edit: actually, scrap ultimate, get professional instead. Saves you a good 100 bucks and ultimate goes out of support in 2015 whereas professional will be supported until 2020.
If it's a laptop, you'll need to buy a whole new motherboard.
As for a desktop, I'd go for an ATI Radeon™ HD 5670 they're really good. You're gonna need a power supply greater or equal than 400 watt, though.
No, don't get an Ati Radeon 5670, they're low-budget cards, and really not the best choice. If personally recommend the Nvidia GTX 560 TI, it's a very good card for money, and won't let you down like the ATI cards will. Apart from that, the 5670 is already a generation behind.
What the hell? There's a good $100 difference in price there. You can't compare those two on the same budget. And don't give me crap that nVidia cards are godly compared to AMD, because thats ******** and you know it; I've owned nVidia myself and AMD works just as well.

If I'd have to choose between the HD5670 and HD5770 I'd go for the latter, I've owned two for a year or so before switching to my current HD6970 and holy damn they were good. Runs every source game (not sure about portal 2) on high settings and a lot of other games on full, too. Newer games will play great at medium and Crysis 2 didn't show any problems either.
Get the 6950 absolutely. If you get the 1Gb version, it will be much less than 560 Ti. In most games 6950 beats 560 Ti easily.
And bassdoken, you know you can't kill your gpu with lack of power, it will just shut down...
I'm not talking about lack of power from the PSU, he has enough wattage from the PSU to power the card. I'm talking about the power connections on the card itself. Hurr durr. I thought that was pretty obvious. The card has a lack of power inputs that are on the 6970 but are missing on the 6950, so there is a lack of power. Critical thinking skill, what is it?
le undervoltage. No idea if the 6950 got an undervoltage-lockout circuit tho. And even if it does, it'll just shut down all the time.
As far as I get it, even if time travel would get possible I'd guess it'd only be possible to send stuff forward in time. Going backwards would only cause paradoxes.
If you have a 64-bit CPU (which they almost all are by now, haven't seen a 32-bit in quite some time) then I don't see why not to install a 64-bit version of an OS. Even if you don't use more than 4GB RAM, at least it prepares it for possible future upgrades.
And hey, guys, keep it cool, alright? No need to fight around.

Yeah, having to open the menu all the time is rather annoying.

I've got icons disabled, the only thing I use is the start menu, the stuff that's pinned on my taskbar and some widgets. Also, hotkeys.
