This is a 100% community driven project, we have tons of extremely talented regulars who help contribute to the pack in various ways, whether it be directly making textures, making other art assets for this post, or giving management advice to yours truly. I may have made this thread, but this pack would have gone nowhere without all the support from Eld's very dedicated fans, and to that I can't thank you all enough. I know I left this thread for a long time, and I do apologize deeply for that, but I'm here now and I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon!
If you want a more direct, convenient way to discuss the pack, I highly encourage you to check out my Discord, where I've made a channel specifically for discussing the Eldpack! There is currently a Github link there if you want to help contribute, as well as an updated todo list for textures. Plus it's a good place to bounce ideas off of people and get quick feedback! The link is here: https://discord.gg/rnMsn5W
Before closing, I'd now like to introduce to you: the Wall of Contributors!! This is way WAY long overdue, but I'd like to finally give proper credit to all the people that have made and continue to make this pack possible! Without you all, this pack would have truthfully faded away years ago, so I'd like to give the credit where it's deserved
Eld
eldrone - the man himself, of course without him this pack would LITERALLY not exist
Top Contributors
freem - Github maintainer and current top texture artist, heart of the modern operation
Altswang - laid the groundwork for the future of the pack, and helped maintain it in my absence
SdSquid - crucial early member in providing many, MANY needed textures through many versions
Buster - responsible for a staggering amount of textures in a very short time; destroyer of TODO lists
_BIG_G_ - main (only) Bedrock tester, keeps all new textures named properly & found many oversights
Jared (pigpig278/lulls) - made the original thread assets, as well as the current ones still in use

Note: This section is FAR from incomplete, the original thread was deleted and many contributors were lost
If you have any info or way to get more from this era, please let me know! Wayback Machine only has the first few and last pages of the thread, so I have no way of knowing who else helped during this time...

The inventory is from a youtuber named ImEmma (of course, as it says). The hotbar is a simple default edit, and there's no reasonable way we can determine where it's from considering the unorganized cesspool that is the world of default pvp edits.

I vouch for Sanity, it's indeed a very solid pack imo

Think this is better?
Any other issues?

Trying something a bit different from what I usually go for, could anyone give feedback on this and/or improve it?

even after my GPU upgrade, I'm able to run more intensive shaders but I still always come back to this one. Again, keep up the good work.

Had to log in just to say this:
Sildur, you do not get enough credit for your efforts. Your vibrant shaders are very well optimized and look absolutely amazing, adjusting my settings I can run 70fps on a fairly mediocre PC.
Running an old Bulldozer 4170 with HD 7770 GHz Edition GPU.

No offense, and this may come off as rude, but don't spew about nonsense when you don't know what you're talking about.
This isn't true, this has never been true.
Spreading vague misinformation like this is a very bad habit. Not only for you, but for everybody around you.

Aw, don't do that. It's one thing to have preference, but we need more equal competition in the GPU space in order for future products to actually improve. When one company has significantly more market share than the other, it gets to a point where progression comes to a stand still. I know what you mean though, I understand the preference for Nvidia.
It's hard to use general GPU benchmarks to measure Minecraft performance. Newer generation "Polaris" cards might improve or even fix this problem, but AMD's current GCN architecture seems to really hate Minecraft's OpenGL implementation for some reason. That's why in the case of Minecraft, a GTX 970 outperforms an R9 390 by a significant margin.

I've been trying.
I'm disappointed with the lack of creativity that goes on within the competitive community as far as resource packs go. There's a few that are unique, but are mostly 16x16 edits of default (See; Plast Pack, Infinite Pack).
Nobody wants to branch out anymore. Nobody seems to be putting in the time to make clever or detailed textures anymore. Rather than practice creativity in pixel art, everybody's playing it safe by making simple default edits or combining hundreds of textures from many different packs in hopes of their pack becoming popular.
I get that not everybody's into detailed or even good-looking textures, but it has gotten to the point where the average person doesn't even know that resource packs aside from the default or generic pvp edit exist. This saddens me because so many talented artists making packs on these forums are being overshadowed by the lazy.
That's why I'm such a huge fan of Lithos. It's a faithful-to-default pack that has the refreshing creativity that we need.

Not OP, but for reference these are the things most people look for in a pvp edit.
- Low Fire, for visibility when your opponent has an enchanted weapon and/or lava
- A good crosshair (Lithos already has this, maybe downsize it a bit.)
- Highly visible ores that stand out more from the stone than usual.
- Some feature a transparent inventory while others do not.
- Mostly default colors and/or styling (Again, Lithos already has this)
- Clearer water textures
- Less obtrusive rain
Lithos is a perfect pack for a PvP edit. I made my own private one for personal use a while back because I liked the pack so much, glad that it could get an official edit in the future.
