Mar 30, 2013Sorry I haven't posted. I've had to prepare the place for Easter for my nieces. I should be able to get a post in either tomorrow or Monday. May I get a quick recap as to what's happened?Posted in: Forum Roleplaying
Mar 27, 2013Elva smiled and picked up a tray for herself. She put a couple of slices of bacon on it, along with some eggs and two cartons of milk. She noticed that the guy she saw earlier in line at the receptionist's desk was only a table away and talking with an exotic-looking girl with scaly skin. The elf sat across from Genie and began eating a slice of bacon. She didn't realize how hungry she was until now.Posted in: Forum Roleplaying
Mar 27, 2013((Since we're all congregating at the cafe, that would be a good place to head =D))Posted in: Forum Roleplaying
Elva nodded as she listened to Genie. "So you're a Nature user? My father is one, too." They turned a corner and the cafeteria was in view. "I'm a summoner myself. But the way I use it is...a little unconventional." They entered the cafeteria, and the smell of freshly prepared food overwhelmed Elva. Her stomach growled again. She spotted the pan full of bacon and thanked any gods she could think of that it was still full.
"Ready to dig in?" she asked Genie with a smirk.
Mar 27, 2013"Breakfast sounds amazing right now." Elva's stomach agreed by growling loudly. "I'm Elva." The elf giggled at her next comment. "I was just about to do the same thing after I got this map." Glancing at the piece of paper, she tried to memorize where the cafeteria was and began walking down the hall, leading the way.Posted in: Forum Roleplaying
"So what brings you to this city-of-a-school?" Elva adjusted the strap of her satchel, putting it in a more comfortable position.
Mar 27, 2013((Heh. Had to run some emergency errands.))Posted in: Forum Roleplaying
Elva received a map from the receptionist and thanked her for it. It showed just how big the campus was. Wow, she thought. Just as she turned away from the desk, a girl with a gorgeous sundress and pinned up brown hair asked if the elf knew her way around.
"I'm afraid not," Elva replied, smiling apologetically. "But I just got this map from the front desk, so that should help. What do you need to know?" It was finally her chance at meeting someone new in this place, and she wanted to be as polite as possible.
Mar 27, 2013Elva arrived by car to the front of the university. She looked out the window and sighed. She had missed the first day, and thought she was going to get in trouble for being so late. I just hope no one notices, she thought. Getting out of the car, the driver-her mother- popped the truck and took out her luggage. She wore a simple blue-striped pull-over hoodie with dark jeans and a pair of black Converse.Posted in: Forum Roleplaying
“Be good and don't over-exert yourself with your magic,” her mother said as she kissed Elva on the forehead.
“I won't. Thanks, Mom!” Elva hugged her goodbye and watched as the car drove off. She turned toward the large open gates and swallowed hard. Walking past them, she saw that the whole campus was huge. They weren't lying when they said this place had everything. The elf tucked her raven hair behind her ear and walked toward the main building.
Once inside, she asked the receptionist where her room was. “You're late,” the woman responded, raising an eyebrow. Elva's cheeks reddened. “It's okay, dear. Happens all the time. You're room is in the Light dorm. Room 6A. Have a nice day!” The receptionist handed the elf her door key. Elva thanked her and quickly left the main building and practically ran to the light dorm. She had been a little embarrassed but that didn't stop herself from being excited to finally get her room.
She noticed that the sunlight shined a little brighter over the dorm building. Finding her room was simple, and she unlocked the door and quickly scanned the room with her cat-like eyes. She had a room to herself! The room was pretty plain, having only the essentials, but that's why there was shopping complex on campus. Elva placed her luggage on her bed and fished out her brown leather satchel. It contained her sketchbook and a few writing utensils. She also put on her locket, which had a picture of her mother inside.
Elva quickly headed back outside to the campus, doubling back to her room only to lock the door. Outside, she breathed in the fresh air and felt ready to take on the world. She had the idea that most of the excitement of the university may be toward the main building, so she began walking to it.
Inside, she thought the same receptionist should have some kind of pamphlet about the campus so she strolled over to her. But there was a young man talking to her. Elva planted herself behind him, hoping that it wouldn't take long for her to get to the receptionist.
