also... pet peeve... i dislike 1 chunk size biomes it looks so weird when it snows in 1 chunk, rains in the one next to it and nothing in the 3rd one...
I'm not a huge fan of it either, but unless I'm missing something (which is quite likely), so long as bees require specific biomes the only other alternative is to require people to build for hundreds of blocks in order to try to find the right biome for what they need
Some progress has been made, and I now have a version of the map with at least a 6x6 portion of all the biomes that I am guessing bees need: Plains, Forest, Taiga, Jungle, Swamp, Ice Plains, Ocean, Desert, Extreme Hills. All should be available within 16 blocks of the island.
What I need to know is, are any other biomes needed for full bee integration, or is that enough?
Okay, so I'm going to update the map to fully support the new bee integration.
Could someone provide me with a list of all the biomes needed by Forestry, Extra Bees, and Magic Bees?
I really don't know much about the whole bee system, I haven't played with forestry a whole lot.
I should be able to make all necessary biomes available within 100 blocks of spawn.
Rare silkworm breeds that give colored string which can be used to make colored wool.
I really like the sound of this idea!! Maybe they could be bred to drop even more than coloured string...
Although it would have to be different enough from forestry's bee breeding...
Maybe silkworms could factor into the forestry integration somehow. Perhaps you could mutate them (maybe using witch water!) into some kind of primitive bees, which you then breed together in the hopes of getting regular bees...
I don't know, just some random rambly thoughts. Anyway, can't wait to see what you come up with!
Loving the 50th anniversary update!! Really amazing work.
One thing though, As it stands at the moment, Gallifrey is too OP. Every single spire in the citadel is composed entirely of Iron Blocks, and the Conference room has about a dozen diamond blocks. This is just too much, considering the relatively cheap cost to craft a tardis. I think it would be best if you either changed the materials in the citadel, or at least added an option to the config to allow them to be changed.
As much as I appreciated your experience I really meant what update you had, for example the first time I updated my version of the Dalek Mod it was the Time Travel update. My first version was (i think) update review 10 what with the asploding daleks and stuff.
My first update was when the sonic screwdriver was first added, back in 1.4.something
Is there a "trick" to getting string from silkworm-infested leaves now? I've been going through trees with crooks for awhile now and I'm getting a lot more silkworms than string, and it's not because they aren't totally white yet.
Would it be possible to make the drop rate of string from infested leaves a config option?
Yeah, I noticed this too. Breaking infested leaves with a crook only drops silkworms. You only get string by breaking the infested leaves with your fist.
Okay! I have updated the map to support the new void generation. The island is at the corner of three biomes: Plains, Taiga, and Jungle.
This means you can now get rain, snow, horses, wolves, and ocelots!
Map has been updated:
-Now supports the new void generation that's part of Ex Nihilo.
-Only one version now, one version to rule them all.
Having many versions was too confusing. The easy version was too easy, and the Hardcore version was not very popular.
-The island now spreads across three biomes: Jungle, Taiga, and Plains.
Unfortunately, I've noticed another issue: the bounding boxes of witch huts seem to be removed along with everything else. As a result, it is impossible for witches to spawn.

This mod is really cool!
The map is awesome, and everything is really well balanced. I think this could have a use even in a regular world.
Can't wait to see it update to 1.6.4!
