try allocating more ram or installing optifine to improve performance (lower render distance, play on lower graphics etc.)
Is this on SP, SMP, or both?
I decided to look into what armour is best value to make, both in durability, and armour points given. Here are the results I found:
Durability
I formatted the results as DURABILITY OF ARMOUR divided by (/) ITEMS REQUIRED = VALUE PER ITEM
LEATHER
80/8=10
75/7=10.71
55/5=11
65/4=16.25 GOLD
112/8=14
105/7=15
77/5=15.4
91/4=22.75 IRON / CHAIN (Chain has a lower protection value then iron)
240/8=30
225/7=32.14
165/5=33
195/4=48.75 DIAMOND
528/8=66
495/7=70.71
363/5=72.6
429/4=107.25
The results show that the fewer resources required to make the item (within their tiers) increases the value of that item. It also shows that helmets break the fastest which be expected of the boots. This means that boots cost the least to make but last the longest value wise.
Armour Points
This is the number of armour points granted when putting on the armour (this is visible above the health bar.
This shows that there is often little or no difference between armour point levels amongst the different tiers. A leather chestplate, for example is the same value as a diamond helmet or boots. It is also shown that often the helmet is the same value as the boots but has lower durability (see above), making them very weak. Despite what some people believe, gold and chain are at different levels of protection, but only in the pants. In a pvp battle I recommend giving both sides the same pant type if you are playing chain vs gold.
I hope you found this interesting, if it helped feel free to share it with your friends or if you have something to add please post it below.
I am trying to use this mod along with several others, but it is not working. When I try to place a painting, nothing happens, not the GUI or normal painting or even a crash. It just refuses to place. The mods I have installed are optifine, modloader, spawner gui, toomanyitems, and this. Thanks
The reason I haven't been working on this map much lately is because I am working on a new and better map, called Mystic Caverns. I have posted some images and details on a new forums page, and would really appreciate it if you were to check it out, http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1490393-ctm-mystic-caverns-wip/
Thanks guys
I know that it has been a while, but I haven't been working to much on this lately due to some problems I have encountered (which are mostly fixed). I have added a new area (Snowy River of Despair) and added more photos. I hope you enjoy the look of the new areas, and remember to play my other CTM map in the mean time.
I'm running a youtube channel and I want to add some subscribers>I started it today and I was thinking if anyone, maybe the map maker whoever wants can do an lets play. So how do you think? Please, tell me. I would appreciate it.If you want to do it we can make it at the end of the month.
It would probably not be easy with timezone differences and exams at the end of the month, so sorry, but if you do make one, I would love to see it.
I have started work on my second CTM map, after a huge success with my first, which can be seen HERE. This map is extremely different to the first one, as it starts off in a huge room with paths leading to each area. Each area will contain one wool and together they complete the Display Case. There is no download yet as only four areas out of sixteen are finished, but here are some pictures so tell me what you think!
Undergrowth (Starting Area, Location of Display Case, Central Hub to all other Areas)
No Tricks nor Traps, Just Fire and Death
Molten Mountain
Snowy River of Despair
Wool = BrownDifficulty = Bedrock
{Brown_Wool.png} has been hidden due to the risks associated with this area. The extreme difficulty must be viewed in game as pictures cannot express it.
Please let me know what you think of the areas built thus far, so I can make future areas as enjoyable as possible
By pick up heads, do you mean build them with the other heads instead of pumpkins? The tombstone would be amazing, and the coloured cauldron would be esthetically pleasing.
