Isn't the Z2300 the biggest set Logitech has? Last time I checked, they sold it for 300 euro's at the local electronics store.
Z2300 is the best 2.1 system they have (industry standard as well), they have a 5.1 system featuring all the same components though. 300 euros is a ripoff for the Z2300s.they are about 150-160USD so unless the exchange rate is much higher than I think it is, you can do better.
ah yeah, thats the 2.1 version. I was thinking about the Z5500, which is the king of their collection.
Once you add in the cost of the windows equivalent of iWork (Microsoft Office), iLife (??), major OS updates, etc... it starts looking a lot more affordable. The high cost of the hardware helps pay for software development which is one of the reasons the suits that come with it are very good quality. And OS updates, compared to windows, are **** cheap because they're essentially subsidized by the hardware cost. $27 for OS X 10.6 vs $219 for Windows 7? $0 for iWork vs $349 for Office 2010?
$200 for a pc capable of running windows, linux and all other kinds of pc-based OS's fine, $1000 for a mac...
You know, what if outer-space species just don't live off oxygen and water but off other minerals/toxins/gasses/etc.? It'd make sense considering evolution and all that stuff.
Water and sunlight are the absolute prerequisites for life.
For earthling species, yes. There is no proof at all that outer-earth species require the same resources in order to live. There's quite the chance that they evolved into species that live other resources.

Get the Logitech Z-2300 or Klipsch Pro Media 2.1. Both are phenomenal systems. The Logitechs have more raw power and a more precises woofer (10" cone) while the Klipsch have superior L/R speakers but a less powerful 6.5" woofer. Both systems will make your room rattle, guaranteed. Spending a little more than what you have budgeted is WELL WORTH IT. Get good speakers and you won't need to buy new ones for years.
My friend has the Z2300 set, I live five floors below him and can hear his music if he wants me too. I personally have the Klipsch set, and they are wonderful as well.

I'm very fond of Logitech's speaker series myself, and I currently own a Logitech X-530 5.1 sound system. Great quality and easy to use, although the back speakers have kind of short cables.
Basically, post the specs of your pc. All of your pc's.
