I use a semi-wired mouse myself. (Logitech G700) I use it wired on my desktop, and when I want to use it on my laptop I just remove the cord from the mouse and plug the 1 centimeter big receiver (usb connector included) into the laptop. I don't have to worry about batteries because those get charged when I use it as wired and they last about 4 days.
unlike the other posters you had to look it up to know that laptops are difficult to upgrade and hard to find parts for. Which doesn't mean there arn't fixes, especially for a game like minecraft.
Of course I knew most laptops don't allow upgrading of anything other than RAM and HDD; That's basic knowledge. However, there are a bunch of laptops out there that actually allow CPU and GPU upgrades. So don't tell me that "I had to look it up to know it" because that's plain ********.
Unlike the other posters, I did some research. Either way, the G60-441US does not allow for CPU or GPU upgrade; only RAM and HDD upgrades. Most laptops don't do well for games, especially when they have an Intel GPU, which most do.
Why on earth did you put this on the Minecraft forums? I know this is the off-topic thread, but WTF.
Jesus christ will you people start reading the content of your goddamn monitors already? This is the Computers, Technology & Science forum and this section has nothing to do with Minecraft. If you don't like it, then don't even click on this part of the forum.
I swear you'd almost think half the forums are blind.
[rant]Forget about high school, we have Wikipedia in our eyes! [/rant]
Oh god that'd be a great usage. Algebra class? **** your ****, Wolframalpha all up in this *****. [insert language here] class? Google translate/Wiktionary yo! Now all we need is expandable memory and we'd be able to store entire sections of Wikipedia in our head!
As far as I know, I wasn't infected anytime recently. Either way, how do you propose I go about downloading that when in safe mode, where I can't go online, or even use a flashdrive?
Plus, why would a virus only affect me in regular mode, I'd imagine the problem I'm having has something to do with the drivers considering safe mode runs the computer with all drivers disabled.
When asked to start safe mode, choose for "safe mode with networking enabled". This should enable network access and thus, internet. The reason a virus wouldn't affect you in safe mode is because safe mode disables more than just drivers.
Look a bit further, I have an Acer Aspire 5742G myself that runs on an i5-460M CPU and an nVidia 420M. Runs Minecraft at 150fps easily altho I limit it at 50 or so, for battery reasons plus I don't like to waste resources unnecessary - its not like I'll see more than the refresh rate of my monitor.
If I'm not wrong the Aspire 5000 series has a few AMD and nVidia models with i7 cpu's; both will do fine because laptops aren't made for gaming anyways.
I think this new technology is marvelous. Just think of the possibilities; HUDs, the ability to read out QR using your eyes, I can't wait for these things to become available for consumer use.

Don't assume things too quick.

you can change your power scheme there, which controls when your monitor goes off and when other hardware gets put in standby.

Not sure about using the CPU; its a single-core. Do they even sell those these days?
