Personally, I think you should release this mod as an opensource project so people can port it and update it for you when your team isn't available. Second, if you're ok with it, I could give a shot at porting this mod to 1.7 once modding on 1.7 is a bit less of a mess.

It would be up to TechGuy to release any sort of coding or source or anything like that. He is the one who actually brought my ideas to life :P. However, I will support anyone who wishes to use my ideas in a 1.7 mod, I'd love to have some more undead threats back in my Minecraft world!

Mr.Compost and I became relatively good friends, and he showed a lot of ambition for this project. I don't believe he would abandon it without reason, and haven't heard from him in a long time. I hope everything is alright with him.

Hello to anyone still keeping tabs on this project. First I want to apologize for being so inactive, and secondly I want to thank everyone who has helped and shown support for this mod. I have been, and will continue to be very busy. However, I am interested in a "revival" (hahaha) of this mod. If anyone in still interested or is willing to help, please let me know.

Excuse me if I missed something in the topic, but I would like to make a few suggestions. Feel free to ignore them if you said not to. If that is the case, as already stated, I must have missed or misread something. I apologize if this occurs.

    Scarecrow

    - The Scarecrow spawns in Plains, Forest, and Taiga biomes, as well as relatively flat areas in the Grave Dimension. It is three blocks tall, has a pumpkin for a head, and wears a worn black cloak. It's body is composed wooden stakes in a T shape, the arms attached to the top part of the T. Hay appears to be hanging out in some areas of the cloak. It only spawns above ground. At night, it's head becomes a Jack-O-Lantern, and the face is visible from afar, like a spider, widower, or enderman. It is able to move freely, and is pretty quick. It regens health at night, and has high health to begin with. It floats above the ground, but does not fly. Upon death, it drops wheat, sticks, and pumpkin seeds, as well as pumpkins being rare drops. During the day, it freezes, and it's head becomes a pumpkin again. Now, it can only move if you are not looking at it. If you would like to make it easier to code, make it become neutral when frozen instead.
    Vampire Bats

These are practically just hostile bats that spawn mainly in caves but still above ground. Not much else to say except they don't burn in daylight.
    Shadow

Though this sounds like a mob, it is actually a liquid. It would spawn in the Grave Dimension, and does not affect undead or poisonous mobs. All other mobs get slowness and wither if they fall in. It is a swirly black and purple substance and can be picked up in buckets.
    Man Eating Trees

Self Explanatory. A neutral "tree" that spawns randomly in forest biomes. Use your own creativity in this one. I don't want to decide everything about your mod.
    Poltergeist

This one is essentially just a blaze that spawns in the overworld. It burns during the day, and spawns pretty much anywhere. It throws random objects at you, and is slightly transparent. Instead of rods flying around it, random debris replaces them. Clearly, it does not produce fire or smoke. If possible, the debris texture should match it's surroundings, such as leaves in forests or ice in snow biomes.
    Aquatic Monsters

Personally, I can't come up with much for these. But based off of how creative you have proven you are, I'm sure you could do it quite easily.
    Ender Guardian

ONLY spawn in the Ender. They spawn around Obsidian Pillars. Imagine an(now don't freak out) an Enderman with six legs, only a little shorter. The body stops midway and sort of opens up like a bowl. Floating above this "bowl" is a flameless ender crystal without bedrock. When the Enderdragon comes close to it, it does the laser thing to heal it, but it is much weaker compared to a normal Endercrystal and has a decreased range. They attack by chasing after the player and firing ender pearl projectiles at them. They explode like a creeper upon death and drop Eye of Enders. There health is less than an Enderman but more than a Creeper.
    Miscellaneous

-Skeletons that spawn with swords in the overworld. Wither Skeletons spawn in the Nether.
    -Thinkers can climb ladders.
-Enchantment Compatibilty(Smite hurts undead, Bane of Arthro. Hurts bugs)
-Bosses?(Joking! I am not requesting this, but feel free to do it I guess)
    -Tamable Widowers
Obviously, I do not expect you to implement these at all because it is up to you to even read them. Also, if you do read and like them, I do not expect them in the upcoming update either.

These are also many great ideas! However, we have decided to work on perfecting our current ideas and code before moving onto new ideas. In addition, I do not feel as if some of these ideas fit my image for this mod, but they are all great ideas. If we do add anything soon, It may be a simple Vampire Bat that spawns in the Grave dimension or a Blood Bat that spawns in the nether.

