My ideas: The Dagger
Does a bit less damage than a stone sword just to make getting the soul crystals reasonably difficult. Necro-Crafting Table
Instead of having it's own crafting station, a more reasonable angle might be to include it in the coming alchemy/magic/enchanting table. Look up LightWarriorK's thread about alchemy to see what I'm referring to. Notch has already confirmed it as the planned system (that exact system, to the best of anyone's knowledge). The table seems like it will be perfectly suited to the task, and more likely than Notch adding another crafting station.
You get the gist. Different recipes would require different combinations of tomes, crystals, ores, and other resources around the edges, and object of the necromancy goes in the middle. (a dead body, or skeleton, or crystal, or such)
Otherwise, this sounds great.
Of course multiple monster suggestions can be in one topic...

Every single one of these ideas has been suggested in some capacity, I guarantee.
Having both redstone and bluestone dust come from modified redstone ore blocks seems like the best idea.
Works fine for me.
One thing to add might be that the proposed redstone circuit-chests could work with this system as well, taking input from either.
I'm fairly sure the hell dimension is going to take up the niche of fast travel between established points. Also, that's a lot of shameless repeat posting. Please, please learn to use the edit button.
For the most part, I agree with Cyrix (as much as I always hate to say that). Please don't post ideas that already have about thirty threads dedicated to them. Maybe a second, third, or even a fourth thread about something might be okay, if the idea varies, but not a 30th or so clone. I also think that a grappling hook doesn't fit the game.

Adding a metric ****ton of mobs makes it really complicated. I think it would be better with a less complex list.
Preferable enemies that haven't been in every fantasy RPG ever. No scorpions, no mages, no golems, no lave and ice versions of everything, no bats, mummies are cheesy as hell. The game already has the four most common enemies ever, it doesn't need any more totally clichéd mobs.
It also doesn't need to have every mythological creature that's ever been thought up.
Scorpions aren't in every fantasy RPG; there are no "mages" on the list; what's wrong with golems?; The only thing with an ice version is a sprite; the only things with fire versions are sprites and golems; there are no bats on the list; mummies are cheesy, but that's really just a reskinning of the zombie to match a desert biome; Last time I checked, creepers are unique to minecraft; the list doesn't contain even a thousandth of every mythological creature ever thought up; a lot of the enemies I came up with on the spot, or took from people who came up with them
Also, one of the disclaimers of the list is that it suggests a ton of mobs, knowing that that many couldn't ever be implemented.
