Having to remake boats is annoying, yes, but the thing that irks me most is disembarking by the shore only to be teleported 60 blocks out to open sea while my boat casually drifts away (or smashes to pieces.)

I'll be at work. You guys have fun, though!

IGN: Currently "Posh_Fezzcrab" , but my original name was R4bid_Ch1pmunk.
Will you be recording? My computer is not capable of rigorous recording, but I am willing to take part in collabs as long as my mic is up to par.
Age (Not required): I am seventeen, have a part-time job, and am in college, so free time is a valuable commodity.
Skype (Not required): Posh_Fezzcrab (Or if you search by username, try r4bid_ch1pmunk,)
Why should I accept you? I am a fun, if not funny, person to be around, and I enjoy participation with others. I am a better than average builder, a modest person, and refuse to use foul language or be discourteous. I will be glad to be a part of community activities, especially involving building and growing civilization, but won't be too disappointed if i happen to miss out on the pvp activities. I have a decent understanding of redstone, and can follow a tutorial as well as the next person. When it comes to houses or other buildings, I focus more on the looks than the use, so don't expect too many autofarms out of me.
Why do you want to join? As I stated above, I enjoy being a part of a friendly community. To be honest, I also like having an audience for my artworks, so playing multiplayer in a non-griefing environment is a pleasure. I don't like having group resources, but I do think that a method for borrowing and bartering is preferable to a direct currency plugin.
Will you be active: As said under the "Age" category, my time is limited by work and school. Minecraft allows me to relax and exercise my creativity, however, so I will be on when I have time and will participate in group activities when I am able. I cannot make promises as to the amount of time I can spend on this server, but the time I do spend will be part of the group.

Distributing the game's files themselves, to the point where Minecraft is playable without purchase of the game, is in direct violation of the terms of service. Mods are permitted by the EULA, as long as they obey certain rules. Any modifications to the game are considered property of Mojang, and the creator is required to "give [Mojang] permission to use, copy, modify and adapt that content." Mods actually bring more sales, as one of the aspects of the game is the vast modding community. The EULA discourages selling Minecraft content, (mods, youtube videos, texture packs, etc...) but they are willing to allow the content creators to collect ad revenue from their work.
In short, mods are legal as long as they require the base game of minecraft to play.

You can't go to jail for modifying game files for personal use. It is illegal only to distribute said files, claim credit for them as your own creation, or possibly use the coding techniques for your own creations, if there is a copyright on that as well.

With the enchanting system the way it currently is, adding more enchantments would only make it more difficult to find the ones you want.

I would like to point out that the area labeled "1" is just an unexplored area on the map.
EDIT: Also, the mysterious object from the second picture is a partially obscured dead bush. Close examination reveals the pointed corners belonging to the right edge of the dead bush.

I find it is cheaper (and faster) to invest in an efficiency 4-5 diamond pick than to use tnt.

Welcome to the forum, Koitsu! I hope you find everything you are looking for.

1. Age? I am 17 years old, as of a few days ago.
2. How long have you played Minecraft? I have been playing Minecraft since Beta 1.6, or 2011.
3. What is your favorite aspect of MC? I actually have two favorite aspects of Minecraft. Firstly, the ability to create anything you can imagine, with the wide array of available materials and locations, and, secondly, the chain of inspiration that connects all Minecraft builders.
4. Do you watch MCvideos? If so, who do you enjoy watching? My favorite Minecraft youtuber is VintageBeef, from the Mindcrack server. I used to watch Yogscast Sjin's "Let's Build" series, but they have recently declined.
5. What level would you consider your ability with Redstone? Little to none. I can follow to tutorials fairly well, but my expertise without them is limited to 1x2 piston doors.
6. Will you be active? Between a part-time job and a college education, time for relaxation is important and scarce. I can't make any promises for my time, but I would be on for likely more than 4 hours per week.
7. What type of block do Mooshrooms spawn on? Moshrooms spawn in the wild atop Mycelium blocks, but only in the appropriate biome. If a pair of them are given wheat, however, a third will spawn on almost any block nearby.
8. IGN? Posh_Fezzcrab (Formerly R4bid_Ch1pmunk, pre-patch.)
9. Do you accept all rules? Yes, I do. I am especially fond of the second rule, with the quote "As individuals we can create good things but as a community we can create amazing things!"

Sort of like snapshots and pre-releases for the PC?

Minecraft for the PS3 has been out since December, 2013, less than a year and a half. By comparison, Minecraft for PC has been around since 2011, nearly 4 years. My point is, Minecraft PS3 has more content after 1.5 years than Minecraft PC did, so you should be happy with what you have.

I would be very interested in joining. This looks like the start of a wonderful idea.
In-game name: Posh_Fezzcrab
Age: 17
What makes our server interesting? The community and colony aspect. I also have been looking for a good vanilla-survival server for a while.
What do you plan to do in the server? I plan to build and explore, cooperating with other people to make amazing things.
Do you prefer to play solo[/i] or in a group[/i]? I like to have my own house and chests, but in close proximity to other people. Sharing things like farms, enchanting tables, and portals also goes a long way to community development.
Do you consider yourself a leader[/i] or follower[/i]? Given that I do not know anyone else from the server, starting in a leadership role would not be a good fit. I feel that I have the potential ability to lead, once I have some experience and reputation on the server, but for now I am content to be a part of someone else's group.
Do you like to play PvP[/i] or non-PvP[/i]? I have no desire to fight anyone, and prefer to live without fear of discovery or death. My greatest enjoyment while playing multiplayer comes from showing and seeing the houses, towns, and cities of everyone on the server. If the colonies do end up at war, I would not likely be a good candidate for an army.
About yourself: As stated above, my biggest reason for playing multiplayer is to display my accomplishments and find inspiration in others'. I spend time on creative servers as well, for this reason, but finding a good community to build amazing things has been my goal from the start.
I live in America, (Central Time Zone, GMT -6), and have both a job and college classes, so my time spent on the server might be less than some other people's. I have almost-perfect grammar and spelling, and can type fairly quickly, so communication should not be a problem.

According to this page about the EULA, trial periods are allowed, as long as both trial members and paying members are given the same gameplay opportunities.
"Can I offer a limited trial period for all users?
Yes. So long as both trial and paying users have access to the same gameplay features during the trial, we’re cool with it."
Also, @OceanPvPCraft, if this is, in fact, an outdated version of the EULA, would you be so kind as to provide a link or address to the new one?
@HeyZootie, I have modified my original post concerning mod content to display the follow-up EULA's paragraph on modded content.
0
Given that mod features are property of the mod author, restricting these would fall under a license agreement with said mod author, not Mojang's EULA. An example would be the server owner paying 10% of the donations to the creators of the mods used on the server. If you did plan on making a legal case against this server, I would recommend speaking with the mod authors about the matter.
EDIT: After reading the follow-up Q&A about monetization, it is clear that modded content is still protected by Mojang, and counts as Minecraft's gameplay under the EULA.
"Does the EULA still apply for access to user-created mods?
Yes. It doesn’t make a difference who made the mods, or how they were implemented onto your server. All mods require Minecraft to run. You are not allowed to charge for Minecraft features which affect gameplay."
