You must remember Nintendo is very crafty.They do not only make games,they make game consoles.
One of the advantage of cartridge basted system is,the cartridge can be used for a lot more then just storing the game data,it can "act" as added hardware,Nintendo has done this before with SNES(Super FX chip).
In short,the cartridge could be used as extra RAM.
If your looking for HD texture packs,or better then vanilla ones.there are 3 what I have found:
SummerFields: It has BTW "support" but no Buildcraft "support",the easyst fix for that,using the Sphax PureBDcraft Buildcraft "patch" not that hard to find, just have to hunt around their site a little. . .Sphax "patch" kinda matches up with SummerFields.
Sphax PureBDcraft: Well like SummerFields its missing something,it has a BTW "patch" but its not yet finished, quick fix, just use the SummerFields BTW "support".
Dokucraft the saga continues:Thanks to the all the people working on it,it has all most everything. Just use the customiser to get your BTW textures(You will have to add the "icons" for all the refined tools and weapons) and to get the Buildcraft textures just download xXltrooperlXx's Buildcraft Technic Pack support.

I really can't stand the vanilla textures makes. . .my eyes bleed. . .sooo I hope my very long and poorly written post saves somebodies eyes form the horrors of looking at that dreadful vanilla textures well farming(?) away for hours in BTB. . .
:unsure.gif: Feels like the wrong place to ask this,but anyway here it goes. . . :dry.gif:( I bet this is where my English skill dies) How can I get an HD texture pack to work with BTB?(Seems BTB is not compatible with HD texture fix)
And are there any texture packs that are compatible :unsure.gif: or made for BTB?
Oh and by the way rhacer,you need an iron pick or better to "drop" an engine block
