I made a suggestion for the PC version that had something but it got shot down. I don't really think it would work because of how small the nether is but I will share it anyways, possibly for the next gen consoles. You all know how we have half of the nether not in use, right? There is nothing above level 128 but it goes all the way up to 256. I was thinking we make use of this. My ideas of usage for this would be to have surface things on this layer, making it look like a surface, rather than just a giant cave. This would make it truly a separate dimension rather than just a cave far under the overworld. This would include things such as mountains, plains, volcanoes, acid rain that hurts you, Pigman villages , and hellish forests. The red dragon should spawn here, but have to be summoned. There should be a different kind of stone from layers 128 up though. Nether stone or something like that. Keep layer 128 and below the same though. That is where you would spawn under normal conditions.
Throwing works really well.
It doesn't have much knockback, but it slows your enemies and really doesn't need it unless fighing creepers.
Now I just need a musket to deal with those pesky skeletons, unarmored in open, they take me down to 1/2 hearts everytime no matter how erratically I run at them.
I hate the spear. My guy only throws the spear like four feet and it does like no damage. I personally prefer the blunderbuss do to it dealing more damage up close and being far cheaper to shoot. The main reason why the blunderbuss is so cheap is because I have a gravel generator.
I was referring to THE ARMOR CHANGES I read it extremely carefully. I stand by my original point that making something toggleable does not make it any better.
I'll bet money that had they had muskets in mind they would have said something along the lines of, "Ok, we will never add into Minecraft anything from the SKG mod." or whatever that mod was called. BTW It has been awhile since they said that and I can't remember the exact wording and I couldn't even find anything about this, so if my information is a little off sorry.
The kid that asked them to add guns directly referenced the SDK mod. I saw the video myself.
And is this a suggestion for something 4J is to implement or some kind of project of yours?
Not a suggestion, just something posted in the wrong section. Anyways, real men play factions. Faction plugins would be much more appreciated than hunger games.
I said that you can enable THE ARMOR CHANGES, not the firearms. Read my post carefully before you accuse. Secondly, this idea still has a chance. People change there minds, including Mojang.
It should be some kind of option called "realistic armor" or something like that.
May I ask how zombie villagers are different? Zombie villagers are the same as zombies. Except they look slightly different.
This does serve a unique purpose. Lots of mobs have variation, like spiders = spider jockies, skeleton=wither skeleton, zombie=zombie villagers, etc. And secondly, this mob is different from the normal blaze in many ways. Firstly, they drop fire charges, secondly there attack pattern and size are different.
I support. It gives more variety and challenge to the game.
I guess you can count the fact that zombie villagers can be turned back into regular villagers, but other than that, you are right, they are just zombies that look different.
There is two tiny flaws to it though. If you die, you lose all of your items. So how would you get the key back? Perhaps they can make it so that the key doesn't disappear. Another flaw is, if somebody breaks the block beneath the door, the door would break, thus allowing greifers and unwanted "visitors" in your home.
I also like the door idea because of how it would look. And it would be a nice thing to add.
Well, if you are stupid enough to make a block under the door that can easily be mined, that is your own fault. On faction servers, unless people can blow up the place with a TNT cannon, there is no way to break the block under it. (This applies to next gen consoles because there was word of them adding servers) Personally, sometimes I would only use it for the look not even to keep out other players.
A door that cannot be blasted through and needs a special key. Perfect if faction servers were ever added. There would be no way into an obsidian house.
When you really think about it, firearms would not be too overpowered in Minecraft. It needs to reload, which can take a bit of time. And secondly, 4J and Mojang said that they would not allow guns, but they meant firearms like machine guns and assault rifles. All we are asking for is a simple musket or perhaps a flintlock pistol. Only two firearms, no big deal. This firearm idea might still have a chance. And why is everybody focusing on firearms and armor, we should be focusing on all of the weapons suggestions, and giving advice to improve them, not just arguing over and over about firearms.
The armor changes aren't too bad. Maybe there can be an option enabling them on/off so that way people playing single player won't deal with the armor changes.
I support the idea. You guys should at least if you don't support it to actually suggest ideas to make it better, rather than saying NO SUPPORT GET A LIFE!!!!!
It is people like you that make me feel like God hasn't forsaken us all.
I thought you guys would understand but I guess not. Last and I have pretty much given up hope for anything in this topic to ever enter the game. When I started this topic over a year ago, I was asking for a more improved combat system that wasn't treated like a second thought and thrown together in five minutes. I guess that was too much to ask for. Not long ago, Last requested I add a poll to this topic. I have refused to do that because I knew I would be horrified by the results. I should have known that I was fighting a losing battle, and that the backlash would never stop. I honestly think that if this topic got more support than non support, it still would have a slim chance of getting into the game, and now its chance of getting in the game is pretty damn close to zero.
So yeah, to sum up this post, I am giving up hope for this suggestion and for this sad edition of this bug ridden game that I regret getting addicted to in the first place. I could have beaten so many games in the time I have wasted playing minecraft, but nope; it pulled me in like a black hole and I am unable to escape it no matter how hard I try.
