They're glitchy, sometime save-corruptingly so.
They can't be modded, patched or re-textured in most cases.
Plus, I think enough people here suffered from the glitchyness of the Beta 1.8 pre-releases enough to never do it again.

Worth the wait.

Allow the player to walk through the body parts without being pushed all the hell around, like passive mobs.
Oh... and Creepers should still release smoke particles when they die, along with the gibs.

F***! >
Forge breaks all of my favorite mods, and yet I want to add this one!
Why does this happen every time!?
I blame Forge, for being [profanity="shit"]ty.

If this texture pack has met its end, I'd like to hear it from the author himself. I think I'd be fine with it being stopped but not with it being... lost.

Minecraft mods work the same on both platforms, you just have to locate your Minecraft folder (.minecraft folder on Windows) which is under [hard drive name here]/Users/[username here]/Library/Application Support/ . (If your library folder is invisible, just google instructions to reveal it.) From there, installation is the same. (MCPatcher for anything in-.jar, minecraft/mods folder for everything Modloader loaded (like Rei's Minimap).

I agree about the sounds for picking up/putting down items based on what material they're made of, but the rest seems more like it should be done by a different mod entirely.

Open the minimap menu, then click "Waypoints", click "Remove", click the death point you want to remove, then click "X".

Sorry for tasking so long to get back to you; I never check the forums...
Anyway, this occurs randomly (though weather seems to much hasten its onset) and once it starts it slowly affects more and more sounds. Some play the wrong sounds, some stop altogether. And this is not limited to MAtmos' sounds, it affects defaults too.
Here's my setup.
Modloader, Optifine, PlayerAPI, Smart Movement.
I use other mods as well but I've been getting this problem for as long as I've been using MAtmos, and these are the only mods that I could have possible been using then.
Of course, it could also be my system. I'm on a Mac running OS X 10.7.4 (Lion) and while I don't know the specifics of my APU, the auto-diagnostic says it is an Intel HD audio system with "Audio-ID 65".
And although I haven't tested to see for sure if this glitch happens while MAtmos is disabled, I know it doesn't happen when it isn't installed.
Please help! I can't stand the silence! *Suffocates in the Default's silence*

I'm not sure I can use the original zips, they're automatically decompiled on download. But the point is, it doesn't make hidden directories or files of any consequence and I use this same exact method on all of my other mods with no problems.

It almost seems to be saying there's something wrong with the zip, but that makes no sense because I compiled it exactly the same as all the others. I'm eyeballin' that funky directory... (__MACOSX/._aow.class) It doesn't make sense, that directory can't exist...

I have this same issue with the latest stable build.
How exactly does an incompatibility like this even exist?
This must be corrected ASAP,

My excitement about this update has just been jimmy-rustled.
I may have to turn around and un-install it. T_T
