    Reika's mods did indeed make it really damn hard to move on to the newer versions :)

    That and Thaumcraft. 1.7.10 was great.

    I believe we're all waiting (quasi-patiently) for TLJGames to release a new version that provides better JEI support. I think :) At which point all will become clear with respect to fuels.

    I'm still stuck in 1.10.2, but honestly if NC ditched 1.10.2, I would probably find a way to do the same.

    Anyone who wants to take the time can go ahead and make a new Thaumcraft. By giving someone permission to edit his source code, he's giving away something very precious. I'm not even talking about creative discretion or intellectual property. Anyone who's ever developed in a closed-source environment for a living understands what I'm talking about.

    Its not something to be undertaken lightly. If the mod, as you say, gets buried alive, that's not rude: its just how it is.

    From the dev's perspective, it would be simplest to alter the bait recipe so that it required less fish.

    Fortunately, if it helps, you can do this yourself via minetweaker I believe, especially if you're playing solo.

    You're basically catching 3 fish and using a string with them to stick in a trap that will net you 3 fish over approximately 7 1/2 minutes. What's the point? Can we modify it so that it catches more fish per bait?


    IIRC, unless something changed, its 3 fish per 4 bait. Granted, a small fraction of what you catch (particularly frogs and shelled creatures) don't work for further bait recipes, but its still net-positive.

    Is JEI support annoying to incorporate at this time? It would be handy to get feedback from users during this phase of implementation, but testers are hard to involve w/o recipe lookups.