Mar 24, 2013Don't worry. She loves using felines, and maybe a wolf in the mix, because they are her favorite and she had practice with them. She has to learn how to draw the creature in detail to use it in an effective manner, so there won't be any bears or dragons for a looooong time.Posted in: Forum Roleplaying
Anyway, thanks for accepting me! I'll post in the morning (or whenever I get the time). For now I am off to bed.
Mar 24, 2013Ok finally decided to man-up and join in. I'm a little rusty so bear with me . And I hope her ability isn't too OP. I tried fleshing it out as much as possible. If you need anything changed just let me know. I usually get on in the afternoons EST time.Posted in: Forum Roleplaying
Bio: Elva discovered her powers the first time she drew a somewhat detailed mouse at the age of 12. Her talents were passed through her genes, as her mother was an accomplished artist and summoner, though she never had the strange ability her daughter possessed. Her mother had spread all her knowledge to Elva when she was first able to pick up a pencil. The first time she summoned the mouse, she noticed that it's pupils were missing and that it looked gangly. But it only appeared for a few seconds before going back into the paper and draining a tremendous amount of energy out of the young elf.
Over the years, she had found a tutor who specialized in summoning and learned some tricks from him. She also continued her lessons with her mother. She discovered that the more detailed the drawing was, the more intelligent the creature was. Her tutor was only able to teach her to summon one creature for an extended period of time. That was all she needed. Her favorite drawing, a Maine **** she named Solembum, became her constant companion. The tutor recommended her to Trinity Soul University when he could teach her no more.
What Element/and or type of magic: Summoning magic; She has the ability to summon the drawings in her sketch book. She can only summon one at a time, and they can only stay summoned for about an hour before she grows physically weak. She usually returns them before that happens though, at the half-hour mark. Her summonings are mostly her favorite felines, since she has had practice drawing them the most. If she has had more practice summoning a drawing, that drawing will cost less magic to initially summon and maintain. Of course, the only one she has ever summoned a good deal would be Solembum. Otherwise she wouldn't be going to this school.
The more detailed drawings look like their real-life counterparts, except their eyes lack pupils and are a bright gold. They are also very intelligent, and are able to understand her commands and even deviate from them and do their own things if they choose. The less detailed ones look...well...strange and unnatural. They are less intelligent, and obey every order given to a tee. They are also less taxing to summon, so she only summons the detailed drawings in a pinch.
Luggage: bunch of extra clothes, a locket with her mother's picture in it, her sketchbook, a bunch of writing utensils, and a satchel to carry said utensils and sketchbook.
Raven-haired, angular green eyes with cat-like pupils, and tanned skin. Her angular facial features give her a strange and exotic look. She is 5' 6”, a little short for an elf, but her lithe body makes her look slightly taller from far away.
Why did you come to the University?: To learn more about her ability, to see if others have something similar, and to better control it.
Personality: Caring and affectionate. She loves her friends and will always stand up for them. She can get a little cocky at times, especially when it comes to her artistic abilities. She's a bit of a tomboy and hates the thought of wearing skirts and dresses. She's also impatient and impulsive. She absolutely loves reading, and is very creative when it comes to writing her own stories.
Other: I have read the rules and will abide by them, or an ogre will come after me and eat my head. And yes, I love the Inheritance Cycle. xP
Suggestions: none that I can think of at this moment
Feb 4, 2013Heh. This made my day a little. Empty threats like this are the most entertaining.Posted in: Forum Discussion & Info
*angry face* Give me a tag related to my name or you shall suffer by the paws of my cute kitty army!
This would have made a better threat. No one wants to mess with a cute kitty army.

Feb 29, 2012The Active Topic block is NOT THE SAME! The previous Recent Topics block showed new topics that were just posted! That's what I liked about it! I don't want to see every little post that has been made in a 16k-post thread! I want to see new topics, like the old block. It was easier to see who needed help, which was why I lurked on it the most.Posted in: News
I don't mean to sound desperate or anything. I jsut reaaaally miss that thing... :C
