No mention of fixing the zombie spawning bug, and the nerfs and lack of crafting recipes are as nofunallowed as ever. Meh.

Start keeping a physical notebook of server IPs, or drink some fish oil, your memory needs some work. I write down coords when I'm not using a map mod or in case the mod loses the waypoints.

Don't care about placement on ceilings personally, that's what slabs are for, I would've rather had wool slabs, but the lighting engine already makes slabs horrible to use.

IMO -they should have been made to stack like snow blocks-.

Complaint 2: Because when else do you use the golden apple? Before you only needed one gold bar and an apple. Which was overpowered. You only need 2 villagers by the way to start an entire village.
Complaint 3: That's being fixed in 1.6.2. Though it should've been there in the first place.
Complaint 4: Leads are craftable. Also the horse armor is better in generated chests.
Complaint 5: They were craftable but Mojang changed their mind and made them just their regular saddles. Which is understandable because horses are worth the search for saddles (Saddles are pretty common in dungeons too).
Complaint 6: It's just a chest. Just 8 wood blocks to make one.
Complaint 7: And how is having smooth colored blocks a bad thing?
    [..]

    >when else do you use it
    >golden apple was OP
And now it's not worth crafting. It was changed to cater to XxXU1TR4H4RDC0R3XxX kiddies, as a casual Minecrafter I do not appreciate this change at all. The only real change is the amount of time you'll need to grind for it, pure tedium, so I just won't bother.

    >search for horse items
'Adventure' is the most awful part of Minecraft, it's a lifeless, mundane and repetitive world esp. with the new terrain generation, holding LMB at y50 to hit dungeons is even more of a bore, I'd pop on an XRAY personally, if I ever went seriously hunting for nametags or horse armor. A big problem IMO, is in servers with a limited map size they (name tags and horse armor) are nonrenewable, once the map is pillaged people will be charging an arm and a leg for either. However, IIRC saddles can be bought from villagers so they are renewable. Horses aren't even worth the search or trade for saddles though IMO, because they can't swim (Mojang can't into realism), and there's no real point in using them to explore, as per my first sentence "the most awful part [...]"

    >it's just a chest
It's just an inexcusable bug. I don't give 2 sticks about the cost of the chest. If I want my donkeys to be pristine in a nice build it's 16 gold a pop to kill any that have chests to get rid of the black sheep.

    >how is smooth coloured blocks a bad thing
It's a gimmick, and I tested the carpets and was less than impressed, snow piles are still more versatile for building than slabs or carpets, albiet they need a block under them.

The crafting recipes for the horse armor and saddle were intentionally removed to encourage exploration. The launcher is better than the old one in every way aside from aesthetics, which will be addressed after it's at full functionality, so I'd say there was infact work put into it.

    >feature absence to encourage a certain style of play
The definition of poor game design.

Apples are now nerfed, regen is now nerfeed, armor is now nerfed. The zombie spawning algorithim is awful (I've had them spawn inside my house in full lighting, multiple times).

Zombies are now annoying as hell and the game isn't as fun because of this.

The sheer amount of bugs proves that people are basically paying to be bugtesters (obviously Mojang is too cheap to hire any.)

    >let's throw around ad hominems!
    Yeah, nah.

They do in 1.6.2. Please don't judge an update if you haven't played the latest version.

What are you even talking about? Did you read the thread title?

It's a failure. I've in 2 occasions had zombies spawn INSIDE my horse stalls, which are obviously fully lit, on another occasion a zombie spawned behind me (again, in full lighting) and knocked me into lava. I've seen 2 zombies spawn right in front of my eyes, about 2 blocks away from me, a snow golem, and a torch.
-I've lost horses to the noclip bug.
-Now golden apples cost more, so setting up a village will be even more of a grind.
-Hay bales don't even uncraft, so making them is a loss.
-None of the new horse related items are craftable
    -Saddles are STILL not craftable
-You can't take the chests off of donkeys (without killing them)

    >oh wow new coloured blocks and snow blocks that don't melt

posted a message on what do you guys think about 1.6 right now
Awfully buggy and I hate some of the nerfs and increases to 'difficulty' and the bugs that come with them. Horses are cool, but IRL horses can swim and Minecraft horses can't, they require gold to breed, and their items (nametags, saddles, armor) are not craftable, to me they seem pretty useless.

The above image does not reflect the current texture release of marshmallow pony, in the current texture the muzzle is lightened, there's more naturally beautiful eyelashes, and the ears are grey on the inside.

    To do list:
    - how do i shot resource pack
    - make resource pack available
    - dd purplesmart
    - Add orange background pony
    - Add ponka
    - Add bluefast and yellowquiet
    - Add sunbutt and moonbutt
    - ???
    - PROFIT!!!

posted a message on 1.6.1 Better or for worse?
This game is now a joke. They think nerfing the player makes the game more fun, it doesn't. They think skeletons with knockback bows and full enchanted armor makes the game more fun, it doesn't. They think horses being unable to swim balances them, it doesn't. They think horses are a late game item and no crafting recipes for horse items adds difficulty, it adds tedium. They think nerfing gold apples adds difficulty, it adds monotony. I could go on, but I won't.

Mojang doesn't care that much about Minecraft, they're rolling in dough and their priorities are Scrolls, monetization and eliminating pirates. Notch all but quit (why dev when you're filthy rich?), the game is pretty much left to Soupbone, as babbys first game, and Jeb and Grum.

Anyone who watched UHC would know DB is not qualified to be developing PvE or PvP aspects of the game.

Gold apple nerfs, zombies spawning within 2 blocks of me in full lighting, no crafting recipes for some of the horse items, horses can't swim, horses noclip, untamed horses can't breed.
Plays like a snapshot, indeed the "Worst Update Ever".

I want craftable name tags, etc. and stained glass as well but it's never gonna happen, face it, Mojang can't into making a decent game. The 'end game' is a joke. Horses are useless.
