How about making creepers go in and out of a "hibernate" mode in deserts at day randomly? It would simplify your proposed mechanic.

    Quote from Frontrider

I tried hoppers with jukeboxes too,but with a different goal.Jukeboxes have interaction with comperators.they are not stackable.if they had interaction with hoppers i could create the biggest data storage. Each disc would be one bit. Not hexadecimal, because we dont have enough discs, but we could store 27 bits of data in a single block(chest/chest minecart).

Chests can store way more than that - all I-don't-know-how-many item ids in the game.

posted a message on Spinning Pistons? Good idea or not?
    Quote from Frostsbite

I think its pretty self explanatory I don't understand why people don't get it, but allow me to explain: Spinning Piston is a piston that spins...Purpose? It could have a bunch. Support? No.

I still don't understand. A spinning piston could rotate a block, move a block in a circle around it, spin by itself, create an entity that spins acting as a wheel, spin by itself "rolling" blocks along like a conveyor belt... There are many possibilities.

How is this red grass and orchid useful? It's just a useless and (imo) unfitting retexture of already existing things.

No. It doesn't look cool. No. It doesn't look professional. No, you mentally disagreeing and shaking your head at these very words do not remove the truth of the aforementioned statements.

We can see your username just fine. Your post is not the bottom of a contract or check. We do need reassurance of what your username is. It usually comes off as arrogance or a failed attempt to look "pro" with your suggestion.

We don't like seeing posts that look like the following:

posted a message on Suggestion: Rewrite the Game Engine in JRuby!
    Quote from MikBeTK

    You mad bro'?

I actually do know Java. Along with many, many other languages. In fact I love learning new languages. You can watch one of my video LearnAlong series as I learn Boo in Unity here:
    http://www.youtube.c...42DE1D2842A5C65

And you can watch a series I started on cross-platform programming using C# and Objective-C here:
    http://www.youtube.c...tBk12sf7S9sxUy-

Ironically it seems you're the one that don't like new things since you hostility declare, "Ruby is some kind of weird new programming language. I don't know how to use it, but it's pretty popular, I guess."

I like new things. You're not the only person that likes to program. My sentence was actually in your favor, as I could have just went along with everyone and said that I'd never heard of Ruby and it would be terrible and horrible etc. Your defense solely consists of insulting me and saying that you already know Java, which isn't a very strong point. You never refuted the argument that Mojang isn't going to rewrite their entire game to support less well-known languages.

    Quote from JohnnyAwesome323

But rewriting in another language is like telling a construction worker to restart when he almost finished and say "That doesn't look right, tear it all down and build again."

That's actually a perfect description of what he's doing.

    Quote from Ttzara

It doesnt sounds like a bad idea but i have some questions here.. does the goo flow? If it flows how does it flows?
I forgot to add that. My bad. I'll add it now.

Swimming would be just spamming forward key so the holding thing can be easily avoided. How can that be tweaked?
Spamming forward key would be inefficient because the gaps between keypresses would be too long and too frequent.

Does it appears on the nature?
    No.

How does the higher speed of the breathing bar would be altered by enchantment or potions?
No effect. If you have a water breathing potion, still no drowning. If you have respiration, still double the speed

By now, as i said it doesnt sounds that bad but i dont find a good reason to be added either, you should add something for example a goo gollem crafted by 3 goo sources and a melon on top. The goo golem would shoot goo balls to enemies causing no damage but slowing them down. Remember, thats just an example but you should suggest something, by now im waiting some answers so im not going to state my side on this suggestion, at least not yet.

posted a message on Goo - Non-Newtonian Liquid Slime
The slime fluid HAS been suggested. But what I'm suggesting is different - it's a non-Newtonian liquid.

In real life, you can make non-Newtonian fluids with corn starch and water. A non-Newtonian fluid is special in that while Newtonian fluids become more runny when energized (moving, heated), non-Newtonian ones become more hard and slow that harder you try to push it.

Goo, my proposed fluid, can be created by combining a slime block with a bucket of water. This will yield a bucket of goo. Goo has several special properties.

First, you take damage when you fall into goo. The game treats it like a solid blocks, and you die ( or take damage ) upon impact.

Second, when you are sprinting, you can walk across the surface of goo. The game will also substitute it like solid blocks, and make you run smoothly and quickly. However, if you stop sprinting, you will fall into it as if it were water.

Third, when you try to move in it, your breath bar goes down at twice the normal speed. This simulates the increased viscosity of non-Newtonian fluids when you move in it.

Fourth, when swimming in it, you will move slower the longer you have been pressing a key. The speed you move in a single direction is defined by: normal walking speed / (1 + seconds you have been pressing / 3). This introduces interesting swimming timings and techniques.

I hope this is original, and I hope you enjoyed.

EDIT : The goo will flow 3 blocks, not very far.
