I do make science topics but no one reads them or replies to them.

I made one today that was a quiz.

Edit: the only one who replied to it was poneboy

A quiz won't get you started on a discussion. Make topics about new technologies, new science things, etc. etc. stuff that can be discussed about even by those who aren't too much into science.

Don't cheap out on the PSU. Seriously.

This. Get a real brand, cheap ones can easily die within a year and you don't want that happening to you. I use a Chieftec myself, but AFAIK Antec, Coolermaster, Thermaltake and Zalman are also good to go.

AFAIK Joysticks often don't work when used as mouse because FPS's (including Minecraft) often center the cursor, while the joystick de-center it, often causing the player to spin around really fast.

If it helps to know, when I boot up the computer now, the command prompt pops up real quick and I believe it has something about application data in it.

Sounds like a virus; a lot of them nestle themselves in application data.
Are you able to scan your PC for crapware?

Yeah, but it seems this forum is about "Can I runz (insert game name)?!?!?!!?" threads, not about the science of computers, which I would love to know more about. Maybe a sub-forum "PC Building" or something like that, let physics and math dominate the science forum.

Thats because people rarely make science topics. There have been a few which got pretty big but eventually died like any other topic.

Honestly if you want science discussion then make some topics already. I'd be glad to discuss stuff.

Why would you want to remove your pagefile? It'll only slow down your pc a shitload.

    Thank you!

Do note that with this option, it is possible that it won't turn back to onboard automatically if your videocard ever dies. When this happens, all you do is reset the CMOS. (remove the master jumper or battery for a few secs, nothing more

    Quote from CaptinShoreshire

Hey guys, i recently Updated my motherboard and my cpu and all seems to be running fine, i kept my graphics card witch is a nvidia 8400gs (512mb) because i know it handles most of what i throw at it. but i was playing killing floor yesterday and as soon as about 20+ zombies came on the screen i froze up like none other, i beleive its because the system is still trying to use the onboard graphics (256mb) witch doesnt seem to make sense seeing how the gpu drivers are current and the moniter is pluged into the graphics card.

if anyone knows why my motherboard is doing this and know how to fix it please let me know, thanks!

Make the BIOS no longer use the on-board but use the PCIe slot instead. You should be able to find it somewhere near the northbridge settings.

posted a message on Connect 2 computers to internet from 1 ethernet wallplate
To be honest I doubt using those splitters will work, because, well, it doesn't sound very logical to me. However, go ahead and try, if it works do give us some speed tests. My solution to your problem would be using a second switch on the computer side or getting rid of the wallplate and then just put two cables through the wall.

    Quote from kuro_suna

What stand out for me is the first Mass Effect game. It has very little violence and is rated M while the star wars franchise has always been pg to pg-13 but has just as much fantasy laser gun shooting plus limb hacking, flesh burning and despite what fox news will tell you more boobies.

there's this one scene in which you have sex OUT OF SCREEN.

    THINK OF THE CHILDREN

anyways, OP, the game RUSE is pretty good and only rated T. Deathspank is also a good one thats T or something.

It sure as hell is a lot faster. I boot to desktop within a minute with my desktop that uses an SSD, while my laptop that uses HDD spents near 4 minutes getting everything ready.

Mine doesn't have those, and I don't want to buy a PS/2 to USB converter, because if it doesn't work I've wasted my money. :/

Have you tried any other USB keyboards then?
