make. There is no documentation on the subject at all and I had completely forgotten how it works. Here's the jist of it.

Here's an example of a configuration that adds a recipe to smelt a stack of coal to a diamond, and a diamond to a stack of coal (coal to diamond is already in Glenn's Gases). It follows the JSON syntax we all know and love/hate.
time is 200 by default, which is a normal furnace recipe. The actual time it takes depends on the current smelting speed of the Gas Furnace, of course.
Both input and output are item representations, meaning they have a name, an amount (1 by default) and metadata (0 by default, not shown in example). In retrospect, the metadata is a little unfortunate since there is no way to specify smelting of an item where metadata is ignored (the ore dictionary wildcard value is unfortunately ignored).

I have made a improvement to the metadata handling, but it's up to Trent to push a new update that adds the improvement.

gg glenn for forgetting how something you made work lol.

Well you will need something like a cauldron server to run the plugins/mods. (Host it on your pc and using localhost as the ip is fastest/easiest way to go about it.) And don't add plugins to forge since forge deals with mods not plugins.

cause some time when playing with other players you need to take away things you don't want them to use....

Kaisoul more or less says it. But I am making a modpack and I don't really want players to use wooden tool heads as opposed to flint or something better.

I believe there is a rule stating waiting 12 hours to bump clearly stated here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/support/unmodified-minecraft-client/2601560-support-rules

Also confirm what mods are in your client and make sure they are all up to date

Do you have a crash report? (look inside of the profile folder and there should be a crash report folder. In that folder will have the crash reports which will help more than what you posted.)

What you should do is run a server on your computer which is like cauldron and add the plugins that way to allow you to use them, otherwise you can't run them (I find it strange that you were able to run them when they were in client either way though)

Is it possible to add this to a server that's already in progress? I'm having trouble getting this to work, and I'm hoping it's not because I just happened to forget to include it in the first place and now I'm screwed. I was hoping I could add it and it'll just start affecting the chunks no one has loaded yet.

it should allow you to, is it crashing server?

Ravin8901 posted a message on Will Someone Make a Poisonous Gas Mod Already!? (it should say 1.10.2)
    Quote from Keybounce»

You might want to look at "Harder Underground". It has a flammable gas, that comes in a dense and light variety.

During worldgen, it places dense gas in veins; when these run into caves, etc, it turns into the light variety, and floats up.

It's not poisonous, but it does cause you "lack of air" suffocation, and it catches on fire, and explodes when on fire.

Current status: 1.7.10 is released; 1.10.2 is waiting for two forge pull requests to go in.

Well when 1.9+ version is released then it can work for here, but otherwise it doesn't fulfill the need

Ravin8901 posted a message on Snapshot 16w20a Ready For Testing!

I think I am only person who is not that hyped with new stuff being added. Main reason is that half of these could easily be added to 1.9 via mods and they don't really add too much to MC. Yes the blocks are nice and what not as well as the mobs but hopefully there are more things that are worth while being added.

I am amazed that there are no hater comments. But this does seem interesting. you could very easily program it to do some small tasks and add a sort of companionship with it or something, or worst case senario you can make it into your slave to do menial labor for you.
