Following these steps should let you play mods on a 10.5.X Mac.
NOTE: Make a back up of any files that will be used just as a precaution.
Instructions:
First off make sure you have Java 6 downloaded. (Do a software update if you haven't done one in a while)
Go to your Minecraft app, right click and choose "Show Package Contents".
Next open the contents folder and open "Info.Plist".
Once it's open look for the line that says
<key>JVMVersion</key>
<string>1.5+</string>
Once you have found it change the 5 in 1.5 to a 6 and then save and exit.
Once done with that open a new finder window and go to Mac > System > Library > Frameworks > JavaVM.framework > Resources > Mac OS and then copy the file named "JavaApplicationStub".
Now go back to the contents folder and go into the "MacOS" folder there and paste "JavaApplicationStub".
Next search "Java Preferences" in finder.
Open Java Preferences.
In the "General" tab there should be a list of the Java versions you have. If "Java SE 6" isn't on the top of the list then drag it to the top.
Mods should now work with minecraft.
EDIT: I'm not actually sure this will still work since Minecraft has been updated a bunch but it's still worth a try. Make sure you back up files though.
Okay so I have been having a weird problem with Minecraft and iTunes recently. While playing on Minecraft, iTunes seems to randomly open. I have no idea why. It only happens when I'm on SMP, I don't recall it happening on Single Player. It's not too big of a problem but it's just kind of odd and it makes my computer lag. Anyone else experiencing this? :S
If you read any of this thread you can easily get an answer to that. But since I know reading a few posts is hard so I will answer your question for you: Yes this is compatible with Mo' Creatures.

1. Did you delete the Mojang_C files in the META-INF Folder?
2. Are you using the correct version of the mod for your version of Minecraft?
3. What version Mac are you on? (Leopard, 10.5.X, or Snow Leopard, 10.6.X?)
How have I not seen this before!? Very very good job. I love my new pet Tortoise. :biggrin.gif:
Do you have any plans for what to make after the troll? I would really like to see a monkey mob. Loads of monkeys jumping around on top of trees... That would be great. :tongue.gif:
Also make sure you are using the correct version of the mod. The download on the first page will not work with Beta. There is an unofficial download on the last page of the thread that should work with beta though.

Find some more photos here. Only posted two to prevent a super long post.
Coordinates for the area are around X:-663 Y:71 Z:178. You may have to walk a bit to get to it. :tongue.gif:
As I was typing this I did a little bit more exploring around that area and I found even more cool stuff. It's definitely worth the trip.

This mod works perfectly fine without sounds and it's not that big of a deal but it would be nice to have them. :/
