If I would prefer to use MCPatcher's built-in mods (connected textures, custom colors, random mobs, et cetera), but I still need the FPS boost that Optifine provides, which files would I need to remove from Optifine to prevent conflicts? Are they the same files for every version of Optifine or does it change from patch to patch due to obfuscation?
Thanks for all you do for the Minecraft community; Optifine makes Minecraft playable on underpowered machines, you don't get nearly enough credit for what you do.
CTM on glass panes in the latest version makes them look like vanilla panes but connected. I am using optifine instead of mc patcher, but it has never happened with previous versions.
I figured out why it was doing that; Optifine uses the default ctm.png for glass panes (which was in older versions of this texture pack, but got removed). I just copied the old ctm.png from an old version and placed it into the new one (not in any folders, just in the same location as pack.png, terrain.png, etc.)
Hope this helps...
Yes, I understand that but the sides of the grass block remain green for me and don't change with the different biomes.
Then the problem lies with your graphics settings; If you are using Optifine, change the "Grass" setting under "Detail" to "Fancy"; If you are not using Optifine, then your "Graphics" setting will need to be set to "Fancy".
The only reason that I would want the players to split up is so that there would be the odd chance for two players to enter one of my entries from two different entrances and having TNT go off and freak out the person above the mine
But from a logistics standpoint, I understand the reasoning for teleporting all players to the same entry.
The more of this map I've seen, the more enthusiasm I gain! From looking at my entry in the Beta, all seems well. Now I'm really interested in what entries are connected to mine
Well... That sucks...
Here's hoping that MCEdit updates soon...
No need to worry about my entry, there shouldn't be any Item Frame glitchiness to worry about for mine...
This is because one of the entries was built in such a way that you can pass through the room two completely different ways, and it just so happens I used the two paths in different sections. For now.
If I remember correctly, that extra path was part of my entries wasn't it Hope that you were able to put it to good use!
Also, nice work on the MCEdit filter! I'm sure that it will continue to be useful even after the competition. (and sorry that my entry caused a bit of trouble for you...)
This is a cool pack. But if I use the pack, the game lags when the night comes. You should replace the night sky background first with the original Minecraft one.
Try turning off "Better Sky" or whatever that mod is called in MCPatcher and it should revert back to the original Minecraft sky. Let us know if the lag is reduced.
Feel free to publicly play through my entries; I was going to do that anyways, but now I don't have to If you want me to resend my entry with spawner position data, let me know through e-mail or YouTube PM. Do let everyone know when/if you are livestreaming your impressions!
Can the area underneath the template (but still within the iron wall boundry) be utilized for the story (building basements, tunnels, etc.) as long as it stays within the iron boundry or is it restricted only to redstone/spanwers/other special effect blocks?