And here is another great mod to be added to my personal modpack. I will not reproduce it in any way. By the way, I couldn't help but notice in the changelog you said the grave biome will be the main biome of the Grave Dimension. Are you suggesting there will be more? I can just imagine: Shadow Swamps, Cursed Oceans, etc. Also, you removed the skeleton warrior. Are you making it so skeletons have a chance of spawning with swords instead of bows? That would be awesome.

More biomes is a great idea that I have not thought about, I will look into it! :D The skeleton warrior is similar to the Wither Skeleton, so I do not see a point in having it anymore.
Thank you all for your feedback! I forgot that the tag is old, and will fix it right now!

Hey, thank you so much for updating. For a while there I thought this was going to go under but you guys managed to pull through. I have been a fan of this for quite some time and am glad to have it back in my minecraft world. I hope you guys can continue to make this awesome mod!

Thank you very much for the quick response. We love to hear that people enjoy our mod. Our coders are still hard at work fixing bugs and finalizing the next release. Hopefully we will then move out of WIP into the full mods section. There's plenty of ideas for the next update and we hope you all enjoy it!

I was looking at the wiki for this mod and it's a shame you guys removed The Vampire, Jag, and Cerberus. They sounded really cool
Yeah, unfortunately we had to remove many great ideas so we can focus on creating an organized release. I will try to fill the wiki once we have a some-what finished version out. We should be releasing a v1.0 shortly after minecraft 1.4 is released.

I would like to make a special thanks to Mr.Compost, who has supplied amazing ideas and helped greatly with this mod! He has formed his own modding team called "Angry Pixel" and they are creating some awesome mods! If you guys haven't heard of them, then crawl out from under that rock and check them out!

I'd like to help too, if its not too late!

    ~IGN: Crontic
    ~Age: 14
~Texturing Experience: I have textured since 2009, and I used to have a 32x32 res texturepack that was discarded.
~Modelling Experience: I have modelled with techne since late 2011, and I am fairly good at it :)
~Why me: Because I am a deticated user that would like to help develop your mod!

I'm sorry, we are not accepting help at this time.Thank you all for keeping up with this mod so far, I know it has been a long time since an update. Some personal problems have kept me away from this project for some time, but I am still working on it. The little free time I have had was spent organizing ideas for this, and admittedly playing Borderlands 2. Please stay tuned for a little while longer, the update is almost ready. Hopefully we will have a polished version ready for Halloween.

Whats the grave dimension going to be like? is it just an oversized grave biome? is there going to be anything truly uniqe there that you cant find in the over world? what are you overall plans for that place and its features?

The Grave dimension will consist of dangerous mobs, unique ores, and haunting structures.

Are you open to suggestions? If so, maybe a corruption system?

So, if you use the summoning table too much, you turn into an undead. Your model might change, you could get new perks and vulnerabilities, and whatnot.

Also, I made a model today, to see if anyone wanted it. It's a lich, and I intended it for the More Player Models, but got rejected. If you want it...

We are open to suggestions, but at this point adding a whole new "corruption" system would be too much. However, maybe we will make it so that using the summoning table gives you the wither effect in future releases.

I love your lich model, we have a lich planned when we get the coding for it done, and yours looks better than my model. IF we get the coding done, I would love to use that. The book is very creative but I would rather edit it out and have him hold the necronomicon, with your permission.

Okay, I'll try making one. no promises though. Can't wait to see what you come out with next, oh by the way are you gonna remove knights since zombies now spawn with armor anyway?

No, currently the armored zombies do not have any higher stats than unarmed zombies, so a knight is still somewhat unique. However, we may rename it. On a similar note, we will probably remove skeleton warriors once wither skeletons are fully released. ( 1.4 )

As a general announcement about upcoming events, I am hoping to do something special for Halloween, although i'm not sure what.

Quite a bit! :) We are working on a public test version of a HUGE update! I sent 2 of my own castle/fort designs to Techguy, I think if you could build one really big nice one, that would be awesome!

I've added a poll. We are working to wrap up this mod, and we'd love to hear what you guys think it needs before it's done. We do not currently have a public test version of the dimension, but we are working on it. What do you guys want to see added?
